Jul 21, 2025As it is free to play, and Waterzooi put so much thought and love into it, I highly recommend this game. It is also a brilliantly interactive way to discover Ensor’s visual and musical works, and serves as a gateway into appreciating modern expressionism.

Sep 8, 2025What if you combined the work of James Ensor with "Where's Wally?" The answer: one of the most entertaining puzzle games of recent years. Now the game—made in Belgium!—is also available for the Nintendo Switch.

May 12, 2025We're keen to see Waterzooi stretch himself on his next gallery jaunt, but we'd recommend getting your hands on this one regardless.

May 16, 2025Please, Touch The Artwork 2 is a playful and poignant journey through the surreal world of James Ensor, inviting players to explore and interact with iconic paintings in surprising, meaningful ways. With its charming skeleton protagonist and clever object-finding mechanics, the game transforms fine art into an accessible, emotionally resonant experience.

Jul 6, 2025Please, Touch The Artwork 2 may follow the path of its predecessor but the creativity and originality in this sequel give us a more bold and ambitious experience than we could have expected and the result is a merging of atmosphere with addictive gameplay that makes this game truly stand out. While the main puzzle gameplay mechanic may feel a bit repetitive, Please, Touch The Artwork 2 goes beyond to put up an experience that allows us to explore the artworks at hand as freely as we like.

Jul 24, 2025Please, Touch The Artwork 2 has a few original concepts, like making many paintings feel connected, but the gameplay is uninteresting, slow and sometimes annoying. It may be a game for art lovers, but gamers are probably better off looking elsewhere.
