Empire of the Ants is a strange blend of RPG and RTS action. However, it is the ultrarealistic world and the phenomenal audio that makes this shine. Though the camera angle was occasionally horrible, I enjoyed the variety of missions and the interesting but flawed story.

Reanimal has a dark story, carefully crafted for a deep exploration into the concept of dehumanization using animals as symbols. The gameplay is fully 3D and features improved combat, but falls short in its platforming and puzzles. The visuals are outstanding, creating an eye-catching dark atmosphere and world with high-fidelity graphics and perfect performance. Sound design and soundtracks harmonize with the visuals to further immerse the player in its darkness. Reanimal has both improvements and drawbacks, with enough shortcomings to place it slightly below Little Nightmares 2.

I would certainly recommend Indika to any fans of platformers or story-driven adventures. It doesn’t take long at all to connect with these characters and the story. One warning is the game is quite short, it currently sits with an average of a four-hour playtime on Howlongtobeat.com. It’s also not the most replayable experience, there isn’t much outside of the story to do. So if you’re looking for something to keep you entertained for a longer time frame, this might not be for you. For me personally, I think it was an appropriate length for the story it was telling and I wasn’t at all bothered by its short length. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what Odd Meter produce next.

The story is ordinary and acceptable and strong in some final parts. The gameplay is extremely smooth, varied and fun, the camera movement is a bit difficult and the loadings are annoying. Great level design makes the game never repetitive. The visuals are beautiful and the art is charming, but it doesn’t run at 4k60fps. The soundtracks are very catchy.

Besides how I feel, no one has to be a perfect card player to play this game or know how to play it. It’s mostly how to cheat and that is all taught to the player right before the real card games begin. Of course speed, accuracy, and memorizing are also key points to winning each game. So then when you do win you can move forward to even higher stake tables. Lastly, the game will provide plenty of challenges, build some great skills, and is a bunch of fun when you’re able to cheat your way to the top!

Spirit Hunters: Death Mark II is a visual horror novel that delivers some stunning visuals but is an otherwise okay video game. While the story felt cliche at some moments, there were some bright spots in the 20 hours I spent with the game. Overall, despite my many confusions, I enjoy the game’s complexity. The narrative is super enticing and has my attention and is full of twists that I was not expecting—and I’m only a few hours in! The gameplay is yes, complex at times and can be slightly confusing in the beginning, but I think that’s part of the charm to the game. Once you get more comfortable with the many elements in play, things will start making a lot more sense. Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is a tale of two halves. On the story front, it might be one of the weaker stories for the MMO. Wuk Lamat is an overbearing main character who is illogical at times. None of the other new characters stand out, and fan favorites from previous expansions don’t significantly impact the story. On the other hand, the dungeons and trials are some of the most fun I’ve had in the game. Both new classes are a blast, and the graphics update adds a nice touch to the game. Chip ‘N Clawz vs. The Brainioids could have easily been dismissed as a Ratchet & Clank knockoff at first glance, but it manages to carve out its own identity by blending action-platformer aesthetics with surprisingly deep real-time strategy mechanics. It’s accessible without dumbing things down, letting players enjoy both the direct control of a cartoon hero and the broader satisfaction of building, managing, and commanding troops. Solo players get a well-paced campaign that gradually ramps up complexity, but it’s in co-op that the game becomes something special, equal parts tactical and chaotic, often hilarious, and always rewarding when you and your partner finally sync up. Chronicles of the Wolf is a damn good time and it’s exactly what you’d expect. I’ve repeated that phrase a few times now, but only because it’s so objectively true. Like tribute bands and movie tropes, we need a touch of the old school to remind us how far we’ve come and how much fun we’ve had along the way. If you know what you’re doing, you can breeze through in 5 hours, but it’s just difficult enough to provide a decent length on a first play through, owing to some pretty tricky boss fights that just about avoid being annoying.

In the era of debate of what is a remaster and what is a remake, Days Gone Remastered does exactly what the title says. New modes such as the horde assault add variety and difficulty and the great accessibility additions contribute to an already strong package. The visuals and audio were already brilliant but the improvements to these departments help solidify their greatness. The story remains exactly as before, warts and all and still is divisive to this day, but to me, it’s a great adventure that tries to tell an intimate story in a vast and daunting world. Hopefully one day, Sony will greenlight a sequel, but for now and to me, this remains Sony’s most underrated game. See you on the open road!

Nobody Wants To Die is everything I wanted it to be and more. It felt like a 1920’s detective thriller in the future and I loved every second of the mysterious twisting story that had me gripped until the very end. Stunning visuals that can compete with any AAA game on the market and a gorgeous soundtrack that helps heighten the tension and mood really seal this game as one of my favourite experiences this year. Its linear structure will not be for everyone and its short length left me wanting much more. But for a first attempt for Critical Hit games, this is a slam dunk. I just hope they return to this fantastic retro-futuristic world they have created.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium is nothing but a game that is completely full of classics, 32 total. So there are no worries you can enjoy all the faves in one game and try playing against others or the computer; AI. It’s simple to just step up to an arcade machine, which they really appear as, and just start playing. So never be fooled, even playing old games aren’t as easy as it may seem. Back then they took a lot of time to defeat and there were patterns and ways to do certain tricks to win and defeat the opponents so they can win the game. So right now there is nothing different, just plenty of challenging gameplay that will make you work harder and become a better fighter, racer and so much more with all these games. That is why I love this game collection!

From being the hero, Klonoa saves and meets new friends, playing through bright and original levels full of obstacles to overcome, defeating many foes, plenty of items to discover, and all-size bosses that are tough but that is what makes the game so much more entertaining. Of course, always winning the game, stopping them, and finally, you can call victory when completing the game, that is what makes this a game so worth playing and playing over again and again!

The joy of finding something new that flys, crawls, and just looks appetizing is as exciting as discovering a new Pokemon, but instead of battling you get to eat them. So if it’s cute, fun, and a puzzling type of adventure game you’d love to try, then you might just want to play Bugsnax.

After the Fall is a solid VR shooter that delivers a thrilling, albeit repetitive, experience. The game's immersive world and satisfying gunplay make for a compelling experience, while the deep progression system and strong focus on co-op keep players coming back for more. However, fans of deep narratives and groundbreaking visuals might want more due to the game's repetitive nature.

Borderlands 4 isn’t just a return to form, it feels like the natural evolution of the series. A solid story, best-in-class side quests, rewarding loot, and some of the most creative Vault Hunter designs yet make this entry stand tall. It manages to respect the chaotic fun that defined the earlier games while laying down a stronger, more focused foundation for the future. For long time fans like me, this is the Borderlands we’ve been waiting for since 2.

Nine Noir Lives is a fantastic contemporary take on the Point and Click genre. It masterfully blends comedy with intrigue, which culminate together in a captivating and suspenseful story. The characters are equally as entertaining, and are expertly performed by a talented array of voice actors. Artistically, the hand painted backdrops are absolutely stunning, and composer Travis Ford DeCastro does an immaculate job of complementing them through his music. For fans old and new to the genre, you owe it to yourself to play this game.
