    Very polished and very entertaining! This is the best Battlefield game yet. I liked previous BF games but this is better then ever. Running on high settings with GTX970, game looks amazing!

    This is the Battlefield I have always been waiting for.

    Finally, I don't feel that "fat character lag" that I always experience in the past BF.
    Now it's as fluid as a Counter-Strike or COD can be.

    All that with amazing graphic, building destruction, and all the tank etc...

    Finally a game that is polished at launch !

    Best looking shooter in a while, the maps and animations are breathtaking and the game really sets itself a part from the previous battlefield games, and to honest the series did need this sort of reboot.

    This game is absolutely stunning. I love that they decided to do a WWI game instead of a modern war and love the mechanics of this game. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is I wish it would have a better story mode, and that the guns were more authentic to the times. WWI really didn't have as many, in fact hardly any, automatic weapons, though they are abundant here. I assume theThis game is absolutely stunning.     I have played 1 hundred hours in Battlefield 4, i liked this game.Dice always making good content. Battlefield 1 is the best part of battlefield, cuz maps in this game are balanced, weapons are balanced too. I recommend you to play this game.

    Back to campaign, its Simply addictive, you choose your own Story mode is also great, UNLIKE other FPS Campaigns where the Creators want Gamers to Go where they want and Follow Long Stretched Stories sticking to a single HERO of the game which in real time do not happen.
    You choose your own story mode, play and if want to switch for a change, you can do that anytime switching chapters.

    With a lot of great game modes, EA has done a good job with good multiplayer and nice battlepacks coming along.

    Only Con for multiplayer is the Drops received After hours of gameplay, i guess the Owners should give away battle-drops often instead of taking a chance and giving away a single pack after hours of gameplay multiplayer mode.

    I'm not a huge fan of the FPS genre, so if I am going to play one then it has to be amazing. This is amazing! I would give it a 10 but there are some things that could be better (Direct X, a few aimbots / cheats and the historical inaccuracy to name just a few). one of these are major or game breaking and if it was accurate then it could have been at the expense of gameplay, sooooo I getI'm not a huge fan of the FPS genre, so if I am going to play one then it has to be amazing.     Haven't enjoyed a battlefield game this much since Battlefield 2

    Battlefield 1 takes away a lot of the nonsense added since BC2 BF3 BF4 & adds a lot of things that make sense, for example being able to squad queue or premium friend queue (allows people without DLC to queue with people who have it) or spawning away from a flag if its under attack, also spawning in general is awesome as you get a proper situational awareness from the map to the ground

    basically if you weren't a fan of choppers, long range mortar, flir etc then this is the Battlefield game for you

    Absolutely brilliant! As somebody that's never played the Battlefield series, this game is fresh take to FPS as an alternative to the COD series. The campaign is sooo good. It's like playing a movie.
    And it runs butter smooth on Ultra settings on my GTX970 SLI setup.
    Multiplayer is hard! But I still have some getting used to it as I'm used to the "run and gun" approach that the COD    Absolutely brilliant!     In Battlefield 1, the amount of people you can have firing at you if you poke your head too high is so intense. The weapons are fine tuned enough so that even snipers have a valid reason to push up a little closer, and veichles aren't stupid OP like they were in resent battlefield titles.

    I would like a few more slots for planes in the game though, that would be an awesome feeling to have 10 planes on each time flying overhead all the time. I'd still like to see 64 teams on either side, instead of "only" 32 on each - that would be the dream! But, I'm happy Battlefield 1 took a step back to a time before tanks that could headshot you from miles away and focused more on the soldiers.
    And the visuals is as always stunning, battlefield took battlefront and printed an awesome looking game into a game with fun gameplay.    … Expand

    Pros - This is a great return to how the old battlefields made me feel during gameplay; edge of the seat, heart racing, squading up with a couple friends to support and take an objective. The return of destructible environments (mostly). HUGE maps (if you choose conquest) to play on, this was always a big seller for me in the old days, new maps and environments reflect the    8.5/10

