Creatures of Ava is a touching and colourful adventure title. Its charming nature and fantasy story captured my attention. However, it does not excel as an adventure title. Yet, this matters not as the environments are lush and the creatures are crazy.

Though it wasn’t perfect, there is no denying that I loved Moo Lander. Its blend of exploration, combat and RPG elements was fantastic. Sadly, the controls weren’t as accurate as I’d have liked, but this is a minor thing. If you love multiplayer games, you’ll adore what is on offer. Alongside this, the story mode is excellent thanks to its amusing plot, badass cows, and eclectic blend of aliens. Unsurprisingly, I recommend you to buy it here! Will you save your species, or will every cow escape? Upgrade your ship, kill the aliens, and beam up every bovine you encounter.

In closing, Silent Hope is a excellent, Etrian Odyssey-styled dungeon crawler with a great story, lots of things to do at base camp, and randomly-generated dungeon layouts. That being said, the music was a bit forgettable, and only the title theme and the first dungeon theme stuck out to me on a first listen to. Also, there can sometimes be a bit too much to do in the base camp at one time, which leads to a sense of feeling overwhelmed. Despite these 3 setbacks, the rest of the game definitely does way more than enough to make up for those shortcomings. I definitely recommend this game if you haven’t played it already.

Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express is a fantastic whodunnit murder mystery. You must use your investigatory skills and your mind map to find the evidence and piece together the clues. With puzzles and plenty of colourful characters, this will keep you busy.

I can’t really recommend buying this. My only hope is that the largely middling reviews for this game don’t discourage other developers from making original Lego games when there’s so much potential there. How else am I to get my King Baldwin IV vs. Salah-al-Din Jerusalem siege Lego game?

Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril is an old-school platform title with hints of Metroidvania chucked in. Consequently, it is brutal, frustrating, but oh so moreish. You'll scream and want to quit as you die repeatedly. However, a hero is needed to save the day and you must step forward. This is a must-play for fans of retro gaming, but it may be underwhelming if you are on the fence.

Trifox is a fun and challenging game that is sure to appeal to fans of action-adventure games. The game’s graphics are colourful, and the gameplay is fluid and responsive. Trifox is a great choice for players who are fans of the genre and want to try something unique.

Mystic Gate is a cruel and harsh rogue-lite title. You'll die, respawn, and die again. This simple gameplay loop won't be enough for some, but I enjoyed its sinister and often unfair ways.

I won’t deny that it’s an experience worth trying once, especially for those curious about experimental design. Slots and Daggers is one of those games that dares to gamble with its own ideas. It just happens to lose the bet somewhere along the way. So yes, play it for the curiosity, but don’t expect it to pull you back for another spin.

ICARUS Console Edition isn’t a perfect experience but when it’s on song, it’s a bold, vast, atmospheric and hugely ambitious survival game. It can be rewarding, satisfying and breath taking. Sadly, some players will be put off by a brutal learning curve and terrible UI. If you can get past that, there is a deeply rewarding survival game where you are the story and your adventures fill the page.

If you yearn for the days of the classic arcade platformer and don’t mind being abused by non-descript astronauts, then Moons of Darsalon could be worth a bit of your time (and money I guess). Just don’t expect the next classic in the genre.

Read Only Memories: Neurodiver is a great visual novel experience. However, it isn't perfect. Yet, I enjoyed the varied characters and the excellent story. Sadly, though, the controls weren't great, and replay value is limited.

Tactical Takedown won’t dethrone the gaming heavyweight triple A games, but it doesn’t need to. This instalment into the turtles is a fan-friendly and original turn-based spin on the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For strategy newcomers, Tactical Takedown is accessible; and for genre veterans, it is a palate-cleanser with nostalgia and fun.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure truly is a new benchmark for a franchise that is close to my heart. A superb thought-provoking tale spearheaded by the exquisitely voiced Max, make this game stay in the mind and heart for years to come. A diverse and well rounded cast help propel the story to new heights whilst new gameplay mechanics make this the most interactive and immersive game in the series. Industry leading graphics and the best soundtrack of the year make this a strong contender for end of year awards. Only minor sound issues and overall story length hinder this spell binding tale. I laughed, I cried and now I long for more.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a wonderfully in-depth adventure RPG. You'll love its sprawling open world, and its time-sink campaign. Sadly, its multiplayer option isn't as captivating, but that matters not. With vast battles and folksy audio, this will impress you throughout.

