Handball 17 is an improvement of its previous installment in many ways, but still has a long way to go in order to be considered a great handball game.

Handball 17 is not really better than the previous episode, as it still suffers big technical issues.

Handball 17's problem is that the developers might be fans of the sport, but they haven't got a clue how to do the sport justice as a game. Last year I was willing to give the franchise a chance, hoping against hope that, it being the first game, future editions would be better. I am under no such illusions this time around.

If you have played one single match in Handball 17 then you have played all of Handball 17. A very tedious game. Time after time this gameIf you have played one single match in Handball 17 then you have played all of Handball 17. A very tedious game. Time after time this game crashes, either mid-match or at the end of a season. The most frustrating thing about Handball 17 is the career mode, you go from 6 games a season to 8, 10, 12 and 14, each game lasting a minimum of 6 minutes, which you will pretty much need to complete if you ever hope to get 100%/Platinum on this game. The only problem is that to get some trophies you will have to play for 4 and 5 star teams, which seems almost impossible regardless of how you spend you skill points, even though the game tells you that your level of offers will depend on your reputation level I have, as of writing, yet to get to sign for a team of more than 3 and a half stars even though I have maximum reputation, to think that some people paid a lot of money when this game first game out is appaling, I feel short-changed wasting £3.99 on this poor excuse for a game. If you are to take anything from today than let it be this, do not waste your money on this, and if it ever becomes free I would still advise your time and effort be better put to use in any other way.
