There he lies imprisoned in the Valley of Storms, where the four great kingdoms of humans, orcs, elves, and dwarves intersect. From the Valley's heart, he spreads evil throughout the kingdoms, determined to extinguish any light of hope for all who call this world home.

Storms, monsters, plagues, strife, and great dragons beset the land - it will require strength and courage to defeat Alaloth in his prison.

Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms is a skill-driven ARPG game inspired by such classics as Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity. Set in a rich fantasy world, resembling the darkest period of the Middle Ages, the game offers fast-paced action with a deep narrative.

Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms is a bold, heartfelt tribute to classic isometric action-RPGs. Its souls-like combat demands dedication and strategic planning, while the open world of Plamen delivers dozens of hours of dungeons, lore, and emergent surprises. Minor technical rough edges and a steep learning curve do little to diminish its retro spirit or solid PC performance. A must-play for fans of challenging, old-school RPG adventures.

Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms is a well thought out mix of retro graphics and narrative with modern isometric and souls like combat, something veterans of Baldur's Gate will love.

Distilling some of the magic of the 90s, Alaloth provides an unassuming trip down the memory lane.

Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms is one of the most intriguing role-playing games released in recent years. While some design choices, such as the Soulslike combat system that doesn't work too well with Diablolike enemy encounters in the current version of the game, impact the experience, Gamera Interactive blended elements of both traditional and modern RPGs rather well, creating an experience that is more than worthy of any RPG fan's time.

A great action RPG, challenging, stimulating and full of passion. It has room for improvement, but if this is just the beginning we will see some great things.

Alaloth Champions of the Four Kingdoms is a huge and incredibly detailed world. Sure, you have to turn a blind eye to a technical sector that is not in line with modern standards and some imperfections on the gameplay front, but once you overcome this obstacle you find yourself in front of an old school game that, just like the RPGs of the past, succeeds in capturing the player in a loop of exploration and combat, so much so as to push him to avoid the final battle to spend more time around Plamen.

Alaloth has shortcomings, but is pretty addictive at the same time. If you care mostly about gameplay and character development, and the storyline is not that important for you, you will have a great time.

The graphics and scenery are breathtaking, and interface is neat and tidy. The soundtracks are fitting in every scene. The game is worth re-playing at least once, and maybe more. Expand

I know it is in early acess but they say that the main story is completed... so let's talk about that. There is no single NPC that acts as a story companion. They fight with you. That's it. Do you want a big adventure like in Baldur? Memorable Companions? Forget it. I would even argue that there is no story in the game. Setting? Yes. World building? Yup. Great lore and stuff. But story? No... your character is just there in the world and needs to find 4 pieces of something and fight the bad guy. It's like a really big... fetch quest. There is no mystery, no turn, no... nothing. There is a guy... in the middle of the map. Your quest is to fight him. End.

Frome feature pov there are a lot of bugs, really weird design choices (who the hell thought that lack of mouse control in menus is a good idea?), the game is totally unbalanced and stuff like that. But it's EA. I would forgive all that if there would be an epic adventure somewhere there. But there is not.

Sadly it feels like empty shell.
