At its core, Tekken 7 is the ultimate Tekken experience. While paying tribute to previous games in the series, it’s also made for the hardcore Tekken fan in mind. Newcomers will also love it once you get a feel for the unique fight system. There isn’t much I didn’t enjoy with during my time with Tekken 7, other than it makes me want a new Soul Caliber with the same TLC that went into this game. I highly recommend picking up Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 is definitely a big guy. A new engine, new characters, new combat techniques and a lot of new game modes and options. It doesn't have the amount of content found in Injustice 2, but the way the familiar combat system makes you feel so powerful is still unmatched.

Tekken 7 is the first modern fighting game I've played that really seems to maintain the feel of the classics in its entirety. As much fun as the results of the genre's evolution has been, there's always going to be a place in the gaming collective for the classics, and Tekken 7 is fundamentally just that. It's nearly perfect as a core Tekken experience. The only thing that was truly disappointing was the lack of Tekken Ball.

Tekken 7 is not the best entry in the series and lacks some single-player content, but when it comes to offering gorgeous combat against friends and other people online, here it is: the King is back with outstanding battle mechanics and plenty of characters to learn. If you don't prefer Injustice 2, here you have your new main fighting game of the season.

Its diverse roster is packed with a wide range of personalities and fighting styles, bolstered by a raucous attitude that begs to be taken seriously while simultaneously mocking its more peculiar whims in the process. Tekken fans will find their next favorite game--one that's the product of decade's worth of refinement. And while some of this depth will be lost or out of reach for newcomers, there's enough fun to be had outside of hardcore competition to keep players from all walks of gaming thoroughly entertained.

For those hardcore players there’s plenty to enjoy from the deep, rewarding and varied roster of characters, fully featured and seemingly lag-free online modes, as well as the refinements to the core combat that make Tekken 7 the best since Tekken 3.

Tekken 7 has the barebones basics for a good fighter, but it’s missing the trimmings that make it worth recommending over bigger, and cheaper competition.

The story mode is really good as well. One complaint is that the story mode was too short for my liking, especially since we have waited for such a long time. The customisation mode is really good except sometimes i feel like I want more. The online at the moment is beyond terrible as I have been searching for a game for hours and couldn't even get one. But the pros really get the better out of the cons which is why I'd give this game an 87/100 Expand

Although the recent additions (as in DLC characters) were not really supervised upon release (I know they got nerfed later on). The stages are fantastic, so is the OST. A wide variety of characters to choose from and a fun (and also frustrating if you are a competitive person) experience. Hopefully Season 4 will patch up the netcode. Expand

Feels like a less entertaining version of DoA. I have around 30+ fighter games and this is between half way and bottom of the stack for me. Always play cos I fancy a change, never a first choice.

Looks nice, sounds nice. Just feels poor gameplay wise. Too many combos. I'd rather have a few move sets to use wisely, than have to remember every single button and direction to do a different move and then combos. I just don't like these style of inputs.

If I had hours and hours to sink in to this then I'm sure I'd like it more but seems more like a game of memory at the moment and I like playing lots of games, I can't remember these masses of inputs.

I play KoF 15, GG Strive, MK11, Injustice 2, BB Centralfiction. Always playing fighters but I can hit them up and get stuck in and with this I don't have that pick up and play vibe.

What I really don't get are all these reviews hating on the game cos of its story. It's a 2Dish fighter. Not an RPG, you're not reading a book. I've never in my life discussed fighters with my mates and they've said oh story is a bit **** Who cares. It's a bloody fighter. It's like buying a cake and saying I don't like the cake cos the knife that sliced it wasn't very decorative.

I'm actually going to stick with this one and keep giving it another try and hopefully raise my score. Something is telling me I haven't experienced what this game has to offer yet. If a game isn't worth my time then it is a straight 0 score from me. I think it is so cheap these days that it is well worth having and it feels very polished. I think some reviews are maybe being a bit harsh. I own a hell of a lot of games, so I have a lot to compare against. Anything out of the red is a good enough score from me.

Even with all that production money, the story is the worst one and worst executed one so far, the mechanics introduced just make the game feel more bland and cheap, characters that were a staple are removed and added as DLC, and the balancing issues on new characters that are done on purpose to "spice things up" at tournaments are a disgusting practice.

    Last Tekken game I'll buy

Tekken 7 doesnt have.(unlike last of us, cod, etc) A tactical gameplay? Nope. Just smash the buttons.(unlike r6s, mk, etc) character developement? Not at all! All these characters are terribly made , or knockoff of other video game characters! Unfortunately, this awesome franchise ( tekken ) is badly going down and its time to finally be stopped. It's a shame having something like tekken 7 in history of fighting games. Almost the same is happening to mk, but fortunately , mk proved that it still can be awesome ( proved it with mk11 ) and gave an amazing ending to the series. Expand
