Tetris Effect is a musical puzzle game instant hit, a must-have for anyone interested in this genre. Unlike so many versions of Tetris before it, it really transforms the formula to make a superb musical trip, and even some kind of sensory journey, able to get you into a second state. Its full compatibility with the PlayStation VR can also bring a higher degree of immersion and you should also try it this way. Apart from the surprising lack of a 2-player mode, we can't see anything wrong with Tetris Effect.

Like every massive monument, Fire Emblem: Three Houses has been built slowly, but surely. The candid though deep links established in the monastery, theatre of a true student life with plentiful lessons and occupations, are used to express the canevas' dramatic intent, exceptionally dark. And this dense universe features an unprecedented scope, also displayed by the scale of battles lead in unison on large maps, resolutely overpopulated. Then the accent put on human relations and the natural, if not organic aspect of the peregrinations resulting from the gameplay evolutions almost appear to push the tactical dimension into the background. This episode is nonetheless based on its imposing heritage of principles, wisely refined to make the whole experience more coherent. Never did the series deploy such opulence, while giving the choice to discover the extent of its richness freely, whatever one's teaching implication degree. A long-term work anyway, accomplished by the masterful triple hands of Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. In a word, grandiose.

With Anno 117: Pax Romana, Ubisoft Mainz proves it is possible to evolve a beloved formula without losing its identity. The move to Antiquity is more than a new setting. It reshapes building, trade, resource hierarchy, cultural balance and even city planning thanks to diagonal roads and more uneven terrain. It is not as disruptive as Anno 1800 was at the time, but it improves several essential systems. Flexible needs make each run smoother. The Roman and Celtic coexistence gives regions a stronger personality. The huge research tree adds long-term strategic depth. The visual direction is stunning and brings a rare elegance to the whole experience. Some parts still need work, such as land battles or certain UI details, but these limits never overshadow the core experience. Anno 117 remains a rich and captivating city-builder. It is more than a simple return to the past. It stands as a solid and promising new chapter for one of the strongest management series of the last decades.

Arc Raiders is undoubtedly a must-have in the genre. Extremely enjoyable and addictive, the game grabs you by the gut and allows any player to find themselves in it. Its only drawback? The frustration, inherent to the genre, if you get eliminated before you have time to escape. Beyond that and a few menus that are a bit difficult to navigate, Arc Raiders is an experience that would be a real shame to miss. The immersion is incredible, driven by a stunning sound design and a surprising AI that serves not only the gameplay but also the narrative. A rich universe, top-notch art direction and technical prowess, an accessible yet unforgiving game, incredible sensations… the list goes on. Arc Raiders is certainly one of the best multiplayer surprises of 2025 with a very promising future, all for around forty euros.

The game also shines with its incredibly addictive and intuitive management mechanics, which perfectly put us in the shoes of a team leader of rookies who will eventually become true superheroes, though this aspect loses some of its appeal once the initial surprise of the first playthrough wears off. Dynamic, demanding combat, exploration, a bit of open-world action and top-notch graphics - it's all there. On the other hand, like its heroine, the game is superficial. It took patience to enjoy StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, but we can say that Blizzard reconfirms that the RTS is its chosen field. The campaign is good and if you're not a PvP fan, the addition of a co-op mode is a good alternative. Regarding the online multiplayer, Blizzard brings many changes that will undoubtedly bring new strategies.

Earth Defense Force 5 is the best episode of the franchise. The game is always very fun, with a lot of monsters and spaceships to destroy, alone or with friends. There is a lot of content, and despite graphics that feels old, and a lot of repetition, it's still a very good and satisfying game.

Sometimes, Resonance is confusing because its system is somewhat unclear. It requires time, a cold head, and a good awareness of clues in order to solve the puzzles. But you're then rewarded with a really good story and lovable characters. A very nice point & click, both funny, mature, and poignant.

As we expected, PES 2015 is back in the game. This first edition on PS4 and Xbox One (even if this version is visually a bit disappointing) will please all of those who were missing the unique feeling from the series. Beautiful and incredibly enjoyable when you get to improve your skills and understand how it works.

