Blanc is not one best co-op games on the market, but it's a pleasant adventure which skillfully mixes the story, gameplay and cooperative mechanics. Undoubtedly better than Resident Evil 5, this new episode of one of the greatest series will have trouble uniting people around its proposal. It is indeed very generous in terms of content, of story development, of its variety of sequences, but its still very action-focused atmosphere and clear shortcomings as a TPS make it feel dated and rigid, even though less than RE5. There's some good stuff in there, that's for sure, but also some poor choices as well.- Gameblog.fr

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is not a bad experience, but it will for sure divide the fans. It seems like the studio had several good ideas, but that once assembled they did not make a good Final Fantasy game. This episode tried to convince the players by offering an open world and a certain freedom of action, but it fails in terms of storytelling. And technically, Lightning Returns just doesn't reach the level fans of Final Fantasy expect from the series.- Gameblog.fr

Almost alone on his playing field, Madden NFL 13 can take its time to make progress. Nevertheless, EA switched to the new Infinity Engine for the better, in terms of contacts, animations, and the like, even though visually, the game isn't looking any better than the previous one. The content is there, but there still is some bugs (sometimes funny ones), and it doesn't quite stand up to other sports simulations that may or may not have competition to overcome.- Gameblog.fr

Yes, Alpha Protocol is quite ugly and poorly animated. It also suffers from some gameplay mechanics oddities. But even with its repulsive looks, it managed to hook me in through several play-throughs, thanks to a decent story, carefully written dialog with finesse and humor, and this strong sense of actually influencing the destiny of my character as well as those of the ones around him. The espionage atmosphere, with its conspiracies and modern touch, is well rendered, and if you're a customer for an RPG with a contemporary setting, with a Mass Effect inspired game design, you may very well enjoy it as much as I did. One can't help but dream at what Alpha Protocol could have been, helmed by a team with more resources to address its shortcomings.- Gameblog.fr

The premise of Linn: Path of Orchards is simple: bounce across a series of moving platforms in order to reach the exit. Entirely playable on the Switch touchscreen, the gameplay lacks of precision sometimes and the overall experience seems a bit short as we can rush through the game in just a couple of hours. However, the optional objectives are quite challenging.- Gameblog.fr

Plagued by small but numerous issues, Enslaved still has a lot to offer... but maybe not for the full price of a new game. If you let yourself be charmed by its lush world and its well portrayed characters, you may tolerate its flaws in order to follow its narrative, and the various sequences. They are mostly enjoyable despite some loose gameplay mechanics. But for others, the frame rate issues, the terrible ending, and the lack of polish will obfuscate the qualities of the game. Once again, it seems Ninja Theory focused too much on the form and less on the substance.- Gameblog.fr

With Undounded, Ridge Racer gets closer to games like Burnout, Blur, or Split Second. It's more accessible, and more aggressive, with a very nice tracks editor and nice multiplayer. Very disappointing in single player, Blur reveals its charm in multiplayer. Playing with friends, striking at each other, and going all-out on them is where the fun's at ! It can prove to be strategic, despite its arcade-style driving style, thanks to the Power Up tactical side that can change the outcome of any race dramatically. So to sum it up, Blur is a very good game in multiplayer, ideal for competition behind the wheel of realistic rides with added power-up benefits, but be warned: in solo play, boredom prevails.- Gameblog.fr

Technically outdated on a aging Wii console, The Last Story ends up being quite linear... and too short. Online games and the New Game + feature won't really make up for it, despite the artificial extension of its life span. Hopefully, the voice acting is good, and combat is quite satisfying. And there's always this Sakaguchi's touch... which is always nice to have... The last game of the genre on the Wii?- Gameblog.fr

