Fortnite feels a lot like Dungeon Keeper. It's a worthy game with interesting gameplay, and where everything is ruined by greedy monetization. The ripoff is less obvious than in EA's game but it's still a pain. We suggest waiting until 2018 when the game will be truly free-to-play.

Heavy Rain is the game which makes the most of this new Quantic Dream Collection, with better lights, the end of the blur effect and some clearly defined textures. The GRID series goes arcade with this new game. A ruthless and less exigent gameplay are proof that GRID 2 places itself between Gran Turismo and Need For Speed, leaning towards the arcade style of EA's title. In spite of a moderately interesting solo mode, mostly ruined by a criminal IA, the games scores back with a very fun multiplayer very old school inspired. The lack of real link between the two modes is actually a strength as one don't need to hit the solo to unlocks stuff in multiplayer. GRID 2 still carries the original's DNA but it focuses on arcade in order to seduce amateurs of racing games that want to avoir the tech malarkey.

Like its ancestor, Wargame: Red Dragon looks more like a DLC disguised as a stand-alone, than a real new game. If the fans like that opus, the majority of gamers will find no interest in this IP which is getting even harder to jump in. That being said, the Asian context of the solo campaign, and the arrival of sea units which enrich the gameplay are welcome additions. Like before, it's by going multiplayer that we'll see the effect of those units since the AI is still a bit of a mold. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Before you go and buy Dead Rising 3 ask yourself what you expect from the game. If you seek a fun sequel to Dead Rising 2, with some new things, then the game is for you, no hesitations. Still as fun as before and populated with a large number of zombies, it delivers a good dose of action. On the other hand, if you're hoping that this launch title stuns you with it's graphics or revolutionizes the franchise, you will be disappointed because it simply is not the case. PES 2014 shows that Konami knows exactly what they're aiming for and what to do to catch up with EA's FIFA. FOX Engine doesn't provide exactly what we were expecting from it, but it offers a real good physics engine. No need to say it will probably reach its peak on PS4 and Xbox One. We expected a lot from Dead Space 3 and were not disappointed. The game keeps all its promises, with true moments of tension proving that Visceral Games hasn’t betrayed the Dead Space series. Horror is there, and we have never seen such violent Necromorphs. This perfect balance between action sequences and anguish is efficient, avoiding Dead Space 3 making the same mistake as Resident Evil 6. But we must be honest with the fans: if the next Dead Space has more action scenes, there will be reason to fear the worst. Since it’s not a perfect game, it’s important to highlight the poor cover system and the lack of boss fights. Although the deep weapon crafting system is likely to annoy the purists, Dead Space 3 remains a great experience you have to live.

Fear is what it's all about and that's what you're going to find inside Mount Massive Asylum, and it already makes the game a success. With a very well made storyline in spite of a touchy ending, Outlast is definitely a reference title rivaling with Amnesia or Forbidden SIREN. In spite of some problems which are due to the tight development budget, hence the small retail price of 20€, the game will provide gamers with a deep dive into the most dark horrors, which will make you forget the minors faults that Red Barrels let slip pass. Pokémon Legends Z-A is a game that tries to shake up the franchise with some interesting ambitions, but unfortunately, the technical and artistic resources don’t keep up. Between a fresh urban setting that is poorly utilized, a struggling graphics engine, and archaic level design, the open-world experience is disappointing and fails to convince. The streets are empty, the buildings are rudimentarily cloned, flat textures and constant clipping make the city of Illumis feel like a cardboard movie set.Yet, not everything is bad. The real highlight of this episode is the real-time combat. Abandoning the classic turn-based system is a risky move, but here the gameplay gains pace and tension. Positioning, timing, and strategy take center stage, while the variety of attacks and the reintroduction of Mega Evolutions add tactical depth. On the other hand, all other aspects of the game fall short: the story is somewhat flat, side quests are repetitive and uninspired, and the overall art direction suffers from a glaring lack of personality. In the end, the game feels like an ambitious prototype, limited by an outdated graphics engine and insufficient resources. Younger players and long-time fans of the franchise will find enjoyment here, but for adult or more demanding players, the experience remains frustrating. It’s clear the franchise has potential to evolve, but Game Freak needs to seriously invest in its tools and design to deliver a truly modern Pokémon open-world game.

