Hard but never unfair, short but intense, classic but well-made, Gunborg: Dark Matters has all the charm of a small indie production. Only the lack of content tarnishes the final balance sheet. Between the lifespan limited to two or three hours if one does not seek to maximize the scores and the shyness of the narration, Gunborg necessarily leaves an aftertaste of too little.

Pokémon Art Academy is a good mix between Pokémon and New Art Academy, which tended to propose maybe too classical drawings. Here, you really enjoy trying to create something good with some precise instructions and hundreds of creatures to draw. But once you're out of the Lessons Mode and free to draw what you want, the difficulty raises inevitably, so you'll need several hours of training to produce something nice. Hopefully you have a 3DS XL available.

For less than 15 euros, Techland gives us an honest game which can stand the comparison with blockbusters. The developers took great care in making a nice environment through the use of cel-shading for graphics, music, and the voice that makes the game entertaining. But Call of Juarez Gunslinger ain't faultless. The game is quite short, the AI and the dullness of the gameplay are serious faults. Gunslinger is an arcade title that you should play like an arcade game: intensively and quickly!

Top Spin is back in 2024. An almost surreal phrase after 13 years of absence. And yet, through persistence and belief, the best tennis game of all time is back, and it does not disappoint. It must be said that 2K Games and Hangar 13 took as few risks as possible, by resuming the basics of Top Spin 4 gameplay. Readjustments and some modifications were however made to give more consistency and depth, and erase the few aspects that could still be improved, such as serving, volleying and a clear increase in fouls or balls going out of bounds. It was the best compromise to make in any case, as the gameplay was already divine at the time and has reached unparalleled heights today. More than ever, timing and placement must be managed to the millimeter to be sure to hit exactly and in the right place, which guarantees an even crazier margin for progress, even when you were already a top spin 4 leader. With Top Spin 2K25, never has a tennis game been so varied in its exchanges, and the fluidity of its rhythm.

If you have taken the time to read our article, you have noticed that there are many negative points with Rise of the Ronin, but the game also has good arguments for its defense and to assert itself in relation to the competition, starting with its gameplay, which is the main thing in a video game. Obviously, the game will suffer from comparison with Ghost of Tsushima, which, whatever anyone says, redefined samurai games. Sucker Punch's game was not perfect, but its open world was much better controlled, more enchanting, more captivating and above all more interesting to explore. Rise of the Ronin is a test attempt on the side, with an empty open world, quite flat and ultimately not very interesting to discover. Technically too, it doesn't keep up, and it's even very weak, especially when we know that it is a game developed exclusively on PS5 and that it still required 9 years of production. Team Ninja still has a lot to prove in the field of open world games, but manages to interest people through the richness of its gameplay and its numerous possibilities. Whereas most of sport games are going next gen (FIFA, NBA 2K, NBA LIVE), others like WWE are aiming at current gen improvements. A nice initiative, and improvements have been made for this WWE 2K14 which display a crazy casting. With over 100 wrestlers in the game, there is material to play for quite some time with that game which also displays better animations. Those are not breathtaking but it has to be mentioned since it's in a transition title. On the graphics side, it's a disappointment, the wrestlers are badly made with ugly textures and a creepy public. Thankfully the ambiance around the ring is pretty neat and largely compensate for technical problems even if those bugs and dated gameplay would require an update. Star Wars Outlaws could have been a wonderful game, but the lack of polish in its gameplay prevents it from being one of the best. Between Kay Vess's somewhat floating inertia, gunplay that's a little too soft at the start of the adventure (it gets better later on), poorly balanced infiltration and really poor enemy A.I., Massive Entertainment's title is also guilty of some questionable choices in its game design. The game does, however, have some really good arguments to tip the balance in its favor, starting with its total and successful immersion. Moving from planet to planet with total freedom is an invitation to travel, not to mention the fact that each location has its own unique biome. Star Wars Outlaws also takes advantage of Massive's Snowdrop Engine to deliver splendid, impressive and often spectacular graphics. Speaking of spectacular, the space battles are another of the game's great successes, as is the soundtrack, which accompanies the game's situations with great accuracy. And if the beginning of the adventure clearly lacks panache, the game takes off in its final third, to our great delight.

