    I had my reservations before going into this game begin based on a franchise, but I was very pleasantly surprised, this is a good game!

    the bad: - First hour feels rather generic and first enemies you encounter have a stupid AI (that improves later on though) the ok: -Graphics won't blow your mind, bud get the job done -There is a skill tree, but very basic the good: - the    I had my reservations before going into this game begin based on a franchise, but I was very pleasantly surprised, this is a good game!

    the bad:

    the ok:
    -Graphics won't blow your mind, bud get the job done
    -There is a skill tree, but very basic

    the good:
    - the characters are really deep and have a great backstory. superb job on the dialogue by the voice actors!
    - End of the hospitality level was a moment in gaming history for me :)
    - Great pacing in the game. It's also not too short, but doesn't overstay it's welcome either
    - It's nice they implemented a choice system which has an impact on the game

    An average video game in terms of graphics and game-play, but some wonderful Terminator fan service. Great atmosphere and music. Authentic enemies and weapons. The flaming Terminators, when they stand up after you think you've stopped them, are genuinely scary looking. Story and acting are nothing special but do the job. It serves as a nice compliment to the first 2 films and providesAn average video game in terms of graphics and game-play, but some wonderful Terminator fan service. Great atmosphere and music.     8/10 is generous, speaking objectively, but I enjoyed it and do recommend it to Terminator fans.

    Final observation- much of the game is extremely reminiscent of Fallout 3 - broken down cities, same colour palate, wooden conversations looking at NPCs directly in the face, lock picking, looting of lockers and fallen enemies, collecting books to raise your skill levels, skill trees, robot enemies, plasma guns. etc etc.    … Expand

    It's not the Outer Worlds, or Call of Duty, but it was still better than Fallout 76 and Anthem. It was a good Terminator Game. I felt like I was in the movie. The game is ugly as hell, but it they put a lot of care into it with the budget and people they had. Buy this game.

    This was an amazing game for the budget it had. I cant understand why people are giving this such bad scores. It has a great story, sticks to the original lore, has choices, crafting, and great FPS action. None of it is overbearing or tedious.     Dont listen to negative critics, this game is better then many others "big" name games, if u loved Terminator movies you will love this game 2. I would just like that this is 30+ hours game, but even without that you will enjoy it like I did.

    Pretty decent for a game on this kind of budget. It ain’t no AAA game but we need more titles like this. Between the indies and the blockbusters. You can see the creators care a lot about the lore of the 1st 2 films. It’s got it’s problems but all said and done it deserves your time and rewards it. especially if you are a fan of the original films.

    if I can say one thing that I hope you can take on, it would be Ignore the bad reviews, even the really bad ones e.g. 'Enzoc' on here! I'm an aging (40+)gamer and I love fps and the terminator. If you are into the terminator and fps, I can't see how you can fail to thoroughly enjoy this game, its absolutely fantastic I love it. Thanks to the guys that made it happen, please make more.

    El juego entretiene y da gusto jugarlo. el tema de las habilidades y puntos de experiencia le da cierto toque de evolucion del personaje. Ademas de estar integrado con las 2 primeras peliculas, siendo una historia sencilla pero efectiva. Los graficos son muy genericos pero lo compensa con diversion.

    Old visual? Perhaps.
    But this game is what you need if you like or love Terminator universe.
    Great atmosphere, original soundtrack, canonical future war from original Cameron movies dilogy and interesting story in the aggregate with interesting (but non original) games mechanics make this game best Terminator game ever.

    When you think about the money they had, its really a great game. A lot of memoriables from the first two Terminator movies. In my opinion every Terminator fan need to play this, and every Ego shooter Fan at least should take a look.

Granted, it's not a AAA game, and some of the facial character models almost look PS3-ish, but that tiny flaw isn't irking me at all, not even in the slightest. Not every game will be photo-realistic with a multi-million dollar budget, and truly, I don't want that realism in every game.
    I think this game is awesome for what it is, making the very best of it mediocre, AA budget. It may have a couple flaws, but nothing that's putting me off. Actually, it's quite the opposite -- I had a problem turning this game off tonight, to tell you the truth.
    Don't let some of these bad reviews fool you. Fans of the best 2 Terminator movies, the 1st 2, or fans of 1st person shooters with slight RPG mechanics will likely not regret buying this. One may want to wait for a price drop, but I didn't. And truly, I don't regret it. Not one bit.    … Expand

    I played for a few hours and had some good fun, some stealth segments, some Elder Scrolls looting system, tasteful sex scene, How the critics found this below a 7 is a mystery to me.