To put it simply, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is an absolute blast. An over the top, fun filled cooperative shooter, with solid gunplay and great exploration which will have any lover of this genre smiling from ear to ear. Whilst there are some inconsistencies with enemy and bot balancing, and the game is on the short side, it’s still a great time. Add in superb visuals, great sound design and a rip roaring soundtrack and you have a real blast from the past! This is a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously and is just here for a good time! I can’t wait to go back for more.

Heidelberg 1693 is a gory 2.5D action adventure title. Furthermore, its old-school appeal, hard-hitting audio, and macabre story are fantastic. Sadly, the controls aren't perfect, and the gameplay can be unfairly tough. However, this shouldn't stop you from "enjoying" this blood-soaked, gruesome affair.

Swarm Grinder is a cruel and often challenging rogue-like experience. Moreover, the casual gameplay is ideal to enjoy between major title. However, a lack of originality and tough action may put some people off.

Quite an excellent game to play.

The Block is a relaxing and creative city builder. Choose your map, flick through your assets, and get building. Though its appeal is limited, its laid-back approach is enjoyable.

Is Mamorukun ReCurse! for everyone? No. Is Mamorukun ReCurse! even for most people? Probably not. The game caters to a very niche audience with its gameplay and art style, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that the package on offer is solid, and those who appreciate the genre will find it a decent addition to their collection.

Overall, I had a blast and will definitely continue playing this one post-review. I haven’t beaten all the chapters yet and I’ve heard the Old One Cthulhu itself makes an appearance. If you were or still are a fan of boomer shooter games such as Doom, I encourage you to give this one a try! I would also recommend this game to those that enjoy the oddities of the Lovecraftian genre as the attention to details will fully immerse you within a Lovecraftian world. A big bravo to Byte Barrel and I’ll be sure to keep my eyes open for what they do next.

This game is totally amusing and entertaining, even with a few glitches that might cause a slight slow down in-between scenes.

Biomorph may not be the soulslike it was perceived to be, but it set itself apart by impressing me with its transformational mechanics, strong customizable kit and riveting sci-fi story. Like the name suggests, you can morph into your enemies gaining a new and unique moveset. It is exponentially satisfying to utilize these monster’s abilities to traverse to new areas and find secrets. The serious tone of the story has tones of lightheartedness and lore that was given the care it deserved. Biomorph is an enjoyable metroidvania with many unique qualities that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Sleek visuals, simple yet intriguing narrative and an absolutely incredible soundtrack; OXTO really is a force to behold in this genre. Superb sound design and variety of weapons and abilities, coupled with the focus mechanic help create varying gameplay styles to test and innovate. It’s only the erratic AI and some choices relating to the game’s upgrades that can make OXTO lose its momentum in the long term replay ability aspect. But OXTO is a game I would highly recommend, a real fun blast.

Session: Skate Sim is a game any skating enthusiast will love, and any curious gamers ought to try. Once you accept the inevitability of failure, it becomes a great example of the satisfaction that comes from perseverance.

NASCAR 25 is a good simulation, including multiple modes that, while similar in some aspects, let players experience the breadth of the racing experience. It’s not the most beginner-friendly product in the world, and I doubt that it will catch on with those outside the sport’s sphere of influence, but longtime fans should be satisfied with the offer on display.

Monster Energy Supercross 6 is an incredible addition to the franchise. Thanks to its deep career mode and excellent online action, this will keep you busy. On top of this, the graphics are amazing and the audio is obnoxious but brilliant. Furthermore, the difficulty settings and academy make this perfect for veterans and newcomers alike.

Project Nightmares is a dark procedurally generated horror experience. With tight spaces and horrific creatures, this will test your resolve. Moreover, the use of puzzles and the reliance on light will push you to your limits.

Petty complaints aside, Isonzo is a rather well-rounded experience. If you can gather a little team, and form a squad, then that’s the way to go here. You’re in for a treat. If you’re playing alone, it’ll be tough, but you’ll still have a good time. Immerse yourself in history, imagine the actual people who went through the grueling trials of combat, and the experience will be more meaningful. Whether it’s the vibrant landscapes or swelling soundtrack, Isonzo has a little bit for everyone. It can comfortably take its place as a real contender in the historical FPS genre.

Encased is a decent RPG with extraordinary worldbuilding. It might not reinvent the wheel, but it certainly brings a worthwhile adventure that deserves to be experienced.

Strong visual design and an intriguing world help keep Verne: The Shape of Fantasy afloat, though a handful of missed tricks with the gameplay do threaten to sink it.

