Watch Dogs: Legion a true Ubisoft experience, with all its good and bad sides. The open world has a good feel to it, but the fact that you can play any random character has definitely taken a toll on the game's soul which feels a bit shallow now.

The Gunk is a very good independent title that offers graphics that have nothing to envy to big AAA productions. It's a shame though that the game only lasts 5 hours, that the gameplay doesn't evolve much and that it lacks epic moments. Fortunately, it's released on Xbox Game Pass and that fixes a lot of issues.

Although The Sims 4 brings a few new features, namely the emotion system, it can only make the early fans unhappy and disappointed. Electronic Arts erased many elements and features that were essential and representative of the saga. And we already know that EA will sell them in a few months, included inside expansive expansion packs.

Assassin's Creed Unity is a clear step forward for the IP with an impressive level design. The Paris of the French Revolution is an ideal setting, and Ubisoft's teams have put up an amazing work with harder assassinations, tougher fights and, of course, the co-op mode. It's not a bad idea to bring some new stuff into the tactical genre. Above all, when it's done by such a talented studio that Intelligent Systems. However, gameplay here is far too irregular to be a new standard. As all their productions, Codename S.T.E.A.M. requires a high level of focus and anticipation to master the battlefield. There's Ghost of Tsushima, Sifu and Limbo in this Trek to Yomi! And yet the proposal remains quite singular. The voices only available in Japanese, the graphics entirely in black and white, and the cinematographic filters which voluntarily dirty the image form a coherent whole, which will inevitably appeal to fans of old samurai films. The game lacks a bit of scale, but we still have a great time in his company.

The absence of an RPG mode that fans were waiting for, will be difficult for Big N to explain, as much as the online features that only propose classic meetings to enjoy with friends. With Cobra Space Adventure, Microids adds yet another stain to an already troubled track record. One might have hoped that passion and love for Buichi Terasawa’s work could transcend a shoestring budget, but the reality is brutally clear: Cobra marks a botched comeback, bland and lifeless. Outdated graphics, shameful animations, clunky gameplay, nonexistent staging… nothing manages to lift the game out of mediocrity, aside from a handful of decent ideas tied to the Psychogun. What makes it all the more depressing is that Cobra deserved so much better. Its rich, timeless universe had the potential for a bold adaptation, one that could have captivated both nostalgic fans of the ’80s and a brand-new audience. Instead, what we get is a soulless production that honors neither its source material nor the player. In 2025, it’s unacceptable to charge $40 for a game that looks and plays like a free mobile title you’d stumble upon on the AppStore or Google Play.

However, even if the game takes up all the codes of EA's survival horror with its stressful atmosphere, perfectly mastered, and its really enjoyable gore side, The Callisto Protocol also innovates thanks to its melee combat system, which allows interesting combinations and obliges you to plan your battle plan well, otherwise you will be quickly overwhelmed. As a huge fan of Lego games, I've been disappointed by The LEGO Movie Videogame. Of course the title aims at seducing young fans of the film, but is it a reason to ruin the content and the direction? Of course we find humor, platforming riddles and stuff to collect which became the renown of previous titles, but the result is not quite as enjoyable. If we limit ourselves to the bad direction, the crappy music, the bugs and lags will still be enough to displease most achievement hunters. Frederick Raynal's new game is a pretty good re-imagining of the genre he spawned with Alone in the Dark. 25 years later, this 2Dark focuses on human deviances while stepping away from the traditional blood bath and supernatural stuff. A pretty good game that still creeps players out.

Most likely developed during Ubisoft Montreal's coffe breaks, Tetris Ultimate is quite a bad game. With 4 pitiful game modes and a limited appeal, the games is a cheap ripoff of Tetris DS that came out in 2006. If you want to buy a Tetris game on a portable Nintendo system go for Tetris DS or Tetris 3DS.

In spite of many bugs, Pure Farming 2018 is a worthy alternative to Farming Simulator, but the franchise from Focus Home Interactive ultimately remains the best.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is Square Enix's answer to the limited hardware power packed by the Nintendo Switch. The game has simplified graphics, and a more linear approach, but still makes it a worthy option for people who can't experience FFXV on a more powerful platform.

Sadly, MediEvil hasn't changed enough since it's genesis to seduce the modern gamer. If the graphics are updated and the music still awesome, the dated gameplay and the framerate drops are too much to bear.

This new Fatal Frame gets the atmosphere right, makes the player uneasy. That's a pretty good point to start with for a horror game. But once you're in control, it becomes awful to play and offers no perspective of new challenge to force the player to go forward.

Forced Showdown is a clever little game that skillfully mixes action elements to a card game core, providing a lot of fun. Only the lack of any multiplayer mod is a real drawback. If you're a solo player you won't regret spending your money.

The King's Bird tries to be Gris, but the poetic aspect is ruined by a lack of accuracy in the gameplay, a weird way to unfold the story and huge peaks in difficulty.

Obviously, Sniper Elite V2 keeps trying in the same way as the first episode : seven years later, it shows the same qualities and makes the same mistakes. The shooting system is still very fun, almost addictive, and the fans will be glad to discover the new Kill Cam. But it's not enough to hide poor graphics, lack of a true narrative side and some new features of arguable quality. Its low price could however convince some of you to try the experience.

If Steel Rats does offer an unexpected gameplay and a tough challenge, this all comes at the expense of pure fun. Seen what's available on the indie scene at the moment, you can easily find a better use for your dough.

We had placed a lot of hope in this Gotham Knights. The adventure was pleasant but too imperfect, interesting but not legendary enough; especially for a license around the Dark Knight, even without him in the title role. Too bad then. It is therefore high time for him to come back, and in the most beautiful way.

Far from being a masterpiece, Assassin's Creed Chronicles China suffers from a difficulty level that's way too low, and a heavy inspiration from Mark of the Ninja. Nonetheless, the game brings some fun along, and fans of the IP should most likely enjoy it.

Outward is a true old-school RPG with feels as well-rounded as the best games from the past but also as dated, as the technical side of things isn't really up-to-date. If you can forget about the wrapping and focus on its internals, Outward is clearly worth a shot.

NASCAR 14 is a game solely made for the hardcore fans, if you're not fond of stock car racing avoid this game which tops boring gameplay with some truly appalling graphics. You drive in circles for hours while avoiding the sidewall with the steering as your only past time. With no need to use the gearbox or the brake, you can only imagine what you're left with during the 400 laps of a race, and it's not the trash grindcore soundtrack that will keep you awake. On the other hand, if you love NASCAR and think that F1, WRC, Endurance racing or DTM is for hipsters, Eutechnyx's title is what you want thanks to its immense content and the race atmosphere's fidelity.
