How did Ubisoft manage to take 6 months to port the PS3/X360 versions of Watch Dogs onto the Wii U? A very long wait that's justified by nothing when we see the low quality of the graphics and the lack of improvements whatsoever. It might be worth a try to those who only own a Wii U and hence will never experience GTA 5.

Now that we’ve finished Lost Soul Aside, it’s clear that the game is far from the disaster many claimed on social media. After more than twenty hours of play, it’s obvious that Yang Bing’s project (started as a student hobby and later turned into an industrial-scale production with Sony’s support) retains all its passion and identity in its gameplay, even if some peripheral aspects aren’t as polished. At the heart of the game lies its dynamic combat system, rich in possibilities. The four weapons (longsword, greatsword, double spear, and scythe) each offer distinct approaches, which can be combined into fluid, spectacular combos, made accessible through mechanics like perfect parries and the assist system that activates after multiple deaths. The draconic companion Arena adds another strategic and visually impressive dimension, turning battles into true aerial ballets. Yet, the game is not without flaws. The graphics, while generally basic, feel like a previous-generation title, suffering from an uneven and sometimes questionable art direction, as well as occasionally repetitive environments. The storytelling and character charisma are limited, and platforming sections can be frustrating due to the hero’s slightly floaty physics. The English voice acting is also disappointing, making it strongly recommended to stick to the Chinese original or the Japanese voices, which are much better executed. Despite these shortcomings, Lost Soul Aside succeeds where many modern action games fail: it delivers immediate, pure fun, with a gratifying combat system and combos that grow richer as you progress. For fans of fast-paced hack-and-slash, it’s an experience not to be underestimated. Perhaps not worth €70, but definitely closer to €40, let’s be honest.

Worms Battlegrounds' shot goes wide. Clearly. It never takes the advantage from the power of Xbox One and PS4, and even makes us nostalgic of the old Worms. That would be forgivable if the game had avoided some technical issues in the collisions and the AI. It's still fun when you play with your mates though.

With a very well made atmosphere, a good storyline and a high quality Jazz soundtrack, Compulsion Game's title takes the player in a very seductive world. But the true strong point of the game is in its addictive gameplay, the possibility to shift between 2D and 3D serves both the game and the story by providing us with a peep of the real world, seen through a game of shadows. Without being flawless, Contrast manages to be a very good platform game that will win the hearts of most gamers for sure.

We believed in Lost Planet 3. Capcom wanted to come back to the origins of the series, focusing on solo mode and had some good arguments to get us absorbed again by the planet EDN-III's atmosphere. Everything is here: a nice character, efficient gameplay, and interesting content. But nothing really makes Lost Planet 3 a really big game. Graphics aren't that impressive, really commonplace and the game lacks of rhythm and epic moments. Nowhere near the first episode.

Lionhead's latest production could have been a great game. Unlike many titles powered by Kinect, Fable: The Journey has beautiful graphics, an orchestral score and interesting characters. As usual, the British studio manages to create compelling stories and a "easy to reach" gameplay but Kinect ruins them all. Driving the horse-drawn carriage is pleasant, but as soon as Gabriel sets foot upon the floor for action stages, the gameplay becomes a nightmare. Thought as a tribute to a period when video games were simple, it can sometimes be compared to a shoot'em up where shooting and moving continuously is highly vital. Too bad, however, that its very uneven realization prevents it from living up to today's standards.

Since we played Jump Force at E3 2018, we knew it would be a bad game, but we couldn't have guessed it would be so messed up. The game is technically obsolete, the art direction is awful and the gameplay is limited. As for the single player campaign, it will disgust you for good.

Drawn to Death has a good Artistic touch but the lack of balance between characters and the fact that the servers are almost always empty makes it hard for us to recommend this game that's most enjoyable when played in multiplayer mode.

Tennis World Tour 2 has come a long way from the previous opus, with the use of timing-based gameplay. Lots of it is still wrong, from the ball physics to the way players slide on the ground, but the improvement is so massive that we're actually expecting to see a Tennis World Tour 3.

Predator Hunting Grounds is just another mediocre asymmetric multiplayer shooter, which suffers from appalling graphics. It's a pity as there are some good ideas, albeit ruined by all that's wrong in the game.