My Friend Pedro is an enchanting action game, that lets you kill dozens and dozens of henchmen with a lot of style, and a huge smile on your face. That's all we asked for, and we surely would have loved some more, but it's totally fine like this - except if you like interesting stories that make sense, which is not the case here.

Don't let the huge map of Total War Rome II intimidate you. The game is still pretty much the same (crunching numbers and crushing people) and the political system doesn't cut it. It's even easier than usual, mostly because of the absence of turns limit and a pretty passive AI in "normal" mode. Make sure you set the difficulty on the right challenge or you will bore yourself back to Italy. It's also a bit less spectacular then expected, but a real strategist doesn't mind, and Rome II's richness is breathtaking to say the least.

Even though its gameplay remains pretty classical, Bastion shows its singularity through its real time, voiced-over narration. During play of this Action RPG title, which remains solid and rich if not original, a voice will tell of your doings, your failures, every step of the way. Add a nice sense of progress and lush 2D visuals, and you may have the indy game of this summer '11 before your eyes. Even though it's not as remarkable as the likes of Braid or Limbo.

Friends, pizzas, Heave Ho and I are the assurance of an evening of great quality. Be careful, however, in addition to tension in your fingers, your ribs, your ears, your voice, could suffer the crazy control of these heads to arms, between laughter and hilarious confusion, for the final, also a moral: only we go more quickly, to many we go further (and died of laughter).

Paper Mario is certainly a very good game. It's sure to delight fans of the license, as well as old hands who've already played the original game 20 years ago on Gamecube. Newcomers, meanwhile, will discover one of the best spin-offs of the famous moustachio. Gripping, fun, funny and charming to the eye, the game has it all. Our only complaint is that the difficulty is still not quite up to scratch, even if those unfamiliar with the genre may find it a little hard to get going at first. On the plus side, this Mario Paper is, like all the games in the license, archi-accessible and well thought-out. It's an ideal entry point for young players who want to discover the basics of turn-based RPGs. In any case, whatever your profile, unless you're totally allergic to the license or hermetic to the genre, Paper Mario is an excellent game that would be a shame to miss on Nintendo Switch.

In many ways, Little Nightmares 2 is better than the first installment of the series. Throughout the six hours needed to beat the game, the player finds himself embarked on a whirlwind of opposite emotions, both terrified and blown away by the atmosphere that emerges from the setting, magnified by clever camera work, and by the general pace of the game. In addition, we can count on a satisfying and non-frustrating conclusion this time.

Landing for the first time on a Nintendo hardware, these two episodes, especially the first one, are instant classics of the JRPG genre. This Switch version of the HD Remaster is quite clean, technically speaking, with high resolution textures and low loading time. Alas, the cartridge only includes Final Fantasy X (X-2 being available by downloading it), but it's not a reason to pass by these fantastic games.

Don't trust its cartoony looks, Sly Cooper isn't just for kids. Behind its mask, our beloved animal thief hides a delightful sense of humor. It also boasts a ton of tricks to play with in terms of gameplay, despite its stealth nature slowly conceding territory to the more action-y aspects of its gameplay. In the end, the adventure is full of variety and fun, and may very well be the most refined and rich episode of the series - it most certainly is one of the best 3D platformers out there these days.

Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life is sure to be one of this spring’s must-have releases. By reviving this unique franchise on the Nintendo Switch, Big N reminds us just how powerful and unmatched the Mii characters’ comedic appeal is. Moreover, Nintendo offers us a true respite of lighthearted fun that, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its day, allows us to escape a particularly anxiety-inducing reality. While the game’s distinct identity means it won’t appeal to everyone, it will be the perfect choice for anyone looking to treat themselves to short, stress-free gaming sessions full of surprises.

If the first opus was as much about Henry's youth as Warhorse Studios', Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is in many ways a game of maturity for both of them. This sequel is indeed more accomplished in many areas, such as its fascinating story thanks to an excellent writing, its better-refined technical and artistic aspects, or its impressive immersion in a realistic Middle Age. If you loved the first game, you are certainly going to enjoy this one. For newcomers, however, you will have a bit of a hard time at the beginning in order to fully appreciate the great strengths of this “historical” open-world RPG, truly unique in its category, even if a little too familiar compared to its big brother.
