Overall, “Horizon Chase” is an absolute joy to play. Its combination of stunning visuals, engaging music, and accessible yet challenging gameplay makes it a standout in the arcade racing genre. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick race or a longer session tackling the World Tour, the game is always ready to provide a good time. It’s the kind of game that you can easily pick up for a few minutes or lose yourself in for hours. With its variety of modes and multiplayer options, it’s a game that will keep you coming back for more.

Centum is not a game for everyone, but for those who appreciate psychological horror, esoteric storytelling, and challenging puzzles, it’s a must-play. With its eerie atmosphere, thought-provoking design, and compelling mystery, Centum proves that horror doesn’t need to rely on cheap tricks to be truly terrifying. If you’re looking for a game that will haunt you long after the credits roll, Centum is worth your time. Note that I only want to include screenshots from the very first scenes as they portray the style and atmosphere that is set throughout the experience without spoiling anything ahead of you if you wish to experience it yourself.

Somber Echoes succeeds, for the most part, in crafting a unique tale of sci fi horror and mythology. A captivating story, a great movement system and solid combat will satisfy fans of the Metroidvania genre and keep them coming back for more with multiple endings to unlock. It’s a shame though that middling story presentation and some areas being too dark will result in frustrations for players along the way. I can really admire and respect the developers for taking a leap of faith with this game. More games need to take narrative swings like this!

Coromon has so much going on, but it’s not difficult to play. This game is just really entertaining and fully engaging with plenty of challenging battles between creatures you capture and train. It’s got so many different paths that will set up as you continue to play, cause each choice you decide will create the journey you’ll need to continue on to complete the game. I feel that this game is really something worth playing. It’s perfect for all styles of gamers, beginners to expert RPG gamers, and will keep you playing over and over again and again.

Once again, I am not a fan of J-RPGs personally. However, I didn’t hate my time with Jack Move at all. I would credit this feeling mostly to the art and music. They were certainly excellent. The gameplay while staying true to the J-RPG roots, offers a bit of its own variety. I’m glad it’s a short game because if it were longer, it might’ve overstayed its welcome. I’d suggest Jack Move to anyone wanting to give a short to J-RPGs, since it could be too easy of a game for a fan of the genre.

The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a clever critique of the global pandemic that hasn’t quite gone away, told through the lens of late medieval Germany dealing with the bubonic plague. While it may seem as though technical and design snags have trampled my former compliments towards Tainted Grail, that is far from the case. Even if the experience doesn’t measure up to its idolized peers in terms of pure content, presentation, or popularity, the game’s efforts in occupying a similar philosophy to all-time greats is an aspiration often avoided by smaller studios. Not only this, but the unique storytelling, tone, and writing of Tainted Grail invested me in ways that many RPG staples never have. Even if bugs bound me to a choppy, imperfect experience, I more often than not found myself lost in the world of Avalon and what it had to offer me. Seeing Lora’s descent into despair and desperation was an interesting story choice since we aren’t playing the usual heroine. Her character has minor changes based on your dialog choices and the ending will change as well so replayability is relatively high for those interested in seeing the other paths play out. I got the winter ending and felt like that was a wonderful way to wrap up such a dreadful story. I clocked in around an hour and a half for my initial playthrough so it shouldn’t take long to see the credits roll for your first playthrough. Overall, Bloomtown: A Different Story is a compelling indie RPG that delivers a mix of heartwarming storytelling and engaging gameplay. It appeals to fans of life-simulation games and turn-based combat but requires patience to overcome its initial pacing issues. For those willing to embrace its quirks, Bloomtown offers a memorable and nostalgic summer adventure.

As much as I love the series I do think the next chapter should be the last. If they really wanted to I do think they could make way more chapters and honestly I wouldn’t complain because the games are great, but we all know that milking a franchise can come with some big drawbacks, and I don’t think Mob entertainment are silly enough to jeopardize the great reputation the series has built. But hey, I’m not going to complain if they make some spinoffs or even a few movies…

White Shadows is a dark and gritty Orwell-inspired puzzle platformer. You must explore a grim industrial dystopia that will send chills down your spine. It comprises excellent ideas but it fails to evolve in the latter stages.

Simply put, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle: The Order Of Giants continues the original game’s perfection with another brilliant story of mystery, action and comedic moments along the way. New and fantastic thought provoking puzzles, coupled with perfect combat and platforming, make this additional story content a must play. I just wish it wasn’t as short as it ended up being. Indiana Jones has never been this good. Bethesda and Machine Games, I eagerly await/pray for a sequel to this magnificent game! Play it!

With such potential on show, it was disappointing that Aspire: Ina’s Tale didn’t go far enough. I desperately wanted to see it evolving, but this was never to be. The developers played it safe, and this was at the detriment of the end product. Though it could have been spectacular, it was still great, albeit very familiar.

I was desperate for Submerged: Hidden Depths to jump to the next level. Sadly, though, it rigidly sticks to its guns, and that was frustrating. Yes, it’s relaxing and rewarding when you collect every seed. However, I wanted more.

Overall, I really enjoyed Scott Pilgrim EX and think that Tribute Games Inc. did an amazing job! It may not be the same team that developed the first game, but I hope that fans of the franchise enjoy it nonetheless. There’s mayhem, multiplayer, and a whole lot of enemies to brawl. I don’t have much to complain about, and the game genuinely surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Typically, I don’t go for side scrolling beat ’em ups. This one takes that genre and does so much more with it.

Leenzee has built an excellent foundation with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and proven themselves as worthy competitors in the soulslike space. Although the game may not deliver meaningful innovation, it was able to nail the trademark combat and exploration fans have grown to love. The future is bright for these developers, and a sequel could propel them to new heights.

I felt NIS Classics Volume 2 to be an excellent game with two to choose from and full of new content to explore and discover. If this is the first time playing the game, it may all be new. Nevertheless, I found them to be a wonderful pair to have in one game. Especially how they are slightly similar in the style of gameplay as well as their large amount of levels to play through. Both also being perfect RPG games that bring plenty of entertaining battle scenes and maps to investigate. Of course, there are a few issues, but other than that, it’s not a bad game collection.

Windjammers 2 is a complete blast that excels in the same way that the original 1994 neo geo title did and with the local and online modes it really is an easy recommendation for fun pick-up-and-play evenings with others, but there are just a few niggling gameplay issues that prevent this from fulfilling its full potential.

Highwater is an incredible adventure title that doesn't break the mould. However, the chilling parody to our future existence will rock you to the core. Furthermore, the cruel social divide and the post-apocalyptic world are horrific. As such, this is a dark and tough-to-swallow title.

Lost Records Bloom & Rage is another gem in the now revered catalogue of Don’t Nod Entertainment. Sporting a set of characters that are so wonderful, and propelled by powerful voice acting, the tale will stay long in memory. Gorgeous visuals and a superb soundtrack help make this game a beauty to behold. The camcorder gameplay mechanic is a fantastic addition to an otherwise solid, if not spectacular gameplay design. Whilst the main plot can get bogged down by some minor issues, the characters themselves help seal this game as another memorable adventure.
