Oct 5, 2018South Park: The Stick of Truth is really the same game, four years later. Sadly, this new version doesn’t take advantage of the Switch unique properties, but it’s still a great game you can play anywhere you want.
-
Oct 3, 2018Price and censorship aside, South Park: The Stick of Truth on Switch is still a great RPG after four years and (perhaps even more than the sequel) the best South Park game we could wish for.
-
Sep 28, 2018South Park: The Stick of Truth is by far the best South Park game ever made and one of the funniest video games ever. Gamers who enjoy a good laugh owe it to themselves to play this game. And the fact the Switch allows players to take the game everywhere with them make things even better.
-
Oct 17, 2018Featuring all the hallmarks of the animation series, with emphasis on its acidic humour, The Stick of Truth brings a good and simple combat system and a plot that will have fans falling all over it. While the lifespan could be longer, it's harder to understand the logic behind suppressing some elements, while leaving other potentially bolder elements in, but this ends up not harming what is a fun and insanely amusing RPG based on one of the most popular animated series out there.
-
Sep 28, 2018Benefitting from the performance tweaks made by the transition from old-gen to current-gen hardware - and the same smooth mapping of its controls to the Joy-Con - South Park: The Stick of Truth proves itself just as good a fit on Nintendo Switch as South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Both a pastiche of classic RPG tropes and a wonderfully empowering example of how to make a great modern example of the genre, this is still one of Obsidian’s best exports and as authentic as any episode of the cult TV show it’s so closely tied to.
-
Oct 16, 2018If you’ve never played this before, even with the random minor stutter, this is still a great game and likely Obsidian’s one and only release on the Switch. If you’ve played it before, there really isn’t anything here that warrants a second or third purchase.

May 18, 2020Fart control is horrible. It's unintuitive. For me personally, this feature has become an annoying factor.
