    Full Throttle Remastered is as good now as Full Throttle was back in 1995, and that’s about as glowing a recommendation as I could possibly give. It may not provide the longest ride ever produced, but with a new coat of paint, a refurbished engine, and some sexy after-market exhausts, this is one retuned and restored beast I unreservedly endorse for one and all.

    Ben is back after 22 years with improved graphics, improved sounds, and a very low price tag. What's there not to like? Not much. Maybe the gameplay on the Mine Road that shows it's age. A must-play for any gamer.

    For me, Full Throttle was one of my least favorite of the LucasArts adventures, being about half the length you’d expect from an adventure and using a setting that I didn’t really care about. So I’m mixed in my feelings here. If you’ve never played the original version of the game, then it’s worthwhile to try out the remastered version — just to see some adventure game history if for no other reason. But if you’ve played Full Throttle before, then the remastered version is more of an iffy proposition. There is some new stuff to see (and hear) but it’s basically just the same game, and you’ll have to decide if that’s worth $15 to you.

    A cinematic, high-octane, but short-lived adventure, lovingly remastered for a new generation.

    A solid remake of a solid, albeit short biker adventure that is primarily focused on storytelling and the characters rather than puzzles.

    Full Throttle hasn’t aged particularly well, and it’s made more unenjoyable by a remaster that actively sucks the life out of the game’s personality.

When the full gameI still remember going to an internet cafe in the mid 90s when the demo for this was first released and being wowed by it. When the full game was released I played through three times. Full Throttle is among the very best adventure games (by which I mean a game that tells a good story and requires problem solving, with little to no action elements) ever made. Playing the remaster on a giant screen with my PS4 is incredible. No one should miss out on the experience of playing this well acted (including Mark Hamill), entertaining game full of endearing characters and stylish animation. Expand

    A short classic adventure with good voice acting and nice story. Works perfect on Ubuntu 16.04. Notebook with Intel® HD Graphics 4400 is enough.

    One of the classic point and click games finally gets a remaster for the new operating systems, the gameplay feels the same for better or worse, the graphics are GREATLY improved with an option to change to the original settings.
    The sound has also improved but not as much as the graphics.
    The game now has a starting menu that holds some new graphic arts, achievements are also a nice addition.
    All in all, a good port to new OS, with some new features.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I review games with all games starting at 5/10 (Average) and then deduct/add for negatives and positives:

    Overall feeling:

    Really enjoyable re-make for a classic game. I never played the original but saw a friend play-through it and bought it on steam. Was able to play through in one session and although some of the sections weren't perfect, I do think it's worthy of the title of a classic. The achievement list is a little big (40 in total) considering most of them are for just going through the game normally, and only a handful are for things you can miss. However it was fun to get them all. There is no real replay ability except for a fun romp through a familiar game a few years later for nostalgia.

    Positives:

    - Cool that you can swap between graphic settings +
    - Generally funny dialogue (on purpose) +
    - Unique and fairly varied characters +
    - Great Voice acting ++
    - Great music ++
    - Most puzzles were good +
    - Graphics made objects more clear on remastered edition +

    +9

    Negatives:

    - Graphics on remastered edition felt a bit like the smoothed out original pixel art and didn't go over to add details too many times --
    - Fighting and combat sections could have been more interesting, plus it's really hard to tell when you're supposed to execute certain commands, attacking enemies when their heads are up, dodging oil slicks, hard to see and notice --
    - I liked Ben, but his lack of expression felt boring and he didn't really offer much observation of the world -
    - Roller Derby section is unclear, boring and one of/the worst sections in the game and drags the whole thing down --

Expand