Ovosonico, the studio behind Murasaki Baby, gives us a pretty fable full of emotions. Inspired by the movie "Groundhog Day", Last Day of June is a game with seductive graphics and unusual gameplay. Our favorite game of this summer.

If Ghostwire Tokyo does not escape the "one more open world" syndrome, this is almost its only default. If the general structure is undeniably classic, the environment is fortunately much less so. The districts of Tokyo are faithfully represented, and exotic for us Westerners, while the morbid supernatural bestiary from Japanese folklore really does not lack charm.

With its dirty and stressful universe, its wonderful artistic direction and the impressive bosses, Tango Gameworks' game teaches a lesson to Capcom's Resident Evil. A true sequel to Resident Evil 4, believe us.

Get Even could have been a great game but it suffers from too many flaws to be able to really capitalize on it's strengths. It still offers a good narrative and amazing sound.

Even if Concrete Genie offers nice arty visuals, and a good freedom in the murals we can paint, most of the other aspects are let downs, from the gameplay to the level design and the narrative.

Mixing influences such as Canabalt, Broforce, Hotline Miami and Gunpoint, not a hero sadly misses to get the most out of this quite prestigious list of games. In spite of an oriented sense of humor and a weird story, the game manages to be quite joyful with a nervous gameplay and a good replay value thanks to the random character system.

Overall, GRID : Autosport ain't a bad game, but it sticks to recycling the gameplay of Racedriver GRID and the graphics of GRID 2. The content is scarce at start and the AI is an example of what not to do. All this was expected as the game spent less than a year in development, but still, selling a stand alone DLC for the price of a full game is a but daring. The loss of customisation for cars is a major down from previous episodes. Overall the game still proves worthy but it surely wont seduce much besides the ip's fanboys. The best way is still to get GRID 1 & 2 during some sale.

Star trek Bridge Crew is a must have for all serious Trekkie out there with an immaculate respect to the IP. On the other hand, most players will find the game repetitive and quickly boring due to the limited gameplay.

Without being a revolution of the first game, Attack on Titan 2 is a nice evolution that packs enough new stuff to rejuvenate the game. On the downside, the gameplay is still quite repetitive, but that can be due to the game closely matching the manga.

Certainly, DiRT Showdown is not the best racing game of 2012. However, Codemasters proves it knows how to develop a good one. If there's nothing bad to say regarding its content, choices in terms of gameplay can be questioned. indeed, some good ol' drivers could easily fall asleep whereas newcomers will enjoy the spectacular races DiRT Showdown has to offer, introducing a new social network, Racenet, to the multiplayer mode.

This return is a success! Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time keeps doing what the former games of the series did very well : very colourful graphics, great direction and skilled platform levels. New characters, introduces by Sanzaru Games, are more a good idea than a bad one. And the lack of challenge is quickly forgotten because of a deep content and an hilarious adventure.

Capcom could have played it lazy for this Remake of Duck Tales, but the Japanese studio instead decided to pay tribute to one of it's most mythic games of the Famicom Era, by bringing us this fully reimagined version of the game. Sure, some things haven't changed like the gameplay or the levels that made its success, but the work on the visuals is such a bliss, and the new content surely enough too keep you entertained, even 20 years after the first dip in that adventure which left us so many memories. And for the younger players, it's the right time to discover an excellent platformer game.

With such an imbalanced gameplay/narrative ratio, South of the Circle clearly won't appeal to everyone. The few gameplay mechanics are really anecdotal, so much so that even the choice system does not lead to different ends as tradition dictates. It is imperative to approach this production from the angle of the essentially narrative adventure, or even squarely to place oneself in the spirit "I am watching a nice animated film of 3h30".

If Shenmue 1 & 2 are still great games, this so-called remaster is barely a lousy port, with plenty of bugs and and technical problems. The only improvement is 1080p display and a few new content, but overall, Shenmue 1 & 2 HD doesn't deserve your hard earned cash.

Iron Harvest is quite a nice RTS (which is a rare thing ATM), and even if we can find a few hiccups with the AI and more specifically it's pathfinding, we can expect some updates to correct all of this. Seven years after the last Company of Heroes, it's great to see some new faces.