If you like the humor and you're cherish all these characters, you could have an enjoyable moment alone, or with friends. Playing this game in co-op eliminates this feeling of artificial difficulty. Farming Simulator 2019 (just like its previous edition for that matter) has a base that allows it to be serene for future developments. Unfortunately, these developments are likely to be the result of a very active community, rather than the developer itself to overcome the lack of user-friendliness of its interface and the accompaniment of the player. Very complete on certain things (machines and activities proposed), it is failing on many aspects in its form. However, there is a real pleasure to act as a farmer, who would have been even greater with explanations and a real "story" to follow. Management games have been around for a long time when it comes to developing and managing a city, why not take inspiration from it here too?- Gameblog.fr

El Shaddai is a game that seduces with its looks, atmosphere and little ideas rather than its gameplay. This beat'em all is far from a Bayonetta or a God of War for sure, but it mesmerizes nonetheless with its hallucinated and daring visuals, its soundtrack and its very personal way - to say the least - of interpreting a religious text. No, War of the North is not the blockbuster expected by the most enthusiastic of the fans. If it wasn't supported by such a strong license, it would even stay under the radar. But here we are : the fact that it remains so true to Tolkien's world and references it so well, with some true epic moments (the combat against a giant, the journey mounted on an eagle, the encounter with a dragon...) just saves it. Despite the numerous bugs and an energic but average combat system, it works : one always wants to make progress, and discover more. Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection pays tribute to the franchise's earlier games. Fans will find some of their favorite characters and maps. What's more, they'll have the pleasure of discovering some titles for the first time in Europe. However, the interest is quickly limited by the redundancy of the games on offer and a definite lack of polish, particularly in terms of languages and texts. The most fervent fans will no doubt not be bothered to play through everything, but the others are likely to skip most of the games and enjoy only 2 or 3, if they have the courage to look for the one that suits them best. All in all, let's hope the publisher doesn't stop with this compilation. Islands of Wakfu, for a first game of Ankama Play, doesn't lack generosity, nor qualities. Its richness encompasses several gameplay mechanics, a lot of old school 2D games references, fresh ideas, and high production values with superb 2D visuals. Sadly, its gameplay is also far to rough on the edges, and more importantly hurt by a difficulty level that is poorly balanced. Legend of Mana is still a good '90s game, but it clearly needed more reflection to match today's standards.- Gameblog.fr

If this new GoldenEye will not replace the original in the heart of the players, if it is unlikely to be remembered in ten years, this new adventure of 007 still performs brilliantly. The graphics are quite good, the staging is dynamic and offers some nice moments of adrenaline, the multiplayer modes are fun... without reaching the excitement we get the original in 1997, of course, a matter of historical context. Anyway that's solid shooter we have here, and that's good news for the Wii!- Gameblog.fr

It's always a nice feeling to wander across the vast plains and the ominous dungeons of Gransys during a large amount of hours, for the first time on a portable device here. Sadly, the low visuals and the technical issues of the handheld mode are kind of a bummer, the TV experience being as enjoyable as the previous editions of the game.- Gameblog.fr

Joe Danger is far from being a bad game, especially considering its tiny price. But one can't help but being frustrated by the lack of variety the gameplay offers. Its the perfect title for a quick unwinding, but nothing that can compare to a Mario Kart marathon with friends, nor the puzzling stunts of a Trials HD.- Gameblog.fr

To glide from sunup to sundown. Here's the simple, but attractive pitch of Tiny Wings, rising star of the App Store who kicked off Angry Birds from the number one slot of the charts. Its principle is ridiculously simple: press the screen, and your bird will gain momentum. As soon as you let go, it glides. But you'll have to time your presses well with the random hills of the backgrounds in order to go as fast and as far as you can, and to score as much points as possible. But even though those hills are never the same thanks to their randomized generation, it's still becoming repetitive sooner or later; which is the main shortcoming of the game. With some added features, play modes and ideas, it could have been far more magical.- Gameblog.fr

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a charming game, with fantastic pixel art but a too simplisitc and weak Metroidvania, as it doesn't have much to offer to adventurers and feels too much of a very linear rip-off of Castlevania Symphony of the Night that lacks depth and true epic feel.- Gameblog.fr

