Its various locations and constant humour will as usual keeps players hooked up for hours, thanks to a solid content and a heavy soundtrack that might have benefited from more diversity.

As well executed as its console counterparts, Dead or Alive : Dimensions really is stunning, both technically and gameplay-wise. Too bad the 3D doesn't bring anything to the table, really, except some frame rate drops that the purists won't be able to handle. For the rest, it's the portable DoA you can't miss to enjoy dynamic combats and pretty lady fighters!

EA Sports reinvented FUT such as the career mode and gave the player a whole new aspect to the game. FIFA 23 keeps its promises and in short, EA Sports has mastered its subject on almost every point.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is far more than a simple facelift applied to a beloved classic. It’s a heartfelt tribute, crafted above all for those who first explored the lands of Cyrodiil nearly twenty years ago. Virtuos and Bethesda have struck a delicate balance, modernizing the essentials without compromising the unique identity of the original. Visually, the transformation is often stunning. But behind this ambitious graphical overhaul, some technical aspects still show their age.

DOOM The Dark Ages puts us in a rather delicate position. On the one hand, we absolutely loved playing as the Slayer in a disproportionate medieval universe, thanks to a gameplay both "old-school" and modern, more brutal and enjoyable than ever, and even more accessible. On the other hand, the studio's attempts to bring more depth to the franchise's lore and game mechanics fell seriously flat overall. That didn't however stop us from having a monstrous blast eviscerating armies of demons, with a graphical and technical slap that was still as masterful as ever.

There's real poetry coming from those pixels. In between Princess Mononoke, Zelda, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, Sword & Sworcery borrows from a lot of inspirations, digests them well, and adds its own style on top. It's a real and sensible adventure to discover, with fantastic visuals and musics, and a simple yet efficient gameplay. Its very low price makes it unmissable on the iPad. The sooner the better? This may apply to Pokémon Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon in many ways. While fresh memories from the previous episodes help to notice the small, delicate differences, with clever twists aimed at Alola's returning vacationers, the main story transformations happen rather late. Similarly, the additions are mostly interesting, even captivating, but they often lack more development to display their full potential, and overall flaws were not really addressed, in particular tedious pace and inconsistent challenge. However, the generous amount of commemorative - not to say recycled - content suggests Game Freak tried to achieve some closure there, broken rules like the introduction of new species during this generation hinting that the series might seriously evolve in the future. Better late than never.

Blasphemous 2 is a success. If you enjoyed the first journey, you'll love this new pilgrimage. And if you're a first-timer, don't panic - you don't need to have played the first game to try this adventure. Blasphemous 2 stands on its own. Part Metroidvania, part Souls-like, the game takes the best of both worlds and builds its own personal mechanics in the process. The result is more than convincing. The gameplay is accessible but demanding, the difficulty is present but not insurmountable, and exploration is a pleasure, even if it's easy to get lost. There's no doubt that Blasphemous 2 is a rather striking game, if only for its proposition and its universe, which deals with mythology and religion in a way that we don't often see. The resulting art direction and bestiary are also top-notch, despite a few repeats from the first episode. The whole thing is bathed in an ear-watering OST and boasts top-notch pixel art. Despite some original minigames and clever boss battles, the story mode falls short, since it strictly serves to teach the new gameplay mechanics. Mario Tennis Aces introduces "zone" tricks that prove both spectacular and powerful, offensively as well as defensively, thus creating a singular, radical timing approach to tennis, yet rather adequate for such competitive ambitions online. However, more risks should have been taken, particularly through the evolution of the double tap system in order to play closer to the lines, and increase the errors potential, which would add not only consistency, but also authenticity. Therefore this episode reaffirms the series' legendary accessibility underlined by the discrete motion mode à la Wii Sports, a classical ace of conviviality on the whole from Camelot.

After such a long time away from the green, Mario's clubs could have been rusty. At first indeed, it seems this comeback only relies on the same proven physics engine and subtle gameplay. The swing technique didn't change at all, even with the alternative method intuitively based on touch. But rather than pursuing realism, Mario Golf : World Tour expresses its arcadish approach in an audacious way, through a cartoonish world filled with interactive elements from the Mushroom Kingdom and the addition of power-ups. The Chinese title thus offers a generous, exhilirating adventure, with a level design that is as well executed as it is beautiful to contemplate, and spectacular fights, perhaps a little too much against bosses with increasingly unbridled power requiring you to have a near-perfect mastery of its gameplay. Life is Strange Double Exposure is not only a delight for long-time fans, it's also a game that's well worth the journey. It captivates us with an intrigue that manages to surprise us, even when we think we've got it all figured out... It's a very appreciable tour de force that should leave a strong mark on the IP as a whole. The lore is growing and new possibilities seem to be opening up for the future. Of course, not all the features are perfect. The game is beautiful, without being overpowering, and bears witness to technical limitations that Deck Nine will have to correct in future iterations to demonstrate that it is capable of surpassing itself and taking the license even further. In any case, after this new installment, the Life is Strange IP could be approaching a tipping point in its formula and approach to writing. As expected, Guerilla offers us a very good shooter, which stands out as a landmark of its kind on PlayStation 3.

Rockstar reclaimed Max Payne in their own way, without changing its core: it's a shooter, and its main protagonist is as dark as ever. The real surprise comes from the multiplayer, one of the best third-person multiplayers we've played.