Paleo Pines is a fun and adorable farming simulation title. Make friends with the locals and tame the dinosaurs to help run the farm. It is enjoyable, colourful, and great for kids. However, the poor controls and grinding gameplay hold it back.

Zapling Bygone is a cruel Metroidvania title. What's more, there are plenty of collectables on offer and a range of skulls to find. Consequently, it'll test your ability and keep you on edge throughout. My only annoyance is the sheer difficulty, and the lack of guidance can become frustrating.

Overall this game is a great opportunity to pick up and play whenever, it may be quite difficult but it’s generally quite a short game. The art style alone is fascinating enough to recommend this game alone. The storytelling is very ambitious but overall wasn’t very engaging and I would have liked to hear more of that beautiful soundtrack. Altogether, I’m still very excited to see what Orangutan Matter makes next.

Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening is perfect if you love the anime series. Furthermore, it is quirky, niche, and full of witty one-liners. However, if you do not like the 80s cartoon, the action, story, and blend of retro cutscenes will not resonate.

Mafia: The Old Country is the kind of game that a true fan can respect. It’s a strike of lightning back to the soul of Mafia, quiet, violent, ritualistic, and weighed down by tradition. The visuals, the writing, the performances, they all deliver that rare feeling of authenticity and mood that modern open worlds often sacrifice. But, as someone who still chafes at regimented stealth, repetitive knife duels, and there-but-not-there worlds, the nostalgia wears thin when mechanics don’t evolve. I understand going back to the roots, but games still need to evolve and unfortunately The Old Country plays mostly on nostalgia. if you want to close your eyes and step into a moody, beautifully staged Sicilian crime saga, this is it. Just don’t be surprised if once the credits roll, you’re left craving more depth, more unpredictability, and maybe a little more life outside the script.

Paper Cut Mansion pleasantly surprises with its horror take on the papercraft art style of more family-friendly platformers. If you’re a fan of puzzle games with a bit of combat thrown in, it’s one I recommend.

Overall, “DIG – Deep in Galaxies” is a solid game that provides hours of entertainment. The multiplayer system is a great addition, and the graphics are lovely. The roguelike mechanics keep things challenging and unpredictable, although the learning curve can be a bit steep for new players. The game can feel repetitive after a while, but the distinctive 2D landscapes and ecosystems of each planet make up for it. This game is definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re a fan of the roguelike genre or if you’re looking for a game to play with your friends. Just be prepared to die a lot and spend some time getting the hang of things. With a bit of patience and perseverance, you’ll be able to DIG deep and uncover all the secrets that this game has to offer.

Zenless Zone Zero feels like a fresh take on a genre that Hoyoverse has done already. Its setting feels unique, and its combo-centric combat allows players to experiment and express their playstyles through team compositions and combo theory. All while maintaining what makes a Hoyoverse game unique: its cast of fun characters and stellar combat. The learning curve for this game is steeper, and the roster is thin out of the gate. For those looking for an action game to stick with for a while, Zenless Zone Zero is worth checking out.

Ultimately, this game is a mixed bag. Its combat is addictive and well-designed, offering plenty of content, secrets, and mechanics to keep players engaged. However, the lack luster graphics, at times frustrating enemy design, and odd gameplay choices hold it back from reaching its full potential. It’s a game worth playing, but perhaps one best picked up during a sale.

Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is a fine hybrid experience. With choose your own adventure elements, team management, exploration, and survival mechanics, this is an impressive addition to the genre. I enjoyed my time in deep space, but the harsh reality of failure will be a sticking point for many.

The Spell Brigade does just enough to elevate the genre, and becomes a fun, challenging roguelike with the bonus element of co-op. The progression system hasn't survived Early Access unscathed, but it remains enjoyable nonetheless.

Soulstice is an interesting hack 'n slash title with a captivating plot. Focusing heavily on combat mechanics, the developers have delivered a slick and exciting adventure game. Furthermore, the excellent visuals and incredible audio help to set the scene.

Trek to Yomi is a beautiful and sombre title that is full of death and destruction. Its story is amazing, as is the cinematic. However, the controls, combat, and repetition hold it back and are disappointing.

If you can look past the clunkiness in the presentation, you'll find some deep and interesting mechanics in Men of War II. The gruelling grind of its combat makes it great for generating stories, though there is a distinct lack of polish.

Thymesia is the latest title to try and be the next Soulsborne experience. Sadly, its lofty ideas fall short and its potential is never reached. On top of this, a lack of originality holds it back throughout.

