Sold at quite a reasonable price, Sorcery is a very nice little game for kids, with nice music melodies, pretty environments, and fun gameplay mechanics. The PS Move still remains somewhat imprecise sometimes (even though the game does most of the targetting for you), but the most important shortcoming of the game is probably its lack of variety.

DBZ Tenkaichi Tag Team won't surprise anyone, but it has mastered its subject nonetheless. With a lighter but comprehensive Story Mode, punchy combat, and its news 4 player combat mode, it's a game perfectly suited for the PSP. However, it's still undergoing the fact that the franchise is running a little out of breath, given that it has spawned so very many games before it.

Homefront is a classic first-person shooter, of which you could say it's efficient. But its looks seem old, it lacks ambition for its solo, and its multiplayer is scrawny, barely offering the minimum. It's a shame, because its story remains good, but a good game isn't a great game, and it's not like there's no great FPS out there.

Syndicate offers a multi-tasking challenge that will appeal to shooting games aficionados, with brutal and overwhelming ennemies to dispatch both with skills and brains, but its poor story and average level-design have a tendency to nullify its better qualities. It's pretty, dynamic and even nicely polished in some regards, but fails to fully capture interest and immerse the player in its cyberpunk world.

Dragon Age II is blessed with a deep universe and a ton of content, but it's sadly undermined by its technical side. Even though, visually, the game goes beyond the original, it still forgoes some elements of its predecessor in order to become more action-oriented, which is a choice that will most probably keep dividing opinions. We'd have hoped to see this sequel install the franchise as a must-have by correcting the shortcomings of the original. Instead, we'll have to make-do with finding it most entertaining indeed, but without any added praise. Too bad.

Dreamlike and original, Light Fall misses its point by being unsteady form start to finish. If the nice Shadow Core mechanics might charm you during the first moments of the game, its level design and very short adventure will not last long in the mind of every platformer addict. However, speedrunners might like the dedicated mode, which works nicely for those interested by emergent gameplay.

Here it is at last, the first Castlevania Lords of Shadows DLC ! Is it as good as it was expected ? Well, yes and no. "Yes", because it adds one new chapter to a game we loved, because it does so with classy comic book style cinematics, by offering us some very nice moments playing Laura, with her vampire special abilities and her mastery of thunder, and by giving us new puzzle to chew on, new action sequences to experience, new backgrounds... it even goes as far as to give us a little something more out of the story, shining a little more light on the ending of Lords of Shadow. But "no", because it remains super short with only 3 levels to clear, which are not that surprising, and very quick to complete (maybe an hour). So we're left hanging, with a very frustrating "to be continued". So, for 800 MP, we'd have hoped for more content, or more intensity.

Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 3 is the least interesting episode of the bunch so far. Dead Island 2 is a pleasant game, but far from being memorable. It is as often fun as it is boring. The average quests don't fully engage us and the game fails to make us want to explore. Dragon Quest Treasures could have been a Switch's little gem, but it will remain in the shadow of its elder brother. With its efficient collecting, taming and crafting mechanics, the spin-off could get any gamer hooked. The exploration is generous, engaging, but the annoying back and forth, the lack of fast travel, the laughably poor combat system and the shaky technique will get the better of the most patient. Puzzle Quest 2 changes a lot of things from the original. Sadly, despite some brilliant ideas introducing variety in the gameplay, and a basic gameplay mechanic that's as addictive as ever, the overall lack of narration and story consistency make it, albeit more intimate, harder to dive in for prolonged sessions. The new, closer-to-the-hero perspective may be more RPG-like, but the conquest aspect of the original was a motivation that's a truly a regrettable loss with this new formula. Still, as a game to be played in short sessions, it remains very efficient.

Would it have made more sense to truly re-make each episode to have them on par with other PS3 productions? The question remains. That being said, the transition to HD and 3D and the addition of the dodge mechanic on the right analog stick will be enough for the fans, or those who didn't have the opportunity to play the PSP originals. If you're among those who actually did, you can ignore this release. DOFUS : Battles is a kind of evolved Plants vs Zombies-like, perfectly designed for the iOS platforms. The characters that will have to contain the waves of enemies and prevent them from reaching the far back of the grid can gain levels and be equipped, in the regular RPG style. Legend of Dungeon is a nice, hard, random and funny "rogue-like". It may be less innovative than games like Rogue Legacy, but it is still cheap and offers a nice local multiplayer mode for four players.

Orcs Must Die! is nice blend of strategic Tower Defense and venting hack'n slash, as odd as it may sound. Aside from a few shortcomings, its production's spot on and Robot Entertainment even managed to stick a nice story on top of it. But the main issue overshadowing the fame is the lack of challenge in the campaign. A little patch with a harder difficulty mode would be nice. And add a coop mode while you're at it, please.

Maybe the least interesting episode so far. Even if it's well written, pleasant to "play" and if it proposes some cool moments, it's hard to admit that the whole story is progressing. Some situations are a bit frustrating and it feels like a transition episode, stagnating and preparing what is coming next.

This new section of the solo campaign is very classic but interesting when you are a Star Wars fan. For the others, it may be clearly dispensable. AI is totally stupid (especially on Vardos) and the planet have too many "corridors". Fortunately, the beautiful environments of the Stellar Destroyer can compensate Vardos's problems. Fortunately, it's totally free.

Daedalus No Escape is a nice little game to play multiplayer, with feelings that remind the shooters in arena as Quake 3. However, the camera sometimes produces nausea and the whole game is not very diverse.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy collection reminds us that the series did not shine at its brightest trying to move from action to story-based fiction. The six different games are still okay, but their original mechanics could have been tweaked a little to match the new video game standards.

The Outer Worlds on Switch is a good way to play this game despite its infamous graphics.

Despites a table multiplayer mode, the graphics of this Switch version nare neither convincing neither on TV nor on portable mode. If you have a PS4 or a Xbox, you know what to do.

Black Knight Sword world is unique, aesthetically, and that's an accomplishment in itself. Unfortunately, the gameplay isn't as mesmerizing as the visuals ; it's but a poor restitution of old mechanics from 8 and 16bit platformers, without the level design genius of those times.

Considering the killing games to come by the end of the year, only fans of Ace Combat and nostalgics of Afterburner will be inclined to invest their hard earned few pence in HAWX 2, and they will probably be very happy with it!

Without being a bad game, Cobalt disappoints because of its solo mode. The strength of the title strictly rests in its multiplayer modes that will seduce the gamers who like the competition and the strategy.

The Ball feels a little like Portal: a simple concept for a short title. But sadly, a too easy one. One passes through the game without really wondering about anything... but it's still a nice journey that Teotl offers us.

With Ravaged, Dawn Games wanted to "bring back the fun", but I never really thought it was gone very far. The game has a very straightforward gameplay and a nice atmosphere, but not much else on an over-crowded market. It's also still very buggy. But the low amount of players online is what troubles the most for the longevity of Ravaged.