Singular and therefore quite striking, "JETT Le Rivage Lointain" in French in the text, is a journey that should not be missed. It will not remain as a lasting memory that will mark the life of a player forever. It looks more like that nice walk we took on the weekend and which leaves vivid memories. It is a game that has a soul and brilliantly composes a striking musical and aesthetic blend.

Better than FIFA 15, FIFA 16 delivers some big changes in terms of defense, freedom, pace and A.I. It needs some practice to fulfill its potential and appear truly pleasant, tense and realistic. There are still some issues, like the referee, that can irritate. It's not the perfect game but the whole package is so appealing that it's impossible to resist if you are a true football fan.

Let's be clear : Kinectimals won't be able to capture an adult's attention for long, but let's not forget that it's not made for them. But it's easy to pick up and follow, beautiful, and unbeatable when it comes to making a child smile : yes, the magic works. There may be some latency, and indeed sometimes Kinect seems to react in an odd fashion, but the overall experience remains solid. Touching, even. Probably the most immersive and moving pet game to date.

Too bad this 360 edition doesn't include most of the refinements of the computer version. It's a port of an old beta version, but it's actually a very good one, complete with an enhanced interface, a very nice tutorial, and probably the best multiplayer of all since it's Xbox Live based and as such, very easy to use and enjoy.

Ever wanted to know what it's like to be Batman? If that's the case, Batman: Arkham VR is a great place to start. In this surprisingly dark game, you have to solve a mystery using Batman's tool and gadgets. If you're a fan of Batman who has access to a PlayStation VR, you should really give Rocksteady's experience a chance.

Developers have done a great job in correcting what was a bit old or wrong with the first game. We now have a brilliant strategy game that looks fine but is also enjoyable quickly by everyone, thanks to the Campaign Mode. Online gaming has well evolved too and it's quite sure that, even if all the races are not yet available, fans of the franchise and curious players will find what they seek.

As a current-gen upgrade rather than a remaster/remake, this PS5/Xbox Series version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance does its job well. It effectively utilizes the capabilities of the latest consoles to display the 2018 title smoothly in up to 4K resolution, complete with high-definition textures, even if these don't entirely mask the fact that it's an eight-year-old game. Thanks to its impeccable performance, this is clearly the best console iteration of Warhorse Studios' first title, despite the controls being generally less intuitive with a gamepad than with the PC keyboard/mouse combo.

Cris Tales is the first game from the Colombians studio Dreams Uncorporated, and it's rather impressive, with a deliciously retro feeling, a charming design mixing pastels, 2D and 3D, very pleasant for the eyes despite some optimization concerns, even on PS5, where DualSense is not very well supported. What makes Cris Tales original is not its classic scenario, but the powers of its protagonist, who can see both the past and the future at the same time. In game, it means a screen cut in three, and we can have fun moving the camera to observe the destiny and life of an NPC by running from left to right. In combat, it's quite exhilarating, since it will be necessary to mix temporal and elemental mechanics to overcome his enemies. Clearly, Cris Tales is a very humble and charming little game, and if this is your kind of game, you should look into its case.

With a few new tactical features and some refinements in terms of gameplay, PES 2017 succeeds in delivering a strong soccer experience to those who love that sport. Even without bringing truly fresh ideas to the formula it is definitely a strong entry in the series.

Red Orchestra's back with an even more polished gameplay, a new graphical engine, some added mechanics, and, indeed, tanks. The realism of the first one is back yet again, even though some slight modifications may throw off some of the gamers used to the original. But this mix of atmosphere and demanding gameplay, both as an individual FPS gamer and a team player, is what makes RO2 unique. It still lacks a little polish, though, but a patch should take care of this.

A fascinating survival-horror game. Despite some surprising shortcomings, in particular a perfectible playability and combat system, ZombiU puts the player at the center of a zombicalypse like no other game. The extremely well polished atmosphere, high difficulty and asymmetrical gameplay ideas deliver an intense experience that all fans of horror and survival themed games should live.

There are games that surprise you simply because they didn't have to exist—at least, not in this form. LEGO Batman: The Legacy of the Dark Knight could have been just another spin-off, another box of bricks sitting on an already crowded shelf. TT Games decided otherwise. It is neither a mechanical rehash of the Arkham series, nor merely another licensed LEGO title; rather, it is a universal work that pays tribute to a character who has endured through the ages—and seems to understand exactly why. It isn't flawless. The stealth mechanics sometimes feel like a half-remembered echo of Rocksteady's games, while the combat constantly reminds you that the game refuses to become too intimidating for its intended audience. Yet, TT Games has delivered its most ambitious title in a long time. It is also its most polished. And, above all, its most honest. An immense love letter to Batman, radiating a contagious sincerity. Ten years after Arkham Knight, that felt almost like a forgotten sensation.

You will not be bored a single second in Expeditions : Conquistador, if you're the type of gamer who loves this bland of turn-based strategy, RPG and New World atmosphere. This subtle genre cocktail finds new dynamics with the complexities of the story embedded in all the game's aspects. The story approach is the main innovation of this first title by Logic Artist, and propels it far above any regular indie game.

The Golf Club 2019 is a very good golf game, which shines in particular by its game system that is both realistic and rewarding. It does not hustle the codes, but offers an infinite renewal, thanks to its system of procedural generation in addition to the official courses of the PGA Tour. The loading times also benefit from a particular optimization and are non-existent during play, which favors concentration.