Peppa Pig: World Adventures is a phenomenal child-friendly title that will impress your youngsters. With fun and safe gameplay, and vivid colours, this is aimed at a younger audience. However, as an adult, it was pretty annoying. Thankfully, though, the simple controls and straightforward mechanics allow your children to tackle this alone.

Yomawari: Lost in the Dark is a decent horror title that never quite allows itself to excel in any particular area. Japanese horror fans will enjoy the variety of enemies and the scares, but outside of the cleanly drawn visuals and a decent story, it can’t escape the demon of its own design – a short runtime that just feels too long due to its repetitive gameplay and late-revealing secrets.

A world that's complex and satisfying to shape. Sengoku Dynasty is an enjoyable and absorbing experience, despite being very rough around the edges.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead keeps you on your toes throughout. It is creepy, uncomfortable, and just a little challenging. However, it is the silence that is deafening. If you can stay silent, you have every chance of surviving.

The Invincible is a slow-paced, narrative driven sci-fi adventure game based on a novel of the same name. Developed by Starward Industries and published by 11 Bit Studios. You’ll be drawn into the stunning alien world and feel nostalgic for those old sci-fi movies when you see the retro-futuristic aesthetic.

At its best, Rematch shines as an absolute blast of a football game. Unique design, great controls and just downright fun gameplay will keep players coming back for one more match countless times. Stunning visuals and animations also help solidify Sloclap as true masters of graphical presentation. Sadly, some bugs, audio miscues and a disappointing soundtrack will dampen the spirit slightly but thankfully not terminally. Rematch is a bold attempt at mixing up the format of sports games and I applaud Sloclap for taking a leap of faith. I just cannot wait to go back in and play another game!

Steredenn: Binary Stars is a high-energy roguelike shoot ’em up with tight mechanics, endless variety, and brutal bosses. While it doesn’t take advantage of PS5-specific features, it runs smoothly and delivers pure arcade joy for fans of challenging gameplay.

Road 96: Mile 0 is a narrative-adventure game from DigiXArt that is a prequel to Road 96. Play as both Zoe and Kaito and decide if the regime is one you believe in, or one you feel needs to be toppled. Which of the four endings will you get?

My time with Nintendo Switch Sports has been one of the most fun experiences I have had with a co-op game. And frankly, the most fun I’ve had with anything sport-related ever.

Exoprimal is an interesting third-person shooter that sadly misses the mark. I loved the potential on offer, but unfortunately, the repetitive action becomes stale very quickly. However, if you subscribe to Game Pass I suggest you give it a go.

Little Orpheus is a colourful adventure title that plays it too safe. I loved its whacky story, interesting backdrops, and fun mechanics. However, its repetitive nature undermines its potential and this was disappointing.

The game is also exclusive to PS5 of all things supposedly because it hopes to implement PSVR. Not for the actual game mind you, but just for a first person cutscene at the beginning. I’m not sure of the story behind this exclusivity, but this seems like an odd way to split your fanbase especially when the last game was available on practically everything.

Sephonie has a lot of interesting things to say but unfortunately isn't too great at the gameplay side. Musings on change, identity and place are good. Awkward platforming and oddly easy puzzles, less so.

Qomp2 is a challenging but fun old-school-inspired title. Break free from the paddles as you explore a tough and dangerous world. Avoid obstacles and navigate tight spaces in a game that will make you scream and cry.

Despite these minor shortcomings, “The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication” remains a standout entry in the horror genre, earning its place among the pantheon of spine-tingling classics. With its spine-chilling atmosphere, engaging narrative, and solid gameplay mechanics, this haunting journey through the halls of a haunted school is sure to leave a lasting impression on even the most seasoned horror aficionados. Brace yourself for a nightmarish descent into darkness, and remember—once the clock strikes midnight, there’s no escaping the shadows that lurk within.

Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is a cute adventure title that is addictive, enjoyable, and full of loveable characters. Furthermore, it is manageable, and it is included with Xbox Game Pass. The only negative is the grind. However, this is a minor issue and doesn't detract from the experience.

A rarity in the current industry, Catto’s Post Office lives up to all of its promises. But it doesn’t really go further than that. There’s little replay value or staying power beyond an easy list of achievements and some hidden rubber ducks to discover amongst the map. But maybe you don’t want that, maybe you want a short and sweet parcel of joy after a long day; Catto will deliver it straight to you. After recently ploughing through an enormous open world game, I greatly appreciated the brevity; though I perhaps would’ve liked to get to know these characters better and done a little more for them.

Dark Quest 4 successfully transforms itself from board to video game but loses something in the process, leaving it feeling a little flat and cold.

