After the Fall is a fine VR-shooter if you're up for blasting some zombies with your friends. The gunplay is good and the Snowbreeds that are coming to kill you will haunt your nightmares. It's a shame the game lacks variety and is pretty short to boot.

The fun level will tumble off a cliff after the first few hours for many players, but future updates just might help this become the game it wants to be. [Issue#10, p.81]

After the Fall is not unpleasant, but the whole thing is far too generic and all-purpose to leave its mark on the PlayStation VR toy library.

After the Fall is a fun co-op zombie shooter in VR, but with a lack of content at launch, awkwardly randomised attachment unlocks, and constantly separating parties between levels, it's not without issues. I really want to love After the Fall and, honestly, I would be at peace with all of its flaws if it had more content.

After The Fall fills a hole in the VR market that’s been empty for far too long. It’s a polished, engaging shooter that will get its hooks into you after even just a few of its Harvest Runs thanks to the remarkable ease with which you can find friends to play with on any headset. But it’s also true that this is a mechanically straightforward shooter that’s closer to the breezy simplicity of Arizona Sunshine than it is the rivals that have long since surpassed Vertigo’s original VR hit. But that’s a calculated decision, and one that will likely work in After The Fall’s favor as it seeks to grow as large a userbase as possible. The verdict’s not quite in yet, but After The Fall might just be the co-op VR shooter to beat.

It's a shame that we can't play alone, but together as a team, the gameplay is simply more fun and enjoyable. In addition, there are great graphics and an excellent sound. Those who would like to play with VR should definitely take a closer look at "After the Fall". Expand