It's a strange feeling to play this Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The gaming experience is both exciting and frustrating. Exciting because replaying this adventure fifteen years ago has remained almost intact. Apart from a few aspects of the gameplay that have aged badly (because the gameplay was originally built for the Wiimote and Nunchunk) and its bosses that are still disappointing (like in 2010, it hasn't changed), the game still shines with its ingenious game design, its well-crafted level design and its gameplay that is still as square. Where Donkey Kong Country Returns HD disappoints is in its basic, almost lazy adaptation. Apart from the HD smoothing, it's the same game in every way, and it's true that in 2025, some models have aged. And then, we would have also liked Nintendo to offer us exclusive content for this Switch version, as was the case when the game was released on 3DS in 2013.

After spending over 110 hours in Pywel, there’s really no debate: Crimson Desert absolutely delivers on its promise of a massive open world. Pearl Abyss has built something huge and alive, with a real sense of freedom. You’re not constantly being guided, you have to observe, experiment, get lost and that’s honestly where the game shines. Content-wise, it’s massive. You’re looking at around 120 to 140 hours just for the main story, and easily up to 400 if you want to see everything. The combat system is also a big highlight, it’s deep, fast-paced, and pretty demanding, with tons of options. Every fight requires focus, but that’s exactly what makes it so satisfying. Visually, the game looks incredible, with a world that feels immersive and believable. That said, it’s not perfect: the difficulty can be pretty unforgiving, it takes time to really get comfortable with the controls, and the story doesn’t always hit as hard as it should. In the end, Crimson Desert is a huge game. Ambitious, sometimes tough, definitely not for everyone, but if you’re willing to fully invest yourself in it, it’s a pretty amazing experience.

Cronos The New Dawn is Bloober Team’s most ambitious project, heavily inspired by survival horror classics. Its post-apocalyptic Polish setting, retro-futuristic art style, and oppressive atmosphere are impressive highlights, showing the studio’s talent for building immersive, unsettling worlds. Yet the game struggles with rigid, outdated gameplay, clunky combat, and puzzles that feel too simplistic. Its reliance on Dead Space, Resident Evil, and Silent Hill leaves little room for true innovation, preventing it from becoming a genre-defining title. But if the coating is more than successful, the gameplay proposition is much less so, since South of Midnight languishes in a rather staggering classicism. With its limited and repetitive gameplay loop, the structure of its levels that is far too linear and conventional, disappointing bosses and a bestiary of distressing poverty (there are 6 different enemies during the 15 hours of adventure), we realize that Compulsion Games has favored form over substance. Be careful, it is far from being catastrophic, but there is nothing exciting either, and it is all the more regrettable that certain mechanics, although conventional, manage to work at times. If you didn't have a chance to play Valiant Hearts yet, go ahead. This Switch version is very good, with untouched graphics and a vast choice of gameplay, with the option of tactile or gamepad controls depending of your liking. We would have loved a new chapter about Georges though.

This new version of Sleeping Dogs can't compete with its Square Enix mate: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. The game's graphics have undoubtedly been improved but sadly not enough. It still can't compete with the PC version, which makes it useless for all the gamers who already played the game. If you never experienced this nice GTA-like, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is the way to go.

It's hard to get a definitive idea about HITMAN. On one side we see an episodic game plagued by server problems and a sketchy optimisation on PC, on the other it may well be the best opus from the IP since Blood Money.

Some games gather the players together. Some divide them. Obviously, ZombiU belongs to second category. On the one hand, Ubisoft did very well to use the Wii U Gamepad and asymmetric gameplay brings something new to the multiplayer experience. But, on the other hand, ZombiU isn't visually impressive and some players won't appreciate the difficulty level that sometimes has been pushed too high.

TERA is not a game that will revolutionize the MMORPG world, offering repetitive and boring quests. However, its battle system, taking a page out of action titles, happens to propose a more dynamic and interesting gameplay that MMORPG commonly offer on the market. For the first time, the ability to aim and move play a part in TERA, and the beauty of its graphics and its charming universe can be considered as strong points, which is not alwalys the case in titles like this.

With a wait of almost three years, Tales of Graces F could have been a great disappointment. But the wait is now over, and despite the first few hours lacking of energy, the title proves that Namco Bandai Games masters its subject. Like Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces F hides at first a great potential that finally reveals itself gradually during the adventure. A pleasant surprise that only suffers from old-fashioned graphics.

The INTERIOR/NIGHT studio even pushes the cursor to reach the status of interactive photo-novel, due to a singular artistic direction, based essentially on still images.

