Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is another good reason to have a Wii U in your living room. The small world of clay created by Hal Laboratory is wonderful to explore and fun to play.

This is an excellent debut for Kirby on the Wii U. Imaginative and joyful adventures for the Nintendo's console.

This new Kirby makes us fall in love with his new graphics and it's funny to play, totally focused on the Wii U Gamepad, but it loses steam at the middle and runs out of freshness.

Overshadowed by the games that inspired it. [Issue#160, p.99]

It certainly isn’t awful, but what strengths it does have only really appeal to the Kirby faithful, or less serious gamers.

Expectations are always high when one of Nintendo’s mascots is featured in a new game. Unfortunately Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush fails to live up to the expectations, due to some tortuous control mechanics. The graphics are colorful and cute, but gets overshadowed by the mechanics that doesn’t seem to be properly thought through.

One of the greatest Kirby games...!!! the graphics are original and awesome.

This new adventure Kirby has surprised me with gallons left over to stay in the memory. Today came the day when the pink ball of Nintendo came to my home and after 7 hours of play can say it is a work of quality, perfect and very careful. His visual style is perfect, the dough seems out of the screen to be molded. The music is wonderful, is composed with care and is epic. Finally much innovation and technologically very good. Compradlo and enjoy it as much as I did.

The amount of levels and boss repetition means nothing when the rest of the brilliant Rainbow Curse lives up to my expectations. HAL alwaysThe amount of levels and boss repetition means nothing when the rest of the brilliant Rainbow Curse lives up to my expectations. HAL always knows how to make an experience that’s just the right difficulty with innovative gameplay to match. Kirby’s new gameplay mechanics are brilliantly paced and designed so you’ll never feel as if you’re doing something wrong. Add to that stellar music and visuals and you’ve got yourself another great Kirby game. Expand

Just have in mind this isn't a traditional kirby game but that doesn't mean it's bad but the gameplay while sometimes charming is mostly dull but one positive is that the variety of worlds is pretty large but this game just wasn't for me but if the gameplay isn't to much for you and you love the art style and charm i recommend this game for you. Easily the best claymation-style graphics I've ever seen, and the overall tone of the game feels more in line with Kirby 64 and Dreamland 3 tham the RtDL style.
It's too bad HAL backpedaled on this with Star Allies, which has less stylistically impressive graphics and only runs at 30fps.
