Tropico 6 is a highly addictive city and government simulator that has realistic game mechanics with an easy to use build and management interface. A marvelous, challenging, enjoyable and non complicated experience.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I went into Tropico 6, but I came out in love. It's truly one of the best city building games of all time, and it has an excellent amount of polish, depth, and satire that all help it feel like a unique experience. The cluttered interface is a downside, but it's hardly one that impacts the overall gameplay much.

Despite its flaws, Tropico 6 will definitely cause you to stay up later than you should. If you’re willing to forgive the lack of structure, you can spend hours and hours building on each of the included maps. There’s even a randomized map generator once you squeeze all the fun from the included content. In this way, Tropico 6 feels like an old school PC release, but it should still appeal to a wide variety of players looking to rule the tropics with a tanned iron fist.

Tropico 6 rises to be a worthy successor of Tropico 4, taking the franchise back on the track with its archipelago system and return of some of the old features from the previous games.

Tropico 6 lacks of innovations. It is a good Tropico, but it has lost part of the series magic.

Tropico 6 involves a huge time investment and a steep learning curve, but it is a solid entry in the management/sim genre.

Tropico 6 is entertaining fun, which guarantees many hours of management and strategy, with a well-leveled difficulty. Although it is inevitable not to think that it is a low-risk and original work.

Best Tropico in the series. Love the archipelagos, even if it makes it tough to grow quickly.

Seemingly everyMostly enjoyable but as I progressed to later mission such as referendum and superpower defence, I found the game impossible. Seemingly every 5 minutes a fire would break out and destroy some important building such as a power station or factory. Sometimes I would get a message saying a fire had broken out but when I looked at the map there was no obvious fire. All this in spite of having a firs station with a helicopter. So I often ended up building even more fire stations ...wasting money and still fires every 5 minutes....ARGGGGGHHHHH! Stupid annoying fires. Who ever thought that this would make a game fun? I am not a new player I have played every Tropico version but there are some really annoying bugs with Tropico 6. Another annoying feature is that the campaigne is not logical just a series of seemingly random maps that have little resemblance to one another. You can succeed very well on one map and then the next one is so different and impossible that it bears no similarity to anything before. A logical campaign that takes the player through step by step missions instead of random unrelated missions would have been welcome. HINT: delete the fires from the next version of Tropico. Superannoying. Expand

It looks pretty and it has some good charme. But there are some aspects that i really, really do not like .. at all.

    - the size ... the islands are tiny. There is no feeling of scale. The nation is smaller than a miniature village .. it all makes no sense at all in terms of presentation

    - the humor ... is kind of lame. The light tone it takes when it comes to an island dictatorship is in the wrong place - for my taste.

    - the sense of micro and macro management ... is lacking. Compared to games like Anno 1405, Cities Skyline or similar .. there really is not much behind the pretty fascade.

All in all, i liked the colourful graphics, but i do not care for the game.

This game is pathetic no matter what you do you start out ok but the more you build the worse it gets. you never make enough money to coverThis game is pathetic no matter what you do you start out ok but the more you build the worse it gets. you never make enough money to cover expenses you end up reducing their budget which makes the people unhappy than they rebel against you you never seem to make enough money from trades or freight and eventually you get hit with a domino effect and end up in the red -50k. 90% of the game your just sitting there doing nothing waiting to get more money which you never get!
