Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Splintered Fate is a pleasant surprise on Nintendo Switch. Some might say that it's simply a copy of Hades, only not as good as usual, but Super Evil Corp has done a good job. It's a nice new entry in the ninja turtles universe, but marry by performance issues and graphics that don't do justice to a console.

Blackwell Deception will appeal to point'n click lovers: the puzzles are solid without being frustrating, the characters duo and story are nice. If you didn't know about the game, don't hesitate to start from the beginning of the series. The only shortcoming: it lacks a good artistic direction and some ambition to give it a real touch.

An honest action game, Spider-Man : Edge of Time demonstrates the ability of Beenox to manage the hero rather well, even though this episode doesn't surpass the previous one. There still a lot to cover before Spidey becomes as much of a videogame must-have as Batman did. It would require better environments, as well as a more ambitious storyline and storytelling with more than simple and usual game mechanics.

LEGO Voyagers is an audacious and contemplative adventure, which has the merit of attempting something that we had not yet encountered in the brand's catalog. The whole thing is sumptuous, beautifully served by graphics that will make animation studios jealous and an OST that perfectly serves the meditative dimension of the title. On the other hand, it lacks that little something engaging to fully transport us into its proposal. What's more, the sense of solidarity is sorely lacking in the co-op aspect, which is essential for a game that cannot be played solo. You can sense Light Brick Studios' desire to please and bring a bubble of serenity, but not everyone will find the fulfillment they are looking for.

Still it feels like a new skin for Assassin's Creed Unity, but it is actually not as good as its elder brother. The game's missions lack originality and variety, the excellent online coop mode just disappeared... This fantastic franchise really needs a boost next time.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD is a good compilation for long-time fans of the saga. Dream Drop Distance looks good on PS4 and, boy, Birth by Sleep 0.2 sure looks gorgeous. However, this prologue lasts only less than three hours, DDD is not the most thrilling game of the saga and X Back Cover is a very poor attempt at making a movie with an hour long badly paced cinematic. Clearly not a compulsory purchase but still entertaining enough for fans.

If you've played de Blob 2 back in 2011, there's no need to play this PS4 port. Even if you liked it back then. Almost no changes have been made to the game and none of its weak points have been improved. de Blob 2 is an average platformer at best. Cool soundtrack though.

Without the existence of Dead Rising 2, Off the Record would have probably be worth a better review score, but the common material with the previous game is a little too much not to think that Capcom simply played its recycling card again. Indeed the game is cheaper than the previous episodes, but it's not enough to justify the pruchase if you already did the second one.

After its triumph on the Nintendo DS, Kawashima is back with new exercices to train not only your brain, but your body as well. Exclusively playable with Kinect, the title is well designed, provides a nice variety of smart mini-games to train reflexes and coordination. There's also a multiplayer mode (up to 4 players, but only 2 at the same time), and provided that you have the room to use it, Kinect responds well. But despite all these qualities, one will still review all there is to see quite quickly. With a lower price, it would have been more in line with the offer.

What matters in short games like Mafia The Old Country are memorable scenes, plot twists, and good ideas. There has to be something that sticks in your memory. In this case, what we'll remember is the unusual setting, some endearing characters, and the last third, which may be a little all over the place, but which shows us that Hanger 13 has resources and knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats with palpable narrative tension that grabs you by the gut and fast-paced gameplay. So why isn't this the case for the whole game? Mafia The Old Country isn't bad, it's good but just too conventional to stand out and will struggle to be remembered, unlike its predecessors. Captain America: Super Soldier shamelessly copies Batman: Arkham Asylum, and even though it doesn't achieve the same excellence, it remains a nice venting beat'em all to dive into before Batman Arkham City arrives in October. You may yet consider waiting a little so as to see its price get a little lower, because it's still not one of those average games that won't leave a mark in history.

Battle Princess Madelyn tries to deliver a new twist to the old Ghosts'n Goblins formula. Unfortunately, its broken level design forbids Causal Games homage to reach the same heights as Arthur's adventure. With no clues on what to do or where to go, even players looking for a tough challenge will only consider the arcade mode worthy of interest, if they want to enjoy the game's gorgeous graphics and art direction.

If Fury Unleashed does not really shine with the charisma of its universe and its artistic direction quite insipid, he offers a good game experience that offers good feelings. A nice release.

V-Rally 4 has some good ideas and a solid base, but it seems that we are always close to something excellent, before being disappointed by a disruptive element, as it will probably remain limited to racing enthusiasts.

For fans of the genre, Joint Assault isn't going very far in any aspect. But its combat remains nice, even though its playability is a little slow at first, since it takes some time for it to become more dynamic. Its production values are average, similar to the previous 2006 PSP episode (Skies of Deception), but its missions clearly lack ambition or surprises, much like its politico-economic fictional backdrop. To sum it up, the flight plan lacks any noticeable turbulence to spice it up, but it's still nice, especially when playing coop or competitive with and against friends.

Played solo or in multiplayer, Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow is a fair little RPG, rich, nicely paced and quite varied. But it doesn't really own these qualities : they are like a patchwork of ideas from other titles like Dragon Quest IX, Monster Hunter, FF XII or Tales of Vesperia, and even though the formula holds its ground in the end, the "already played" vibe is a serious flaw to its identity, that even Toriyama's designs can't seem to make us forget. Still a decent RPG, but not one that will surprise any regular of the genre.

Apart from its frightful visuals and clanky controls, Those Who Remain is a somewhat interesting experience. The protagonist is literally asked to shed the light on its past as he plods through the ominous city of Dormont. Quite short though, the journey of Edward might give some cold sweats to the most fearless players.

Visually stunning, with roughly 12 hours of gameplay, Dust remains quite spectacular, especially knowing it's the work of only two people. But after a charming start, one doesn't take long to witness a gigantic shortcoming: there's no challenge whatsoever and the heroes don't benefit from any sort of evolution over the course of the adventure. The game design thus becomes void, when all you need to do is to press four buttons continuously to finish the game.

If you already both games of this compilation, it's not exactly worth it, as it is mainly Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night in their PSP versions - without the 2.5 version of the first one. But if you've never played those, it's a pleasant, but not very joyful, way to discover them.

Apache : Air Assault is for a niche audience. So if you're not a chopper fan, don't even consider it. If you are, but a little, then Apache will offer you some nice sensations. Too bad its interface is so basic, its staging non-existent, and its solo campaign lacking diversity in the missions, because Apache would have been a real benchmark, with a position to appeal to a larger audience.

Just as the name says, Stick Tennis perfectly sticks to its motto "easy to play, hard to master". Hence the gameplay is cleverly adapted to the touch interface, but its depth is limited by the lack of control over the movement.

GRID: Legends is a good arcade racer, but it doesn't offer enough new stuff from the 2019 GRID game, making it quite a dispensable game. The comeback of drifting is cool, but the story mode is quite lame, and most of the content seems just to have been ported from the 2019 opus.
