Mar 11, 2013If anything, the problem is that ‘timekillers’ happen to be in abundance nowadays – chances are you’re more likely to turn to your cell phone apps before you’ll come back to Kersploosh! after you’ve beaten it. On the other hand, it really is a fun, charming game the first time around, and at $2.99 it’s an easy to justify purchase for someone who wants a refreshing bit of fast fun on their 3DS.

Mar 2, 2013Don't let the small number of levels put you off: Splash or Crash is not a game to be played through once and put aside. It's an addictive, well-presented game that's all about honing your abilities with each of the unique objects to score the best times possible. Though we wish its leaderboards extended online as well, Splash or Crash comes well recommended.
-
Mar 7, 2013With a bit more content and some tweaking, Kersploosh! could have been one of the best games on the 3DS eShop, because as it stands, it's a hard sell for people who like their experiences padded with more content. If you're okay with a short, enjoyable journey to the bottom of a well though, it's more than enough.
-
Apr 1, 2013Kersploosh really isn’t that bad of a game, it’s just short and repetitive. The main replayability in this game is just completing the same ten wells over and over using different objects to improve your times. However, for $3 it is a nice game to play in short bursts.
-
Mar 9, 2013Splash or Crash is a little, quirky, addictive game. While it can be beaten in half an hour, the real fun begins only when you try to master every well with every "stone". Problem is, not everyone will take this step after beating the game with the unbreakable rubber ball.
-
Mar 8, 2013Despite itself, Kersploosh! is actually an endearing sort of gaming experience. As pure and unquestioning as you can find anymore. It doesn't aim to change the landscape or steal world record sales figures. It's just a fun little game that you can play in between the 3DS's heavy hitters.
-
Games Master UKMay 9, 2013The core idea is perhaps a bit too basic. [June 2013, p.79]
-
Apr 27, 2013Fun while it lasts, which isn't very long. [May 2013, p.86]
-
May 29, 2013At $2.99, it is a tempting enough proposition for the fun it delivers, but it is ultimately a pass unless you have other likeminded players around you.
-
Mar 10, 2013Objects are controlled with the Circle Pad and the physics doesn't help. Adaptation is achieved only by those who try to enjoy the game at its maximum, playing again and again each stage in pursuit of perfection. To every other person, beating the game takes less than half an hour and is full of frustration. If you are in the first group, Kersploosh! it's worth the small investment.
-
Mar 19, 2013The controls feel good, it looks great, and core concept is both simple to understand and challenging enough to keep you trying again. It just needs some kind of competitive aspect to the high scores so you’re not just competing with yourself.
-
Mar 12, 2013Splash or Crash does exactly what it says on the tin, but it needs a lot more to keep us coming back.
-
Mar 9, 2013A fun game, but really too short.
-
Mar 7, 2013That said, Splash or Crash is very much a decent addition to the eShop, and provides enough enjoyment and replay value to be worth its low price.
-
Apr 16, 2013A fun idea and quite an amusing gameplay but very, very, very short life span!
-
Mar 14, 2013It doesn’t take very long to go through the 10 wells offered, and while some of the optional objects are worth unlocking, they don’t add enough to the core game to make it worth coming back for more without that added incentive of competing against others.
-
Mar 12, 2013A watered-down (no pun intended) stone-tossing experience that isn't even worth its $2.99 price tag.
-
Mar 11, 2013Kersploosh! has some opportunities for fun, but the game is over before its concept gets a chance to shine.
-
Apr 3, 2013Though its basic game design idea (trying to reach the bottom of a well as fast as possible) may be nice in theory, its execution in Splash or Crash is terminally ill by design. Its prohibitive price for only 10 look-alike levels, the possibility to choose, right from the get-go, an indestructible ball, and the lack of precision of the 3DS stick combined with the absence of a gyro-based control option make it absolutely worthless.