Faithful to the series, in its qualities as in its defaults, this new episode of Sniper Elite 5 hardly surprises. The faithful who were waiting for the full of innovations or a huge technical leap will therefore be at their expense. But this status quo also has its advantages. It is the guarantee of highly pleasing kill cams, an open and proven level design, numerous infiltration mechanics and, above all, fun and realistic sniping gameplay.

Released two years after War for Cybertron, Transformers : Fall of Cybertron had plenty of time to correct the mistakes of the first episode. However, instead of doing so, the developers prefered to work on the different robots players could play with in the sequel. Thereby, featuring a varied gameplay, Fall of Cybertron appears to be a good game to blow off some steam, just hoping the next sequel will be better.

Let’s be real: Screamer 2026 is a great surprise. This isn’t some lazy nostalgia reboot, Milestone actually took risks, and that’s something you have to respect. In a genre where Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon dominate the sim side, and arcade racers like Burnout or Need for Speed have kind of faded away, Screamer brings something fresh. The Echo System, inspired by fighting games, turns races into real mind games, managing meters, timing your moves, anticipating your opponent. And honestly, it works. The dual-stick drifting takes some getting used to, but once it clicks, it feels great, really precise, really satisfying. Visually, the game stands out too, with strong Akira vibes and a cool 2D/3D style. It’s not perfect though: the story drags a bit, and the first hours can feel repetitive. It’s not a “pick up and play” racer, it asks for patience. But if you stick with it, you’ll find a game that actually tries to do something different.

Far from the exceptional stuff we've been promised, Destiny is "only" a good game, with a huge potential which will be fulfilled with some good old DLC's. Nothing to be ashamed of from a visual point a view, but Bungie's new baby has some troubles with its content (sluggish progression, repetitive missions, sometimes really dumb AI). Destiny has been limited on purpose, to serve 10 years of good service with DLC's. But the frustration mixes with enjoyment thanks to an attractive universe, a beautiful soundtrack and an accessible gameplay.

After nearly a decade off the courts, the Mario Tennis series returns on the Nintendo Switch 2 with a different approach and it's disapointing. Unlike previous entries, which balanced solid tennis gameplay with fun, arcade-style elements, Mario Tennis Fever isn’t really about precision or timing anymore. It’s immediate, flashy, and chaotic, with frenzied rackets and over-the-top effects designed to get laughs (or frustration) rather than reward skill. The downside is that this focus on spectacle comes at the expense of balance. Some powers feel overpowered, defense is limited, and the depth that made Mario Tennis Aces satisfying is largely gone. Online matches can quickly feel repetitive, even frustrating. The Adventure mode doesn’t help: short, overly wordy, and heavy on tutorials, it feels more like a drawn-out lesson than a proper solo campaign.Fortunately, the game’s overall content softens the blow. A generous roster, dozens of rackets, mini-games, and multiple modes keep the experience lively—but after eight years of waiting, it still feels a little light.

If you are looking for originality with this Assassin's Creed Mirage, you will be disappointed, the game only focusing on the nostalgic fiber and the roots of the license. Less RPG elements, smaller open world, 15/20 hours of gaming maximum, the return of the Middle East and gameplay centered on stealth mechanics, some players will appreciate the return of the old Assassin's Creed philosophy, others will not because the game is less complete, with old school stealth mechanics. Assassin's Creed Mirage is simply Assassin's Creed in the most basic way the formula has to offer. It's not bad in itself, but after 3 years of waiting, we were still entitled to expect something more surprising.

Spec Ops The Line is a good TPS whose lack of originality regarding its gameplay mechanics can be easliy criticized. And yet, the title offers a great experience, depicting a bright and apocalyptic vision of Dubaï, just as if players were there. The mise-en-scène of Spec Ops The Line also manages to share, both psychologically and physically, the craziness experienced by our heroes. Finally, the classic multiplayer modes make us forget the short time needed to finish the main campaign.

Saints Row 4 takes a turn towards TPS through a scenario change. As President of the United States, the game will put you in a hero role which will make the gameplay deviate towards a gaming experience closer to Prototype than to it's own ancestors. The legacy is not forgotten as the crazy side of things is still pretty much a central point, and of course the specific sense of humor which is the game's signature. With a main quest taking around 15 hours and many more side missions providing a wealthy lifetime, Saints Row is grieved by lots of small faults, chief among them the awful graphics it displays.
