Playing Company of Heroes 3 on PS5 means accepting to play either a poorly optimized PS4 game (resolution mode) or a fat PS4 game at the end of its life (performance mode). Yes, technically, it's a real wreck. It's naughty or simply awful depending on the mode chosen. That being said, the game is still very playable and ultimately well optimized for the controller. We simply regret the lack of precision and responsiveness in the absence of a shortcut. But the work of the developers is there. The interface has been partially revised and it's pretty well done. It's up to you now if you're ready to sacrifice the visual aspect in the name of the altar of the strategy game, a genre underrepresented on home consoles. For the rest, Company of Heroes 3 remains the same game as on PC. An honest, but naughty strategy game.- Gameblog.fr

Scrap Riders attempts a surprising mix of point & click and beat'em all and it works. The puzzles are rather pleasant and the action phases are mastered and very dynamic. The problem is that the game is also extremely talkative, doesn't tell much and makes heavy and/or embarrassing jokes (you either like it or you don't), when it doesn't stick references under our noses as if we weren't able to notice them. As a bonus, the pixel art often hinders readability in exploration and combat. As a result, the experience is clearly not as exciting as hoped and the good ideas are stifled by a general lack of finesse.- Gameblog.fr

Crysis 3's campaign disappoints; its story isn't compelling, the storytelling itself doesn't help it, the level design remains an ordinary one, the difficulty is not well-balanced, and overall, there's no real risk taken creatively at any point in it. It's a game of appearances without substance; visually strong, but that's it. The multiplayer kind of saves the deal, most notably thanks to the Hunter mode.- Gameblog.fr

Under its good looks as a true Game Boy hommage, Save me Mr Tako only delivers the bare minimum: its uninspired level design sometimes try to hide a story which you should not give too much attention to. Before it unwillingly became a fantastic rant against always-online DRM, and forced social cooperation, SimCity was supposed to be the shining new star of the city builders genre. Instead, Maxis and EA delivered a very pretty screen saver one can build as he likes. Miniaturized both in terms of zones to play with and gameplay mechanics, this SimCity is really fun for 10 hours, the time you need to build a full city and watch it like the pretty ant farm it is, before you simply abandon it before the very eyes of other players who were relying on its resources. It may still remain fun when played privately among friends with a decent strategy, which they need to polish even before laying their first piece of concrete on the ground, but in the end, we'd wager the game itself will be forgotten in a year's time. Its disastrous launch and unreliable servers? Maybe less so.- Gameblog.fr

Rugby 20 promised great technical improvements, the addition of new tactical options and a good batch of official licenses. A game plan respected by Eko Software whose limited means do not allow this title to compete with the best sports simulations. But given that he remains the ONLY one to fight on the field, and that he stands rather well on his legs with his farandole of diagrams and his accessible gameplay, he could satisfy lovers of the oval ball. If you liked Dead Island, then you are sure to love Riptide: it's the same! All the elements are back: the survivors of the first game (plus a new one), the tropical atmosphere, the gameplay (more melee-oriented)... but also this problem of redundancy that you'll feel very quickly after a few battles and missions. If the sympathetic capital of the creatures of Concrete Genie is undeniable, for all the rest, the title developed by the Californian studio Pixelopus barely shines beyond its singular artistic direction. Do not tell me that true fans of DC Comics would get their money's worth with Injustice. And fighting game lovers either. Love does not mean accepting everything, and we can't be enthusiasts about the pitiful appearance that the Mortal Kombat studio gave to Superman, Wonder Woman and their pals. Yes, the gameplay basics from MK and the being-a-superhero feeling remains cool, as do the destructible stages, but the script and the presentation of the story mode, the stiffness of the animations and the poor art design do not allow Injustice to be mentioned within the good-fighting-games list of this generation.- Gameblog.fr

If Gorn was released on PlayStation VR 3 years ago, it could have been considered a good game. But water has flowed under the bridge, the PSVR now has a catalog of solid games and Gorn looks very pale next to others. A fun concept doesn't make a big game.- Gameblog.fr

The right ingredients, a known recipe, but the cooked result doesn't work. It's slow paced, and one must rely on the community remaking the Mario Kart circuits to start enjoying himself... but still not that much.- Gameblog.fr

It’s hard to hide our disappointment with Aphelion, which stands as the very definition of an average game. While there’s nothing fundamentally bad or failed about Don’t Nod’s title, there’s still plenty of room for improvement on many levels, which inevitably leaves us with a bitter aftertaste once the adventure is over. We’re left with the feeling that we’ve missed out on what could have been a great adventure, one whose good ideas, though present, weren’t properly developed by the studio.- Gameblog.fr

The Legacy of the First Blade's last part delivers a clumsy conclusion to the Assassin's Creed Odyssey journey, by recycling the same missions and mechanics once more, only to lead its story to the end and satisfy some fans of the saga. With a single naval battle, a kind of cheated new ability and a bland last boss, this third DLC runs short on idea, and do not reach the quality of Assassin's Creed Odyssey main story.- Gameblog.fr

Developed as a tribute of the arcade classic Smash TV, Galaxy Champions TV is quite enjoyable during the first hours. Unfortunately, the lack of variety really impregnates the game, resulting in the player to look away eventually.- Gameblog.fr

Nice at first glance, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing suffers from some really annoying shortcomings that demote it from "nice" to "average".- Gameblog.fr

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 reminds us why the Blue Bomber fell in the nineties. With only four titles included, the compilation runs short, especially when compared to the first one. Only hardcore fans will enjoy its many bonuses and challenges.- Gameblog.fr

On the Wii, Inazuma Eleven shows a somewhat-dull gameplay, a clear lack of content, isn't deep enough, and overall, it's a disappointing adaptation of the the DS games, lacking in terms of ideas. The result is too average.- Gameblog.fr
