Let It Die is of exceedingly high quality for a free-to-play title; it’s dozens of GB in download size and looks and feels every bit an example of a higher-end game from Japan. It’s also far too reasonable on the microtransactions and asking players for money. It’s possible to speed up progress through the game by paying real money, or preserve a favoured character that's just perished but the incentives for doing that are low, particularly when anyone who is inclined to enjoy a roguelike is not going to have any issues with a grind, or re-starting games from scratch after a character dies.

This isn’t slick, soulless and focus-tested into insensibility. Let It Die is rough and engaging on a primal level, and intensely refreshing as a result. It’s also a shining example of a free-to-play title that doesn’t make lecherous moves on anyone’s wallet every five minutes. This game is less about paying to win, and more about playing to win.

Let It Die is a pretty crazy action RPG that can take a lot of your time. The game is free to play, but does not make you pay every five seconds, which is great.

You're going to be overwhelmed when you start playing, but once you learn the basic you'll discover one of the best f2p for consoles. It isn't easy, but take your time and explore Let It Die. Worst case scenario, you'll just delete it from your HDD.

There's nothing out there quite like Let It Die. This action game offers Souls-like combat, 40 floors to tackle, multiple paths to tackle, and a host of gear to make your own oddball fighter. The free-to-play mechanics are reasonable until you get to higher levels, where a death spiral may leave you looking for your credit card. It's not perfect, but Let It Die is damned fun.

Let It Die is an ambitious game that threatens to charm players, but ultimately falls short due to unpolished gameplay, repetitious level design, and some really awful freemium schemes.

Let it Die could have been a good free-to-play Dark souls-like, but its pay-to-win nature will disgust you after a few hours, when the difficulty really goes up.

My hope rose a bit with the developer updates prior to release, the aesthetics suggested a good old suda game, it wasn't enough but at least a good start . . .
After playing 6 hours with the game I can say it without doubt in my heart that it IS a true suda game and it contains all the humor a random moments you would expect from him and his studio.

Now about the game a bit, far what it is(ft2) it looks great, and has a solid combat system, not the best, but it is presentable and souls fan will be right at home with this one I believe. The story mode that we got seems to be a pretty long run, I'm looking forward to climbing that tower.

I see no reason why should anyone hesitate downloading the game, but I have to admit, if you did not like Grasshoppers' previous titles you'll probably hate this one too. To a fan of this studio it was a nice present, and I appreciate it for what it is, the lack of a platinum trophy IS a bummer though.

InsertIf you've played a lot of dungeon-crawler games, and I mean a LOT. Like every other game from the 80's and 90's was a dungeon crawler. Insert weaponized character into a world where he/she has to hack and slash through a tunnel-world of baddies out to kill you, after you upgrade from your fists of course. Eat things to gain life, level up weapons and your character, defeat bosses and move to the next level. Grind your way through tunnel rats, zombies, mazes, tricky platforms to get coins and experience and you have another dungeon crawler. What sets this game apart is that the grinding doesn't feel like a grind. There is never that moment where you get tired of the old "oh great I have to go through this same level yet again to kill another 100 tunnel rats (I say tunnel rats as a cliche dungeon crawler thing). This game is fair as far as free-to-play games. There is no trick to get you started where you eventually have to pay up or wait. It's all about your skill and planning. It seems that paying in this game will leave you actually worse off than not because you end up progressing too fast. There is a lot to do before leveling up to the next tiers and defeating the next boss. It's a game of slow-progression and preparation that takes time and planning. There are no tricks or traps that kill you instantly and ask if you want to pay to proceed. It's not a game ender to die either, mistakes made in this game are entirely your fault and you do pay a price, but it doesn't need to be real money. Expand

Но вообще, после Killer is Dead, хочется верить, что это Suda 51 собирает бюджет для No More Heroes 3 (выход сомнительного Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes подтверждает теорию). Expand

    Beware that bad game design!

I liked this game, I really did. I made it almost all the way to the end, but a combination of poor game design and bugs really undermined the whole thing.

The game treats any game stoppage outside of the lobby as a death. Any stoppage. That includes their own bugs. I have a reoccurring bug where the game crashes constantly on the same boss, same time. An actual game breaking bug.

This boss is required to grind to get weapons strong enough to move on, now that's impossible. Worst still is the 3 hours it takes to bring that character back after the crash kills it.

Contacted customer service and their attitude is that its a death. Nothing they can do. So I can't finish the game and my time feels wasted.

There are some good ideas here, but treating everything as a death including their own game flaws is a little much for me.

It’s basically an app game that could easily be found on your phone. It is PAY 2 WIN... Graphics are horrendous. It’s the same graphics used in Borderlands however toned down. The levels are ALL the same aesthetic, you get quite bored around floor 24 and up because you’re constantly repeating the same thing.
Progression in this game doesn’t exist in the normal manner... And so here’s why these types of games should be illegal and have no idea why Sony would let this garbage be apart of the line up.
Theres an elevator you take unlocked every floor however to head back down you have to pay a fee. The higher the floors you’re progressing the more expensive it is to skip floors or head back down. However join there monthly club and theres a special elevator you can take for free.
When you die you have the option of using a metal skull (real money currency) to revive you or pay a hefty fee to ressurect. The higher your player level the more expensive it is to ressurect your character.
The gold and Splith you make can be stolen by other players in the same rating as you. For example say you leave your hub (waiting room) to complete a quest... Theres quite a chance your waiting room was attacked. So that gold you saved up is gone... You can’t get it back unless you raid the persons waiting room. Which is unlikely because people who raid have their room defended quite well.
There are decals, (stickers) you place on your character... You can spend 10 metals to get a random (gambling) or 50000 gold to get one randomly as well. The chances of you having 50000 gold is pretty much non existence since people will raid you if you have that or more saved up. The more people you raid the higher your rating and guess what you’re faced with people of your raiding so theres not raiding lower level people. So you’re facing off with 10 of a persons characters to reach their gold in the time limit of 2 minutes.
Gear is pointless becuase every set of gear is weak against a certain stat... People don’t understand the negative percentages are multiplicative. So you could be geared really well but you can be weak to a certain type of damage... So if a hater is sent to invade your world and their equipped with something your gear is weak against it literally takes one or 3 hits to take you down.
People swear its about skill, it really isn’t its about resources. Theres only one useful character in the game call the “collector,” becuase it can carry 33 slots worth of items unlike the other characters. Every thing I mean everything takes one slot NOTHING STACKS... You get 11 slots to scale 40 floors? Think abou it people... You’re constantly going up and down the elevator to store your items in a bank that also has little slots. Want more slots in your bank you have to pay...
Nothing in this game is free... NOTHING.
In the beginning the game has it charms with it’s audio but as soon as you realize your gold is emptying as fast as you can fill it you will realize you have no choice but to wait in hopes developers send something free your way.
The quests are pointless because they are ridiculous grind... Nothing in this game is worth your time... NOTHING.
The people mostly playing this game are the ones that can’t afford a decent 60$ game yet they spend their money on this crap... LOL. You’ve been warned...
