An interesting title which has some good points on its playability over the combat system and game flow but simple in every other aspect.

Dead or School is a well-done 2.5d hack and slash game set beneath a ruined Tokyo. Coincidentally topical in terms of a virus ravaging the population. Well worth playing at any rate.

Despite some concessions, Dead or School is fun, humorous and packed with varied, satisfying combat. If that's your jam and appreciate an original plot, Dead or School belongs in your collection.

As something of a budget entry into the same genre occupied by Onechanbara, Dead or School is decent fun. Being a budget game it struggles to maintain a consistency in tone and experience, but a solid loot and upgrade system, some great boss fights, and a good sense of humour, all help to see it through.

Dead or School is a pretty good game with a strange and artisanal design, but quite deductive after all.

This is a decent metroidvania, quite limited by its indie budget, that targets “ecchi” fans. Unless you’re looking for this specific theme, there are many other better metroidvanias out there.

Visually ugly with inelegant, outdated gameplay, Dead or School is flunking all of its classes.

Horrid game. I bought it because I wanted something Halloween-like in October. This game just isn't very good. I looked around for some badHorrid game. I bought it because I wanted something Halloween-like in October. This game just isn't very good. I looked around for some bad reviews on Youtube but I can't find any. It just seems like they're all on Metacritic. For once, I totally agree with the main stream reviews. THIS GAME IS GARBAGE. I bought this game hoping for an easy platinum.

The first few levels are pretty fun and stuff. I played it on easy but even on easy the enemies weren't so easy. I didn't like this. Why are your enemies so hard on your easy difficulty? Even some bosses I had to grind to beat ON EASY. I should be able to mow down these dudes. The game is purely stat based.

Let me get to the platforming. If you want to get the platinum then you have to get all the stuff. Some of these platforming sections require you jump around on fast moving mine carts, and shooting. Also there are times where you have to make exact jumps while platforms disappear. This wouldn't be so bad if the platforming and jumping were precise, but they're absolutely horrible in this game. There is a part where you have to dodge lasers but because the screen moves as you do or whatever it's hard to know when to stop.

Plot? Is there a plot in this game? I totally skipped it all because it's a horribly made game not worth my time reading the visual novel amount of dialogue in it.

They should have just focused on improving the game play more and played up the zombie plot. Instead they tried making the plot DEEP but it just made it more DERP.
