Aug 12, 2024A wonderfully silly little quest, Leximan feels like a love letter to anyone who’s ever played an RPG. Killer writing brings humour and warmth to its simple adventure gameplay, while a whirlwind tour of genre-spanning minigames provide constant variety that surprises and delights. Despite some occasional wonky controls and slightly under-utilised Lexicon mechanics, its iconic encounters and clever use of wordplay make this magical journey a pleasure to experience.

Aug 16, 2024I’ve never played anything quite like Leximan, and I’m not sure I ever will again. But I am hugely grateful a game this unashamedly silly exists, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of a giggle.

Aug 12, 2024Leximan is one of the most unique games I’ve played in a long time. It’s a love letter to old-school gaming and retro fans are sure to appreciate the genre medley. While a few points felt a bit clunky or unclear, the humour and unique gameplay shines through and though it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, I’m glad I played it.