Balance, just check youtube (OP snipers and a certain shotgun with ridiculous 1 shot-range) this can easily be fixed in a patch or two thankfully we've already seen a couple of.     This game is so cool , and makes you realize how bad war really is. The game starts of deep. No performance issues at all with an 980M and 6700k , on ultra. Definitely buy this game if your into that shooterstuff

    Great game. Battlefield 1 is a highly enjoyable, action packed first person shooter. Many of the aspects relating to World War One are at par with each other. One minor con, I would have to say, is that the multiplayer, although addictive, does not seem to match the actually World War I battles.     Just pure fun. Great Graphics. Sure, its not a simulator, nor an accurate depiction of WW1. Mostly all soldiers had bolt action rifles. It's a VIDEO GAME! and a very fun one. Playing with friends is the way to go.

    What a breathe of fresh air, finally back to the sort of genre that defined the franchise. Amazing graphics and intense gameplay, extremely fun to play all the way through. Fun campaign and a good selection of multiplayer modes, very impressed. Didn't like the weapon skins side of things, that is a bit tacky but aside from that perfect.

    Better than Bad Company 2 ! Amazing optimalization.While on the subject of multiplayer, this is quite simply the best it’s ever been, and the best multiplayer shooter of this generation. DICE has always been known for its excellent large-scale warfare, but something about it being set in The Great War makes every single encounter matter that much more.

    Absolutely brilliant and immersive. Plays awesome on GTX 1060 with ultra setting, visuals are great but the sound design is equally beautiful. The game is unforgiving for people who dont like team play. The addition of automatic weapons makes the gameplay fast, which may or may not suit all the people. Overall, it is the best remix of WW1 setting which a person can experience.

If that is true, then I am even more impressed with how well optimized this game is compared to everything else we get in the market.     Gameplay: Those will complain it is a knock off of SWBF or claim Battlefield 4 is way harder. Have not quite understood Battlefield 1. Battlefield 4 struggled with netcode and while I adored the game we have to remember not to mistake difficulty with optimization. Something can feel harder and it is because poor optimization.

    Battlefield 1 has a huge improvement to netcode and when you shoot it registers very well. Gun balance feels pretty on point. Scouts and assault all have their place. With 25 hours in I can say that the servers I have been on have seen a pretty good balance. If you do not see that balance, you can always try another server as this game is crazy populated with players.

    As far as if this is similar to SWBF, it really isn't. The gameplay feels completely different. And, I will be honest if the game was like SWBF, I am pretty sure I will be extremely disappointed because the gun play in SWBF is disappointing.

    Sound Design: Really on point, and what blew me away when I played this is how much the audio changes depending where you are at. When on Quentin scar and you walk on the huge bullet shells and hear them rustle was quite amazing!

    (NO SPOILERS) Single Player: Keeping it simple, it was heartfelt. I respected the approach they took, and one of the first actually FPS shooter campaigns I have really felt invested in awhile.

    Overall: This game is a huge win in my book, it delivered everything I expected and honestly much more. From the extremely stable release to the huge amount detail and care they took into the game shows a lot. You can tell this project was made out of love and for that I love this game. There is always something we can nitpick and complain about. But, where we are headed and tons more DLC I say this is my game of the year. Thank you DICE for your hard work, it really had paid off and the community can definitely see it!    … Expand

    After around 10h in the game (only playing Operations and Conquest) i think i have a pretty good idea off what this game is about. Ive played every Battlefield game, except Hardline, so im familiar to what they should bring to the table.

The sound is amazing like always, the same is graphics and details in maps, weapons and so on. The game is a beauty.

    Its also fun, chaotic and it requires teamplay. It got that Battlefield wipe, which we all love. The game fails abit to deliver on content, if you ever played Red Orchestra the Operation part (cool and fun, as it is) will feel abit doll after you've been through them all, and you cant help to think that some off the maps are not designed as good as they could have been when playing conquest, and we need more maps. I would not compare this to SW:BF at all, as its clear there are much more depth to this game, and a much more dynamic battlefield, where SW:BF just were a skin.