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is the first Oculus game to arrive on PlayStation VR. Divided into 3 episodes of approximately 45 minutes each, it offers an original story located between episodes 4 and 6 of the saga, in the presence of the Sith Lord Dark Vader on the planet Mustafar. On PS4 Pro, the experience displays very nice graphics, of course before the Oculus Rift version but quite similar to that of the Quest. Unfortunately, the teleportation and the angular rotation imposed in an unfair way, also spoil the immersion and some sequences in automatic movement allow to appreciate the environments at their true value. The proximity of the various characters is however pleasant; a handful of force fights are memorable but it all ends far too quickly. A scripted experience that will certainly appeal to die-hard fans of the Star Wars saga, but less so to others as many PS VR games have done much better before it.- Gameblog.fr

Call of Cthulhu is an ode to Lovecraft and fantastic literature, a success in terms of atmosphere with a pleasant artistic part. Sadly, the game is too weak technically speaking. The main quest is interesting but players in search of an RPG with a bit of freedom will probably realize too soon that the game is actually a very linear experience.- Gameblog.fr

On four multiplayer maps, we count a remake from Modern Warfare 2 (still an excellent playground though) and a very boring one. Hopefully, the two others are pretty nice and do the job. The Exo Zombies mission lacks of appeal here, mainly because of its layout and general design. A little bit too light.- Gameblog.fr

On paper, Code Vein 2 takes what made the first game unique and expands upon the formula in an Elden Ring-style open world to tell a brand new, ambitious story about time travel to save the world. However, the reality is far less appealing, from the dated graphics and clunky technical aspects to the frustratingly sluggish combat. If you truly loved its predecessor, you might be able to overlook its significant flaws and play for dozens of hours. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to wait for at least performance patches, or even a price reduction.- Gameblog.fr

New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers doesn't venture into uncharted lands from the construction and simulation game territory, yet it's a pastoral, simple and efficient introduction to the genre, although such lack of ambition shows limitations sooner rather than later, whether because of the repetitiveness or the absence of multiplayer.- Gameblog.fr

If the pop, British and psychedelic universe, inspired by Brazil, Nineteen Eighty-Four and Brave New World, proposed by Compulsion Games is surprising and offers a very immersive story, the mechanics of survival games and crafting ruin the plot of the game, giving an unpleasant feeling of a mutant game, too dispersed for its own sake and suffering from many technical problems.- Gameblog.fr

Who could be interested in Super Lucky's Tale? Without its VR feature, Playful's last game seem to just be. Experienced players will not find anything worth the time in this basic platformer which cannot properly imitate any mechanics of the genre. And with its irritating controls, it clearly is not suited for children. Too bad, because its colorful levels had some good ideas here and there.- Gameblog.fr

Just Cause 4 is more or less of the same. It's still good to play Rico and use its usual stuff, but it lacks strong new features, and with its redundant secondary quests system, its dated visuals and all the bugs, it just feels like a average game.- Gameblog.fr

Demon Slayer: The Hikonami Chronicles is a bit lacking where it had everything to succeed: with a faithful representation of the characters of the anime, it does not go further, with an empty environment, dated textures and a technique that smacks of old, even on next-gen consoles, not to mention a cruel and glaring lack of variety in the action. But he has for him a model more than faithful to the anime and a combat system as simple as it is effective, which will appeal to the greatest number, despite a weak roster and great confusion in the action when several people are fighting at the same time. A game of average quality after all, for fans and for those who want to easily take their eyes off between combos.- Gameblog.fr

Zeno Clash II is really a twin brother to the first one: same peculiar art direction, same slightly below average production values, same gameplay ideas. Its unique world remains its strongest asset, by far, but its bugs and gameplay shortcomings will quickly get on the nerves of those who aren't mesmerized by its universe.- Gameblog.fr

This new DLC that takes us to Mars has a Hurk. It's cool if you like this talkative and dumb character, science fiction and jetpacks. However, it's not enough to have good fun on a shallow map full of generic quests and Ubitowers we thought disappeared with Far Cry 5.- Gameblog.fr