EARTH VS MARS is a solid strategy game. But that’s mostly it. It doesn’t add any interesting characteristics that we haven’t seen before, and it takes few risks with its gameplay. After a while, I did find myself wanting to play a different strategy game, one that really makes me think and one that doesn’t take an absurd amount of time to show the damage being committed to enemy combatants. In the end, Earth VS MARS doesn’t do much wrong; on a different side of the same coin, it doesn’t do too much great either to separate itself from an ever-competitive genre.

The foundations have all been laid, the walls erected, now Legion IX just needs a roof and a coat of paint. Despite this, I would recommend this title to anyone unfamiliar with the Tactical RPG scene. It’s simple to learn and rewarding to master, with various difficulties that cater to every audience possible. If anything, I recommend switching the starting difficulty to hard, rather than normal, as this mode won’t challenge you (apart from some weird difficulty spikes near the end). So if you’re interested in history and fantasy, or even just want something that’ll make you think, King Arthur Legion IX is a great place to start.

The more you stretch, the more you realise this isn’t just a game, it’s an absurd fever dream where you’re a stretchy hero who never asked for this. But, hey, at least you’re having fun, right?

To sum up, Directive 8020 is a brilliant new step in the Dark Pictures Anthology. It is a chilling, haunting sci fi horror mystery, with great twist and turns. Refined and polished gameplay and awe inspiring visuals help make this title the best in the series to date. Supermassive are the kings of the interactive horror genre and despite the short length and lack of shared story, this is my favourite entry in the series.

As an indie game Tormented Souls is never going to reach Bloodborne or Resident Evil level of polish but that’s ok. Despite its lower end graphics (compared to the latest titles on current generation, and even last generation consoles) it holds up. It holds up because it plays on that nostalgia for the survival horror games of old.

Lego Bricktales is an amusing adventure title that should have been phenomenal. However, its poor execution and woeful controls undermine its potential. Yes, the characters are colourful and zany, but the building mechanics and camera angles are terrible.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 has some nice shiny new mechanics. However, evolution is limited and this will frustrate franchise fans. Yet, if you are new to the game, you will adore the stunning graphics, deep career, and interesting racing gameplay.

The Invincible is a sci-fi experience that shifts tried and tested perspectives. However, sadly, it didn't resonate and I struggled to enjoy every moment. However, if you like an unusual game that tries something new, then this could be right up your street.

Artis Impact is an engaging RPG with a rich story and gorgeous visuals. My time with the game so far has been great and I am eager to reach the end to see how the story concludes. If you enjoy RPGs, I would highly recommend this game. From where I’m at, I believe I’m almost nearing the end of the game so it’s not super long if you prefer shorter RPGs.

Destroy all Humans! 2 - Reprobed is an amusing smutty title. You must control Crypto and seek revenge against the KGB. En route, you encounter some weird and eclectic people. Befriend some of them, but leave behind the people that hold you back.

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin channels the original Quake and fills its levels with interesting guns and gross enemies. Combat feels great - especially the shotgun - and there's a lot of content to sink your teeth into, though it feels a little formulaic by the end. The limited save system is quite the misstep, but doesn't detract from the fun too much.

It’s not about mastering racing. It’s about enjoying it, briefly. And while that’s enough for some, others may find themselves wanting just a little more before the finish line.

Layers of Fear (2023) is a fantastic remake of a much-loved series. Built using Unreal Engine 5, you'll enjoy Ray Tracing, HDR, and 4K resolution. Furthermore, every game in the series runs chronologically to create a seamless and cruel experience.

The Great War: Western Front: is a wonderful treat for those who have experience with the RTS genre and an intense interest in history. For those like myself who have no experience with RTS games however, this can be a major struggle to get through and has the potential to be just another game in a backlog that won’t be touched again after the initial hours.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a challenging soulslike title. What's more, its death mechanics are cruel, there is a distinct lack of guidance, and a day/night cycle makes things tougher still. Yet, stunning graphics and interesting audio keep you going. Furthermore, "The Ritual" is interesting, often unfair, but worthy of your time. Moreover, a range of colourful and interesting characters help to keep you on your toes.

Evil Dead: The Game is a homage to 80s horror and Sam Raimi. It captures the franchise perfectly and you'll grimace and chuckle as the action unfolds. It is excellent as a multiplayer experience. However, solo gamers will find it unfairly harsh and this will frustrate you.