    Also I feel there was too much loot to collect for crafting etc , you were never really short of anything. But overall i say buy this game, dont pay full price thought wait for it to come down a bit . Or if you cant wait , go get it!    … Expand

    The developers have put together a greasy game with such a limited budget. Music is on point, atmosphere is immersive and the gameplay solid. This is the sort of game Bethesda should be making.

It's available on PS4 and Xbox One, but also on multiple PC platforms, including Steam, and even Good Old Games (GOG) without any Digital Rights ManagementIf you're a fan of the original James Cameron directed Terminator movies, this game seems designed from the ground up to appeal to that nostalgia, and it does so in surprisingly good fashion for what amounts to a high end AA game.     The small Polish developer Teyon isn't exactly Infinity Ward or Bethesda, and has nowhere near the resources of a large developer, but the environment visuals, human soldier attire, and Terminators look very good, even if the human character models and facial expressions are decidedly last generation. The only avoidable negatives concern the voice acting and writing. The voice acting for the main character (and a few others) is poor, and the dialogue seems to have been written by someone who – while fluent – is not a native English speaker. It's not always apparent, but it seems Teyon failed to have someone read over the English dialogue and localize it properly in many instances.

    The game is an accessible First-person shooter – with survival/crafting mechanics – in a series of small open worlds ("zones") to which the player travels to complete various quests/objectives, all wrapped in a linear story. The player can make choices through dialogue with various non-player characters, and objective completion, the result of which can influence how the story unfolds later on (albeit to a relatively superficial degree). The game also has intangible qualities not found in major titles anymore. The primary concern of the developers seems to have been to create a fun game first and foremost, without pretentious story-telling or sociopolitical pandering, and it's helped in that regard by having a solid pre-existing narrative and universe to draw on. Unfortunately, it seems more and more that only small, cohesive developers like Teyon are even theoretically capable of developing games in this manner, and even in the case of this game, two cut scenes were partially self-censored by Teyon, allegedly at the request of "Microsoft and Sony" (per a Tweet from the developer's Twitter account).

    In short, if you like First-person shooters, and the original Terminator movies, you're going to want to give this imperfect-but-memorable game a go. You will not be disappointed.    … Expand

Anyways the first 2-3 hours of the game were kinda of boring in some way but later in the game it gets pretty fun. The ai could use some serious work though. So many times I would walk in front of a t 800 and it would just stare at me. Also so many times seeing terminator shooting atI'm going to be honest.     Sadly, it took more than 20 years to deliver. But as I started the game, and heard the still awesome soundtrack, it finally arrived. It's hard to describe how I felt inside, once I had to hide from the first T800, with that pumping machine drone sound in the background and with a completely useless weapon in my hand.

    Later in the game, you reach a resistance hideout and it looked so...right. I instantly started to look for a burning tv set...and I found it...I was finally there....*tears up*

    Still, if you want to be really honest, this is a just-above-mediocre oldschool shooter. The KI isn't good, and the animations of the non-terminator npcs look quite clunky, but I don't care. This is what I always wanted, since Kyle Reese told me about the dogs.

    7/10 for pure gameplay

    If you like terminator 2 this game is bomb as hell. Seriously it's perfect. The only criticism is that it's a $40 game. I wish they made a longer full prices $60 game. But still it's the best terminator game ever and gives fans exactly what we want. The graphics are good, the guns sound and feel good, there's a decent levelling system i wasn't expecting, the robots are smart and there'sIf you like terminator 2 this game is bomb as hell.     Terminator Resistance takes place during the future war where you set out to take down Skynet once and for all… The gameplay of terminator resistance changes up quite a bit as you go through this 6 hr story, at first it feels like a stealth survival game, as youre not equipped to take down terminators.. and the simplest enemies in the environment can pose a threat as youre set out onto a tiny map to complete a task, here youre also not able to take down terminators, so you have to stealth and sneak pass, really creating some intense moments.. but as the game goes on the game play picks up and becomes more action heavy.. youll earn skill points, be able to upgrade your character as well as your weapons, until the point where you can finally take these terminators on.. turning them into just an average enemy… and that’s one thing I love about this game.. is its progression of feeling hopeless to feeling like you can take down anything.. it’s a slow and satisfying progression.. its what kepped me hooked and pushing forward.. because sadly the story and world just don’t… the world is uninteresting and not really worth exploring and the story isn’t all too captivating… just a generic lets take down the corporation story…
    Thankfully though Terminator Resistance Is again only a 6 hours game… so I don’t mind the lifeless open map aspects.. this game flies by and im shocked to say I actually enjoyed it…
    that being said, the pacing could’ve been slowed down a bit towards the beginning for it got crazy.. I would’ve enjoyed a little more stealth sections with the terminators, this stealth mission was the best in the entire game
    I enjoyed sneaking through enemies, deciding if im going to play with force or stealth, and pushing through to become a terminator of terminators…
    I give Terminator Resistance

Shooting, stealth, loot, craft, we know the formula since a while. Graphics are not perfect butI expected nothing from it. After all, the last Terminator movie sucks big time!     It has been described as "Fallout light" I think that is fair as it is very similar to Fallout, though the multiple choice endings could've had more polish as it ends with a slideshow with what happened to each character.     Also there are romance scenes, you don't see anything. I don't really think they are needed, but who cares.

