There's a charming art style and wholesomeness to Rolling Hills that's immediately captivating, and we've been pretty surprised by the level of depth that it provides - it's still a simple game, but the ability to explore beyond the confines of the restaurant was something we hadn't expected, and various aspects of the gameplay continue to evolve over time as well. The loop of serving customers, buying new ingredients and decorating your restaurant is an addictive one, and it's all backed up by a superb soundtrack that's become firmly stuck in our heads.

Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is a life simulator in which we will put ourselves in the shoes of little Sushibot, a high-tech robot who dreams of becoming a great culinary star, and his great opportunity to do so appears when the happy ones Rolling Hills residents are looking for someone capable of running their sushi restaurant.

Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is a cute adventure title that is addictive, enjoyable, and full of loveable characters. Furthermore, it is manageable, and it is included with Xbox Game Pass. The only negative is the grind. However, this is a minor issue and doesn't detract from the experience.

There is no denying that Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is what would be considered a cosy game. Its cutesy graphics and relaxing gameplay are definitely there, but the social aspect and even the customisation of the cooking is lacking. Everything is just a bit too passive really.
