After the Fall plays great on the PS5, I have no complaints about the performance or visuals at all. It is thoroughly engaging, addicting, and a blast to play from start to finish. And “finish” isn’t even the right word, as the horde mode and additional difficulties available make this a game you could potentially stick with forever. With an incredibly strong line-up of launch titles on the PS VR2, After the Fall earns itself a spot in your library.

After the Fall from Vertigo Games is a wonderful jumpstart to the PSVR 2 starting line-up. It has some fun zombie shooting times, great upgrades, and reasons to revisit the game, but falls short in substance in some areas. It is worth your time if you’re looking for a good VR experience.

At the time of launch, I’m incredibly impressed with what Vertigo Games has delivered. I want to spend some time hunting zombie-sicles with my friends to really get a handle on how the game plays with friends, but this already feels like a can’t-miss entry into Sony’s PSVR2 platform.

Despite a disappointing lack of variety that holds it back from achieving shooter greatness, After The Fall: Complete Edition is a welcome addition to the PSVR2’s launch lineup. Offering an exciting blend of punchy, zombie-blasting co-op gunplay that takes full advantage of the strengths of Sony’s new headset and a satisfying progression system, it’s a game no fan of Left 4 Dead should miss.

After the Fall is ultimately a fun co-op shooter with very solid gunplay, penalized along the way by a general lack of variety. Net of a sustained pace, which winks at the classic arcade light gun shooter, the Vertigo Games title can also be enjoyable for the players more sensitive to motion sickness, thanks to the numerous options available for comfort. The polished Complete Edition for PSVR 2 can also benefit from the technical upgrades of the viewer, starting from the exceptional haptic feedback of the Sense controllers which manages to restore an even more visceral feeling to the use of weapons. Having a focus on multiplayer, the lifecycle of the game will largely depend on post-launch support and user traffic on the servers, which we hope thanks to cross play will remain good, at least in the medium term. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to play a Left 4 Dead emulator in virtual reality, After the Fall is simply the right choice.

After the Fall is a solid VR shooter that delivers a thrilling, albeit repetitive, experience. The game's immersive world and satisfying gunplay make for a compelling experience, while the deep progression system and strong focus on co-op keep players coming back for more. However, fans of deep narratives and groundbreaking visuals might want more due to the game's repetitive nature.

Aping great co-op shooters like Left 4 Dead but in the VR space, After the Fall provides a fun yet fleeting experience that could do with more to do.

I really liked Left 4 Dead, and this one is a lot better game for me, thanks to VR. On PSVR2 this game truly shines. Controls are spot on,I really liked Left 4 Dead, and this one is a lot better game for me, thanks to VR. On PSVR2 this game truly shines. Controls are spot on, graphics are really great and game is very immersive thanks to adaptive triggers and haptics. Feeling of holding guns and manualy reloading them is fantastic (you can also reload them with more simple way, by getting it near your chest, but I liked manual reload better and you're getting 50% more damage that way). It took me 8 hours to complete every map, but there is strong replay value. You can play every map with other players, try other modes like horde and deathmatch, teamdeathmach, complete levels on different difficulties, unlock new weapons and tools and upgrade them in various ways. It's must have for every PSVR, especially if you like zombies or L4D. Expand
