    Just Cause 4 is neither a revolution nor a weak entry in the series, but it is actually the most complete Just Cause title yet. JC4 gathers everything positive from the previous games, adds some other things on top of that, and despite a repetitive gameplay and some story telling issues, still manages to at least satisfy the fans of the series.

    Just Cause 4 feels uninspired and lacks anything new and exciting enough to keep players hooked. While the moment to moment gameplay is fun and refined, the lack of variety in both setting and structure makes the game fade into the background in a year packed with so many impressive titles.

    Just Cause 4's traversal system can be wonderfully entertaining, and the chaotic, explosion-sim physics in play are frequently exhilarating, but they're manacled to a game that has absolutely no idea how best to use them. What's the point in giving players an array of tools that lets them cause wanton destruction on a gargantuan scale, and then designing a campaign full of drab, copy-pasted missions that barely require you to use them? It's a bit like getting the coolest BMX on the market for Christmas, but then your Mum tells you you're only allowed to ride it around the garden where she can keep an eye on you. Cheers, Mum.

    It doesn't matter how cool an individual set piece looks if all the smaller scenes leading up to it are marred by unresponsive vehicles, dumb AI, and shoddy physics.

Although, the story is great. Everything that is done throughout the game is really interesting, and it just has fun mechanics and features to play around with. Enemies seem to spawn out of nowhere half the time. I remember the first 2 Just Cause games were pretty fun action games, but this game replaces the fun with a task system that is just way too convoluted for it's own good.

And I must say I'm extremely disappointed with this game. By far worst game of the franchise. I bought it for base PS4. Graphics are the worst thing. Sometimes it literally seems a PS2 game. Water looks awful. FPS are also terrible. Gameplay changed a lot. Movement is slower. Grappling hook configurations are tedious. And the way they changed settlements is just awful. Now you don't have to liberate anything in order to unlock new places. You just have to go and destroy random stuff around the map to get chaos and get troops to move around the map. About the story I can't say much for now. The way they did Sheldon reminds me when Game of Thrones changed the Daario Naharis actor with a completely different one... That's simply not Tom Sheldon. Played a few missions and they all were the same. I'm seriously thinking about returning this.… Expand
