Mar 11, 2013If anything, the problem is that ‘timekillers’ happen to be in abundance nowadays – chances are you’re more likely to turn to your cell phone apps before you’ll come back to Kersploosh! after you’ve beaten it. On the other hand, it really is a fun, charming game the first time around, and at $2.99 it’s an easy to justify purchase for someone who wants a refreshing bit of fast fun on their 3DS.
-
Mar 7, 2013With a bit more content and some tweaking, Kersploosh! could have been one of the best games on the 3DS eShop, because as it stands, it's a hard sell for people who like their experiences padded with more content. If you're okay with a short, enjoyable journey to the bottom of a well though, it's more than enough.
-
Mar 9, 2013Splash or Crash is a little, quirky, addictive game. While it can be beaten in half an hour, the real fun begins only when you try to master every well with every "stone". Problem is, not everyone will take this step after beating the game with the unbreakable rubber ball.
-
Mar 10, 2013Objects are controlled with the Circle Pad and the physics doesn't help. Adaptation is achieved only by those who try to enjoy the game at its maximum, playing again and again each stage in pursuit of perfection. To every other person, beating the game takes less than half an hour and is full of frustration. If you are in the first group, Kersploosh! it's worth the small investment.
-
Mar 12, 2013Splash or Crash does exactly what it says on the tin, but it needs a lot more to keep us coming back.
-
Mar 7, 2013That said, Splash or Crash is very much a decent addition to the eShop, and provides enough enjoyment and replay value to be worth its low price.
-
Apr 3, 2013Though its basic game design idea (trying to reach the bottom of a well as fast as possible) may be nice in theory, its execution in Splash or Crash is terminally ill by design. Its prohibitive price for only 10 look-alike levels, the possibility to choose, right from the get-go, an indestructible ball, and the lack of precision of the 3DS stick combined with the absence of a gyro-based control option make it absolutely worthless.
