A tepid sequel to Kirby And The Power Paintbrush, that even with its short running time barely manages to stretch it’s small collection of ideas across a whole game.

The Rainbow Curse simply doesn’t measure up to other Kirby games and other Nintendo games. It’s a case of control-scheme innovation gone just a little too wild and while the game is fun in its earliest stages, a blend of boredom and frustration can easily set in as the action wears on.

Nothing about the gameplay feels broken, it just feels soulless this time around.

Expectations are always high when one of Nintendo’s mascots is featured in a new game. Unfortunately Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush fails to live up to the expectations, due to some tortuous control mechanics. The graphics are colorful and cute, but gets overshadowed by the mechanics that doesn’t seem to be properly thought through.

Another fun game for all ages from Nintendo! While the style may not be everyone's favorite, I found it very fun and I had a smile on my faceAnother fun game for all ages from Nintendo! While the style may not be everyone's favorite, I found it very fun and I had a smile on my face the entire time! Sometimes the controls are tricky, but that is the purpose of the game - to control Kirby the best you can! Thank you Nintendo for making these kinds of games! 9/10 Full Review »

How is it that a CONSOLE kirby game has less content then its 10 year old handheld rival when it is supposed to be a sequel? what has happenedHow is it that a CONSOLE kirby game has less content then its 10 year old handheld rival when it is supposed to be a sequel? what has happened to gaming when console kirby games from the once AAA Hal laboratory has become incredibly slow and easy to the point of being boring. It's insulting enough that when you die a few times the game asks you if you want to SKIP THE LEVEL, and also the fact that a kirby and the canvas curse sequel has NO power ups when it should have much more fun and interesting powerups then its handheld predessor is boring. no mini games/time trials. what the hell has happened to the video game industry to make a console kirby game this void of depth.

1/10. an absolute disgrace for kirby fans waiting for a real kirby console kirby game that could wow us, not a budget iphone title simpler and shorter than its predecassor. clay graphics were very pretty though.
