Injustice: Gods Among us stands head and shoulders above any other fighting game on the market – it is without flaw.

Injustice: Gods Among Us does a lot of things right. From a fantastic storyline, to a plethora of content, but minor balance and online bugs stop it from being the best it can be. Regardless, Injustice offers just about anything from the hardcore fighter to the beginner.

It's exactly the kind of glorious fight you expect from the DC Universe's mightiest, and Injustice: Gods Among Us makes it almost as fun and rewarding to watch as it is to play.
  4. As much as the studio has plugged the cinematic nature of the game’s storytelling, I can’t help but feel the story devolves into some groan-worthy comic book tropes. But it’s not enough to diminish the overall enjoyment of the game...Injustice: Gods Among Us will appeal to both those who grew up reading Batman or playing Mortal Kombat.

There's plenty to love about Injustice: Gods Among Us, especially if you are a comic book fan. The game combines a compelling story with polished fighting mechanics and some genuine innovation.

Not as memorable as the Mortal Kombat reboot, but still a worthy successor. A great story complemented by a well-balanced cast of fighters and numerous interesting features - among which highly interactive environments and spectacular special moves - makes the game. Unfortunately, weak cutscenes, some boring minigames and the lack of a tag team mode keeps the game from receiving a higher score.

Do not tell me that true fans of DC Comics would get their money's worth with Injustice. And fighting game lovers either. Love does not mean accepting everything, and we can't be enthusiasts about the pitiful appearance that the Mortal Kombat studio gave to Superman, Wonder Woman and their pals. Yes, the gameplay basics from MK and the being-a-superhero feeling remains cool, as do the destructible stages, but the script and the presentation of the story mode, the stiffness of the animations and the poor art design do not allow Injustice to be mentioned within the good-fighting-games list of this generation.

rent from all the other fighting games on the market with something as simple as using the arena as your weapon. Theres a ton of singleplayer content and the online has been greatly improved since mk with no charecters standing out as over powered.Gameplay is over the top and a lot of fun the only complaint I have is the clash system but its not a major thing

It's just unbelievable how mild the reviews were for this game. The gameplay feels great, visuals and sounds are just amazing and the storyline, following the Justice League Doom movie is awesome. You see, in just a couple of lines I have used about 4 adjectives for it. Let me put it plain and simple; if you like Mortal Kombat, you'll love this. Expand

I bought it just so I could play as my favorite DC characters, and the game manages to deliver their might and personalities beautifully. I wasn't expecting much of a story (lets face it, stand-and-fight games aren't known for their award winning stories), however Injustice tries to break this cycle by telling a pretty entertaining story that also explains why everyone is fighting each other— cudos to the developer for even including a story. This is a great game that any DC fan should pick up. Expand

But this is a damn fun game... the story while a little hard to swallow even for a comic book tale, still managed to be more involving than standard fighting fare. The DC roster is represented very well and each characters moves and combos fit in well with their specific traits. Super fun to see alot of fan boy fights between heroes and villains come to fruition. A very solid game and im super glad i decided to pick it up. Comes highly recommended Expand

Where do I start with Injustice? The addictive gameplay? The great and growing roster? Or the good (not amazing though) story?

Well I have to say I have spent a lot of time on Injustice and the fighting is fast, fluid and very addictive. These heroes and villain going at it is a thing of beauty. I guess I shouldn't expect less from the Kreators (yes i meant to spell it with a "K") of Mortal Kombat. You want to see Batman grab his enemies with his famous grapple gun? Got it. You want to have Superman punch his enemies into orbit and then pummel them back to Earth? It's here. Injustice boasts a satisfying roster with a lot of famous faces and from what I hear, they just keep adding up. The sweet super moves are a welcome addition by the way.

The story is good, it really feels like I wasn't just watching cutscenes but it's like reading a comic but I felt like the writers had the potential to do better. It was decent and fun but I don't see myself playing through it a second time.

To conclude, Injustice a dynamic and addictive fighter which has the potential to compete with the best fighting games out there. If ever this game receives a sequel, I suggest they take the stuff that made this one successful and add to it. For example, have them do more than just one super move like what Super Street Fighter 4 did. Also, add a tag mode. That would add some spice to it. Great job Nether Realms and DC. Thumbs up.
