Typhoon Studios have done a tremendous job with their debut game, bringing us a vibrant adventure. Journey To The Savage Planet comes with plenty of exploration opportunities, refined gameplay mechanics, online co-op and a story that will keep you laughing. It’s hard to find fault here, lack of local co-op aside, and releasing with a mid-range price point, it comes highly recommended.

Journey to the Savage Planet is an amazing experience of alien planetary exploration where the developer’s imaginations were allowed to paint a canvas of fun, art style, and humor that never felt forced or over the top. Once you temper expectations and remind yourself that this is a game about exploration and not an alien shoot em’ up or a fully packed RPG, you begin to realize how special this game is. The game offers 2-player co-op online which many titles like this wouldn’t even think twice about.

Journey to the Savage Planet an unexpected pleasant surprise that you don't expect in the typically dead month of January. The humor can be an acquired taste for some, but the focus on levity doesn't feel forced and actually enhances the overall experience. The focus on exploration also helps make this a lighthearted jaunt, as the exploration is enjoyable and the combat is light but capable. Combined with the game's classically inspired art design, Journey to the Savage Planet is a title that adventure fans should pay attention to, especially with so many other higher-profile titles getting delayed recently.

Journey to the Savage Planet doesn't as savage or wild as I thought, actually the style is a little bit weird and funny. Of course, it's not perfect but at the end of the day, I enjoy spending time on the Planet especially with my friends.

It's a parody of the entire survival genre on a massive scale and simple, light-hearted adventure wrapped in one game. You probably won’t regret signing up with Kindred Aerospace, but still, this game could have been more engaging.

Journey to the Savage Planet wants to take you to an alien planet for an adventure based on exploration. But the further I went into the planet, the more I felt that my movements were too guided.

This comedy exploration experience blasts off with a lot of fresh ideas, but doesn't quite stick the landing.

По мере прохождения можно вернуться с помощью телепорта в начальные локации и уже прокачавшись открыть новые места в пройденных локациях.
    Исследоватеть эту планету очень весело!

It's not a super long huge ridiculously open world game, but the content that is there is GORGEOUS, downright hilarious at points, and extremely polished. This is without a doubt one of the gems of 2020. If you're into exploring neon-colored alien planets, looking through nooks and crannies for secrets, punting adorable alien birds into the gaping maw of a living garbage disposal with tentacles, and silly dialogue...this is the game for you. Just don't expect a 20+ hour rpg. That's not what JTTSP is meant to be, but it also doesn't cost as much as one. The level of polish is worth the entry price imo. Just look at screenshots and if the aesthetic draws you in, take the plunge. Expand

Planet full of different fauna representatives and what interesting contain ruin of old civilization. while all ur journey you will get different strange but funny videos on tv (yeah your space ship have tv with universe television - its future !=D) it will be some promo of dumb thing like new food or tabletop games, or directions of your boss, i guess. but not only tv can entertain you, your AI support will comment all your achievements and failures, and when scan something you will get funny description of object what u scan. so i can say that Typhoon Studios try to do all that make they game interesting, and short time to beat this game is a great plus on my mind because will not you get tired while scanning, mining, searching different things (yeah Typhoon hid a lot in their game) . Unfortunately, the gameplay gets a bit repetitive and the exploration doesn't feel particularly rewarding. It's a pretty easy Metroidvania.

It's not a bad game. I like the concept, but other than the humor, the gameplay gets bland fast.

Exploring the game's world is a joy, but that's all there is. It's very easy, you feel no threat from enemies and bosses. You don't really interact with the aliens apart from shooting some of them. It would be great to observe some interactions between them and use them to your advantage, but all they do is walk around. Expand

It's only challenging because of bad design. This is the gaming embodiment of a turd rolled in glitter.

    ---{ Story }---
It's interesting enough, you're a pioneer stranded on an alien planet, and the company you work for didn't plan for your return, so you have to explore the mildly dangerous habitat in order to gather the resources you need to get home. Also Aliens.

    ---{ Gameplay }---
Mostly platforming, and a bit of shooting.
The platforming is imprecise at best, mostly because there's no way to tell when you can/can't grab onto a ledge. The way a grapple should work is, if you're in range and facing the grapple point, you can grapple. Not in this game. Sometimes it works, sometimes you fall and have to start a tedious climb all over again. Or die.
The shooting is inaccurate, and the most dangerous monsters are immune, except for tiny, moving, weak spots. So... that obviously wasn't thought out very well. Even if you trap them in goo, the weak spot moves around a lot, so you're just spamming bullets until you're lucky enough to land a shot. Oh and sometimes, as if that weren't enough, their weakpoint is on their back/tail, but despite being stuck in goop, they rotate so they're always facing you... that's either a bug or brainless game design. Also their attacks can just reach you anywhere. As in, an enemy will anti-grav up a tree just to hit you.
The dodge mechanic seems pretty useless. The enemies you have to dodge seem to lock on to you, and are much faster than you, so.... what's the point?
There's no map. For a game based heavily around exploration, this seems like a huge oversight. You constantly come across puzzles you don't have the equipment to solve yet, good luck finding/remembering all of them without a map or waypoints. EDIT: This is made a bit easier later once you unlock radar abilities for the collectables.

    ---{ Graphics }---
Absolutely beautiful. Nice vibrant colour palette. World design is cool and trippy.

    ---{ Audio }---
The music is awesome but there really isn't much of it. Shame that.

    ---{ Difficulty }---
Not hard, just hard to play.

    ---{ Grind }---
Lots of collectables, otherwise not really.

    ---{ Bugs }---
There's no pause function. In 2023.

    ---{ PC Requirements }---
Max settings on an i5-9600K and an RTX 2070 = constant 60fps.

Constant crashes I don't know why. Play fornite all the time without any issues. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with this game.
