    Story, voice work, and animations are all still goofy, but throw in co-op multiplayer, better endgame content, and more reasons to replay it, and State of Decay 2 is the type of game with which certain players will fall in love. There's always something to do and in a classically sim style, it's hard to know when to stop. It's the most realistic zombie apocalypse simulation in the world and that's a beautiful thing.

    Too bad for a technical section that is at times really problematic, which fortunately cannot tarnish the excellent qualities of this sequel: a title that fans should play without hesitation.

    State of Decay 2 is the classic "more of the same" sequel which, however, thanks to some interesting innovations and a deep game formula, does not disappoint.

    State of Decay 2 is a nice game and it looks good, but it has a considerable amount of errors that take away much of its brightness. It is nice that the events that happen within your game are a consequence of the actions of each player, given that feeling that each of their actions is unrepeatable. Spending most of the game looking for resources in coolers, kitchens, farms and other places, is annoying and saps much of the fun that can be as the game becomes a slow and repetitive activity.

    State of Decay 2 is an interesting "post zombie apocalypse life simulator" that forces the player to manage every aspect of a survivor's life. It's too bad that its story isn't very interesting. And what to say about those bugs: there are just so many of them... With better production values, State of Decay could have been a truly special game.

    I was about to launch into another broken situation here, but I’m sure you get the point. The point is this: although there’s a very competent core loop and entertaining resource management sim somewhere within State of Decay 2, it’s really, really, broken. Unacceptably so. It frustrated me mightily to see a flash of a game I wanted to play, only to be immediately reminded that it’s not ready for release.

I had to start a new community after 4 or 5 hours and I'm doing much better this time around. Definitely a game worth checking out.

    I've had a few missions glitch to where I couldn't complete them but it's nothing game breaking. Co-op is available if you need help with a tough mission. Just play the game! It's fun!    … Expand

Yeah, it's bugged, yeah, it's not aEnjoyable and goofy in same time - these two words say more than anything other about State of Decay 2. Yeah, it's bugged, yeah, it's not a triple A title. But you know what this game does better than zombie-survival games? Entertain. There are only few games about zombies that you actually enjoys most of the time, and State is one of them, but i can fully understand people who have bounced off and put 4/10 rating, this title is not for everyone.… Expand

The graphics are better than the first. Is it a graphics showcase? Of course not, but its better. Building a community is a challenge with regular citizens each with personality traits and strengths and weaknesses. Someone may be a great gardiner making growing food easier but they may be difficult to get along with making the community morale suffer. Choices like banishing this person could be tough as they may come back in a hostile group of survivors for revenge.
    Blood plague is new and adds sickness to anyone bitten by a red eyed Zombie. Needing medical staff, chemicals, plague samples to craft a cure. But the cure isn't a dime a dozen so its a tough choice when used. If you enjoyed the first State of Decay you will enjoy the second.
    But the co op, the single most asked for thing for a sequel is a broken mess. Normally I wont ding a game for MP being bad this hard but this was THE thing in terms of sales points for SoD2 and its a big FAIL. There is simply no excuse for releasing any game this broken in terms of MP when MP is the selling point over its predecessor. So in my opinion and personal experience 20 hours in, the game in SP is fine. But the co op that my buddies and I couldn't wait for is a slap in the face to fans.    … Expand

    Poor graphics, no physics... a lot of map glitches, worst aim system i ever seen (doesn't matter what weapon you choose) Looks like a mobile game.
