For even more gameplay possibilities, carve a path through walls and buildings, take down your enemies in creative ways, and leave your mark on the terrain around you through intuitive destruction. Through your actions, the pristine world around you change into a battle-scarred landscape, changing the world forever. With dynamic weather you will need to adapt your tactics to weather changes as the elements play a part in the battle. Playing the same map on a bright day, in heavy fog, or rain will impact what you see and hear, forcing you to adapt your play style on an ever-changing battlefield. Operations introduces a new way to play multiplayer. In Battlefield 1 you play a series of interconnected battles across multiple fronts. Play a sequence of battles where your actions have consequences beyond a single match, as you try to conquer territory or push back your attackers. At those times when you feel all is lost, call in the Behemoths - the largest fully player-controlled vehicles ever seen in Battlefield. Roam the battlefield and rain fire on your enemy to break their defenses. All-out war never felt so epic. Take control of the Armored Train, Air Ship, or the Battleship to dominate the battlefield across land, air, and sea. [Electronic Arts] Expand

Battlefield is back in shape and more so with fresh theme of the first Great War! After a long time, the campaign is successful and multiplayer is traditionally excellent. So, this year your choice is set! [Issue #269]

The campaign is worth checking out, Operations delivers clear forward thinking for Battlefield as a series in a way I think Rush never really did, and the maps are absolutely spectacular. Battlefield One is utterly brilliant.

Battlefield 1 has a conservative approach, despite its unusual historical setting. This means it is technically impressive and multiplayer is fun and spectacular. We also like the way the campaign is told, almost as a documentary.

Battlefield 1 is a monumental shooter. Putting "aside" the Single Player campaign (fun, varied and spectacular but very short), the strengh of the production is obviously represented by the PvP. His large-scale battles are an experience that all multiplayer fans should try.

Battlefield 1's solemn campaign and over-the-top multiplayer may feel like polar opposites, but the complete package is all-around excellent.

Smoke-filled skies, destroyed buildings, ever-present dirt, trenches and heavily armored beasts, clouds of poisonous gas and panicked feeling that you’re being shot at from every direction and there’s not a square inch of ground that’s truly safe. The setting feels not just grim – more like apocalyptic. [Issue#214, p.52]

It feels like being asked to play a game of football at a funeral and then made to keep the noise down when you score.

Definitely a solid shooter this year. The graphics are amazing in this game, and the game runs pretty decent on my pc. I get 50-60 fps on high settings in 1080p. I have a GTX 960 2 gb, 16 gb ram, and amd fx 6300 4 ghz. The game is a lot more polished compared to the previous Battlefield games such as Hardline and BF4. The campaign is really short, about 4-5 hours. Despite the length of the story, it's still better than the BF Hardline and BF4's campaigns. The online multiplayer is the only reason why you should buy this game. Things get really crazy when you have 64 players, just so much chaos going on...which is why I like the Battlefield series more than Call of Duty. Expand

Well the campaign was fun, a little too easy and AI are dumb as hell as usual but somehow I still really liked the campaign.

Unfortunately can't say the same for the multiplayer. I couldn't get any kills at all in this game and I'm generally pretty good at shooters. Then I figured out it's Star Wars Battlefront code with 'ranges' that you have to be in for each weapon, is why the guns feel so bizarre. Once you get used to the ranges you'll get a lot better but I just don't like the feel of it. I should never be too close for a sniper rifle to work, and shotguns are absolutely useless at surprisingly short distances (like 30 feet or so and suddenly it does nothing). And support LGMs should take more time to pull up to ironsights and make you run slower but should be devastating as hell when hit. Instead they feel weaker than a little SMG which is too weird to describe. I just don't like the 'feel' of it.

Also there's a lot of cheaters you see kicked every round. OMG it's only been out for three days!

Anyway I guess it has potential if they fix the cheating and tune the guns a bit. But definitely not my favorite shooter out of the box.

I knew i avoided EA games for a reason but Jesus Christ. Polished gameplay eh? Sure, maybe in single player. Multiplayer is a **** Like all out, broken as balls **** Many weapons, most of them useless, 80% of which locked until you pay up or get them by playing. Right, ok, makes EA sense, they are money grubbing tards. Basically the game is a haven for campers, snipers and tank hogs. I've had a game where a guy on my team NEVER spawned outside a tank. Sure enough, 45 kills 10 deaths. So you bite that bullet. No instant replay of character death? Check. Hackers galore? Check. Way to see if someone is legit playing without a shatton of outside apps? Nope. Why would they check for hackers at this point? I mean BFV is on it's way, why even give a flock for current IP? Suckers will pay, suckers always pay. Anyway, buy it for the Single Player. Its short but it's better than anything you'll get in MP. For MP get a Call of Duty. Expand

I thought this game was going to take it back to Battlefield 1942 with single shot rifles were every shot counted. Instead this game sold out and opted to use guns that are technically historically from the era but completely inaccurate. That is just one of many problems I had in my brief moments with this game.