    We got lots of customization, gun upgrades, fan service weaponry, good crafting, exploration, small RPG dialog sequences that allow you to interact with characters in both small and large ways. We got sex scenes as well which took me completely by surprise because I had no idea how deep they'd go with their story aspect.

    Again, this game just came out of nowhere and I ended up feeling like I was playing a Metro in the Terminator universe. Its so freaking great. The voice acting is quite good, map design is very open and you can go about handling enemies in a variety of ways that all work well and aren't feeling generic.    … Expand

    I realy dug this game, we dont get many horror games with a good combat focus anymore. This game has elements of Dead Island , RE7 and Alien isolation, in my opinion and mixes aspect from those game very satisfyingly..

    I had trouble finding how this game performed on consoles.. PS4 its 1080p smooth 60 fps.. Xbox 1X its 4K fairly stable at 60 , but fine at 30 and PS5 and PC it runs best.

The terminators always look awesome and with the authentic soundtrack and sounds of guns and lasers; it can really get your adrenaline pumping! I think of this as my T3 and that there’s nothing else. You can tell it was made by people who respect the source material, from the setting to the sounds, and I definitely felt like I was in the movies as I made my way through the missions. I Love this Game with all its good and Bad sites. Yes its Not the triple AAA Produktion. Its kinda ps3/ps4 early days Graphics.the Sound is nice , the Voice acting is ok.     This is a surprisingly good game, although the graphics aren’t the best the game-play and story make up for it. It has Interesting characters and the shooting itself feels great. Every fan of the terminator movies should try this game at least once. Its a amazing Terminator fan service and i hope there will be a sequel.

    The world and franchise originality is pretty good in this game. Original themese are playing, the landscape is what you expect and persons as well as story lines fit in very well. For people who like the Terminator franchise this is a 10/10 in my opinion although there has been many opportunities left by the road.

    The engine is a little bit too old. The whole item management, scattered item picking up etc. reminded very much of Fallout 4 which I would compare the graphics with. They are not bad and for this setup pretty okay, but I really would love to see this on a next-gen engine. The atmosphere is really good. You sneak, scavenge and shoot through loosely coupled levels. They are pretty linear with some space to discover and do side questing. Most of them are very easy and straightforward but okay. The engine has some major issues with frame drops on auto saves but besides that it is running well. I had no blue screens or frame drops besides that. Loading times are very good on my PS4 Pro with SSD.

    The game feature decisions and thus multiple endings. Your choices somewhat matter and the ending will accordingly. Weapons and upgrade system is pretty straight and not very complex but I liked the weapons in general. I big let down is that the levels are very very empty. There is not much to see or discover and the AI is very dumb I have to admit. Achieving missions and can be done by hacking, shooting or sneaking which is nice.

    Overall I am very surprised I had that much fun with this game. The atmosphere is very good, cool and sometimes dense when you sneak thorugh vents and hospitals avoiding T-800s. I would highly suggest to grab this game if you are a fan but do it at a fair discount of 50%+ Going for all trophies and 100% all of the sidequests took me around 12-15hrs I would say.    … Expand

The game does over a lot and the further you get into the game the better it gets. The story which I originally though was weak, you'll fine out that you actions to carry consequences.

    It's just one of those games you don't expect to be good at all but you hope and surprisingly delivers beyond your wildest dreams for a Terminator game.

    Not just good but I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. If you need that Terminator itch scratched, this will do it and then some. Gameplay is solid and story is one of the best terminator storylines to date.

    You can tell the developers were trying and it's actually a decent game. The first half is pretty slow and kinda boring and the voice acting is terrible, but the second half is what a terminater game should be. Loved the weapons and how the damaged terminaters would get up slowly when you thought they were destroyed. The game had amazing music to.

    This game is a love letter to fans of the franchise. It's the third Terminator film people wanted all along and brings the story full circle in a masterful way. My only complaint is that it's too short, but it's a hell of a ride. The best review/video to watch is the one from Civvie 11.

    Ok, maybe the fact that the first Terminator movie is my favourite movie of all time is one of the reasons I enjoyed this game so much.