How hard it is to judge this cross-media experience. It's an unbalanced mix between four amazing short animation films, whom half have been made by Japanese masters, and one of the worst games of this year. Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is a visual failure with a more than simple and unpleasant gameplay. Even with an hour of game, travel across ten levels without any satisfaction or any feeling that you're moving forward is a huge frustration. The short films save its fate.

Instead of improving Ghost Recon Wildland's mechanics, Ghost Recon Breakpoint tries to mix all the aspects of the trending genres, like survival, looting, RPG elements, crafting, and microtransactions. Overall the mix is way to messy to hook us up, and it feels like a badly-cooked meal.

We thought that Star Wars Kinect would be the best Kinect game ever since we saw it at E3 2010, but it is just slightly more than a casual game using the Microsoft's camera. Big deception.

Sniper Ghost Warrior goes open world, and if the result shows a lack of budget, CI Games isn't Ubisoft or Rockstar. Still a good sniping game for players who have beaten Sniper Elite 4.

Crimson Dragon will probably hit its public among the fans of Panzer Dragoon, who will enjoy the old-school gameplay and atmosphere. On the other hand, gamers who just bought an Xbox One to experience new things or at least awesome graphics are in for a big disappointment: Crimson Dragon could have been an Xbox 360 game. That was the initial plan before it was delayed to the next gen system. In spite of a good artistic lead, the graphics are quite poor, the levels are very short and the railed cam is coming from another era. Happily, for 20€, the RRP of this digital exclusive stays quite reasonable.

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 is, exactly as the first one was, a bad Dynasty Warriors-like, only saved by its background. Fortunately, this kind of game is disappearing. Obsolete graphics and game mechanics will make you feel very tired after only few hours playing. You'll get it only if you're a very tolerant fan for its high fidelity to the manga.

Rune Factory surely has some qualities with its long game experience and its colorful and aquatic universe that players will enjoy crossing thanks to the introduction of the Golem. However, the ones that usely play the IP to satisfy their farmer spirit, will be disappointed to see that all the hard work has been given to the mobs, the players' role consisting in checking if they have enough cookies to eat. Hopefully, fight sequences remain entertaining, yet repetitive.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games leaves us unsatisfied, even with its not so big ambitions. Even so, there is no excuse for this permanent lack of precision and this very inappropriate latency. Ice hockey and curling will probably make you smile, and graphics aren't that bad, but those are almost the only arguments the game can have.

Clearly not as good as a Call of Duty regarding its main campaign, or a Battlefield regarding the multiplayer modes, Warfighter remains a good game despite not being as innovative as players wanted it to be. Frosbite 2 may propose a pleasant visual experience, especially on PC, but it is not enough to create any form of enthusiasm, especially with its linear storyline. However, players will eventually find some kind of pleasure with its well-balanced and explosive gameplay.

Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia is clearly a fan-product with lots of content from the manga but very little appeal in terms of videogaming. The worst drawback is the repetitive aspect of the game with chains fights and boring side quests.

Clearly too ambitious, Fade to Silence looses itself in the many things it tries, but ultimately fails, to achieve. Apart from the visuals, we can't really find anything appealing, from the rigid gameplay to the poor game design, and worst of all, that punishing permadeath system.

Once upon a time, Dimps was known and respected for the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series, that introduced a revolution in fighting games. Since then, the studio has created bad games, up to the point where we wonder if the same team is still working in the studio. Saint Seiya : Brave Soldiers never reaches the seventh sense, stuck with a bad realisation and a gameplay that shows its limits after two hours. Bandaï Namco's Game gained in dynamism and is much more spectacular than the PS2 episodes, but still, as one of the last games of the PS3 we expected better. The fanboys will enjoy the 60 characters and the OST but that will be their only sweet spot.

Whereas Knack does not justify buying a next gen console, this PS4 exclusive is not lacking interest. A clever mix between a nice classic gameplay, a very hard level of difficulty and cartoon graphics to go with the Disney-inspired scenario should get the attention of platform fans. Still plagued by a number of faults like a linear story and a badly set camera, Mark Cerny's game seduces us with its hard level and its uncommon hero. Loaded with badly-used qualities, this game is a call for a second opus which should have a better finish, more development time and a better knowledge of the console it's designed for.