Reverie Knights Tactics is a fun but tough turn-based tactical RPG. You must control a small band of heroes as you fight relentless foes, manage your stats, and plan every move. It is tough and requires a methodical mindset.

With its tremendous take on the turn-based gameplay formula and creative vehicle/weapon customization, Reborn has one of the simplest and most addictive gameplay loops I’ve ever experienced, even out-performing its larger JRPG cousins in that regard. Sadly, as the cancellation of Reborn’s sequel came on the same day as its own release, it rings even more true now that Reborn is a giant killer from start to finish, going out perhaps not as intended, but in a blaze of glory.

A pocket-sized piece of interactive fiction, Quantum Witch does a lot of interesting things with its writing, but its abrupt length and love of quips stop it fully hitting home.

Quite simply for me, Harold Halibut is an astonishing achievement in story telling and game design. It has visuals that need to be seen to be believed and a story focusing on the human mind and psyche as well as the unknown. This game has it all for an interactive drama. Wonderfully voiced by a diverse cast, deftly scored by a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack and crafted with such love and care, Harold Halibut truly is a feat in modern gaming, and one that will stay with for me for a long time. I know this type of game isn’t for everyone, but for me, this is perfection.

Wreckfest is an excellent Destruction Derby-inspired title. Compete solo or with friends in this adrenaline-fuelled and hectic racing game.

Way of the Hunter is a slow-paced but engrossing hunting simulation title. With beautiful scenery, stunning animals, and plenty of fantastic mechanics, this oozes realism. If you want a fulfilling and deep experience, then look no further.

Confidential Killings spins a dark yarn about the media and drug empires. It's an intriguing set up, but the gameplay is simple enough that a lot of it solves itself. Still, it's an entertaining ride while it lasts.

Andro Dunos 2 is an homage to side scrolling shoot’em ups and does most things well, the weaponry options are particularly impressive. So if you’re looking for some high octane action over a short period you won’t go far wrong with Andro Dunos 2. Unfortunately there isn’t much depth to Andro Dunos 2 in terms of modes so once you’ve completed it you won’t replay it.

Sokobos offers a chill and satisfying experience. I can safely say that I recommend Sokobos but, if you are a puzzle game fan, the challenging nature will sate you itch. For others that are not however, I understand that the game’s learning curve will put you off the game. So, if you are interested give it a go and if you didn’t like the experience, you can refund it with Steam refund policy.

Priest Simulator is a whacky and odd simulation title. You must complete religious tasks while helping the community. Moreover, you'll stop those non-believers who stand in your way. Shoot, fight, and pray your way to victory.

Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart is a fun family-friendly title. Pick from an array of familiar characters as you race around Cretacia to be crowned champion. Thankfully, the mechanics are easy to understand and the controls are fantastic for younger gamers. Consequently, this is perfect for younger gamers.

While it is no doubt disappointing that this isn’t a full collection, at half the price of a newly-released game, Monster Boy Collection still not only offers value for a discerning fan, but is jam-packed full of retro goodness that simply never gets old.

It’s one of those games that after you complete it, you can still return and experience it over and over, without it ever getting dull or feeling a shortage of brilliance.

Strayed Lights is a strange and immersive adventure title. With interesting stage design, incredible audio, and slick combat, this is one game that shouldn't be missed. It wasn't on my radar, but I'm glad I got to experience it.

Overall, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition felt to be a strong attempt, and in many aspects, succeeds well in moving from VR to non-VR. If you’re coming into it without having played the VR version, it ought to feel like a solid Alien first-person shooter / horror experience: plenty of atmosphere, dread, decent combat, improved visuals, and tighter controls. The reworked AI and changes to control and camera help make the game more accessible and perhaps more “fun” in a conventional flat screen sense without the necessity of a VR setup.

Life is Strange has always been a game which focuses on story and Reunion nails this with an emotional tale of friendship, loss, guilt and death. Coupled with stunning visuals, industry leading facial animations and a killer soundtrack, Deck Nine have done it again. I sincerely hope this is not the end of the series overall. Life is Strange will stay with me forever.

Little Witch Nobeta is nothing special. It does nothing better than any other number of games I could name. Its gameplay becomes fairly stale the moment you realise how truly limited your options are, there’s no sense of character building beyond flat stat upgrades, and the level variety is so stale that if not for some puzzles, I would have been convinced that the levels were randomly generated. The game has some love put into it with the unlockable costumes and the small lore tidbits, but I just can’t recommend this to anyone who’s played a souls/ soulslike game before. Sure it’s fairly cheap, but there’s no shortage of cheap (and better) soulslikes.