    But there is still so much to like.. Likeable characters throughout with great engagement and interaction, multiple choice endings dependant on the choices you make throughout the game. And oh the music, is just.. incredible! From the title screen right up until the credits screen, the music is mindblowingly good! The graphics admittedly could be better (this is where it’s plain obvious that this game was made on a small budget) but they’re not the worst in the world, and lighting effects are up there with some of the best I’ve ever seen in a videogame! The moonlight, the fire.. just beautiful!

    It’s a long game too if you want to enjoy and explore, collect everything and complete all of the side missions. There’s always plenty to do and it just never gets boring.

    Probably my favourite parts of the game are the hideout and shelter ‘lobby’ parts. They are so cosy, makes you feel right at home and the nostalgia feels are immense (the shelter is taken straight out of the future flashback scenes in the first Terminator movie)

    The final battle is absolutely epic! Exciting, adrenaline pumping, action packed, drama packed with possibly the best music I’ve ever heard in my life once you’re at the final part.

    I’m getting emotional writing this because of just how good the game is and how disappointed I am with the reviews I’ve read on it.

    I do feel that a lot of care and effort was put in to creating this game. Probably more so than was put into all of the movies after the first two legendary titles.

    I agree that you’d probably have to be a major Teminator fan to fully appreciate this game, but then, who the hell isn’t one?!

    Great game, fully recommend. Buy it, I love it and I doubt you’d be disappointed!

However, as a game, the title itself does respect the continuity of the first two games luckily. You can tell that while the developers were working on an AA budget, they first and foremost wanted to be loyal to the franchise - something we haven’t truly seen since arguably 1991 when Terminator 2 came out. I think they used a lot of the original licensed music as well, and those 1980’s synthesizers really make the tone of the game feel so true to the original two movies.

    The game itself is good. It blends a lot of different ideas together, and while none of them really shine in any way, they are all fine. Regarding the gameplay alone, this game feels like it’s a very well polished game from the Xbox 360 era. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, but it just had a slightly dated glaze to the way it plays. It feels like Fallout 3 without the VATS system. There are some semi-open areas, there are some more narrow missions, there are some fairly intense cat and mouse missions similar to how Alien Isolation plays. It’s not quite a shooter, it’s not quite an RPG, it’s not quite a horror, but it’s very solid and enjoyable. It does feel a little janky at times due to the budget - some graphical glitches, some design glitches, some super rigid animations, the writing is sometimes pretty awkward, the voice acting is not top shelf, but everything I mentioned in the first paragraph makes up for it all.

    To be fair, my view of this game may be slightly biased because I am a huge fan of the franchise. This is a true love letter to the franchise, loaded with easter eggs and references, but the core gameplay and presentation is a bit janky. Still a great effort and enjoyable game. Also while the Infiltrator Mode is far from perfect, it’s actually really fun being able to play as the bad guy. Truthfully it’s closer to a 6/10, but being biased and a huge fan of the franchise, their respect for the first two movies made me knock it in a point.    … Expand

    Segundo: Não espere que este seja um jogo com "gráficos realistas de última geração" pois eles parecem um tanto datados remetendo ao PS3.
    Terceiro: Não sou um grande fan da franquia, então não tenho e nem tive expectativas quanto a jogo algum do Terminator, seja ele de qual console for.
    Porém que o jogo entrega uma experiência muito boa da proposta de uma "Guerra Contra as Máquinas" ao estilo que os primeiros filmes mostram.
    O inicio é um tanto chato e pode enganar, mas o que vem em seguida é um jogo FPS em mundo semi-aberto com elementos de RPG em ambientes urbanos apocalipticos em meio a operações de busca em estilo Furtivo(stealth) e combates massivos contra várias máquinas.

    Não é um dos melhores jogos que já joguei na vida e nem está entre os primeiros, mas este me prendeu a atenção e recomendo a qualquer um que deseje experimenta-lo.    … Expand

    The best game from the universe of the Terminator franchise. Well, graphics are not great but the whole gameplay is fine. Scary missions, great atmosphere. Game is pushing you to think and it is not the another "destroy everything face to face" shootout.. Like it!

    Great game for any Terminator fan. Best made for the franchise to date. If your not a fan of the Terminator movies than it's probably not the game for you.

    Competent shooter, nothing spectacular or genre changing. Some minor rpg elements and a bit of freedom to explore and choose your missions or side missions.

    To summarize, I recommend for fans of the franchise, not so much for anyone else.

    Terminator Resistance is yet another faulty game based on a movie. The fanservice is the best part of the entire game. Next to that, the graphics are bad, the Terminators are not that intelligent or frightening, and the world and missions are not interesting. Which could have been a shooter to remember has turned out to be another bad part in a series of bad iterations.