    All in all, a great game, that lives up to the battlefield name, but you cant help (yet again) to think, what it could have been without EAs interfering, and DLC hells, where the content comes in stages. Still, i would recommend this game to all FPS/Battlefield lovers.    … Expand

    Great game! Perfect visual effects and nice gameplay. A little bit casual (close to SW: BattlefronT), but it´s not so important. Maps are beautiful with many details and all buildings you can CRUSH! 9/10.

    The best multiplayer shooter to date, very polished. I was worried I would be disappointed in the guns with all the awesome attachments and scopes etc I'm used to but I was not let down. The graphics are amazing and for the first time I might not get CoD

    This game is perfect in so many ways! I have never had so much fun in a video game since bad company 2. The campaign is a bit short and i wish it was longer, but i have never felt so much in a video game before, i'm more of the multiplayer guy, i don't like singel player stories/games but i have to say, i really loved the Battlefield 1 war stories.     Very engrossing and exhilarating multi-player. Several modes, including the new mode, add lots of variety.
    Great graphics stay steady capped at 60 fps, even on medium end computers. Grit of WW1 shines through both modes. Not watered down for PC!

Most of the small things that were bothersome or a game ruiner in BF4 are gone. Hit detection is WONDERFUL. I haven't felt like my bullets weren't hitting or I was getting cornershot at all while playing this. The game runs at 60Hz, CS runs at 64Hz.     Buena ambientación, buenos gráficos, buena jugabilidad y lo mejor de todo es que tiene muchísimas horas de juego y diversión, lo malo que tiene es que viene con pocos mapas, pero bastantes modalidades de juego, para mi es un juego muy recomendado y que ya hace tiempo que no sacaban un battlefield que realmente valiese la pena.

    I've played previous Battlefield games (Bad Company 2, BF3) and I gotta say, this is the best one in terms of multiplayer. War stories are interesting, many of the things included in this game are historically accurate which I really enjoyed even though the game takes place in the final year of The Great War.

    Sure, it won't simulate the WWI but it will give you the atmosphere of WWI.

    The Story is really good, the best BF Story in my opinion. And of course the Multiplayer is also really cool.

    Dice redeemed themselves from Battlefront. Brought back building destruction they left out from Battlefield 4 (levolution is boring). Amazing game filled with dense urban to sprawing montain maps, audio captures the chaos and humanity of war perfectly.

    My only advice is to try the game.
    Well written stories, best i can remember in a game.
    Multiplayer needs balancing mostly on sniper cap. ( that is one of the main reasons i didnt give a 10)

    Ok, ok... I get it, this game have great atmosphere, visuals and all that, but what about gameplay and felling while shooting, you may ask? I played all classes equally, maybe not support that much and I can say every class and guns have their place and time of use in the battlefield... you are in the trenches, take that shotgun or SMG and clear the sector, more open area, dominate with those bolt action rifles or medic guns (that can outplay snipers at medium-long range if you play it smart), what if you need to prevent enemies from pushing or taking certain sectors... take that LMG or mortar and do that.

    I love that all classes now have some way of dealing with vehicles. You now don't feel powerless as a scout or medic when the tank shows up, because you can damage them... of course Assault is the main anti-vehicle class... but it feels good when you can stop tanks from repairing with K bullets and help your teammates take that metal devil faster. Also elite classes, they are debatable. I'm fine with flamethrower, tank hunter and cavalry class, as they have their role and are more acceptable than those two terminator guys. Because, beside more damage resistance they are not that much useful, and stray away a little from WW I tone.

    Speaking of vehicles they feel powerful as they should, but if you approach them right and with the good teamwork they can be dealt with. I'm not a great pilot, so I didn't spend much of my game time in the air, but the thing I love about planes, is that they now require coordination and teamwork (except when you are in a fighter plane), because you wont last long if you are alone in the bomber.
    Same thing with tanks, you have Light tank, Landship and Heavy tank aka indestructible spawn beacon :D and they can deal a lot of damage if you use them right and vice versa. And I would say to have them on the battlefield (playing with them or vs them) is more balanced and enjoyable experience than compared to BF3.
    Oh what about behemoths and horses? SO MUCH FUN... especially horses, who are not there just for historical reasons, as they can do a lot of damage to infantry if you catch them in the open. Behemoths are great addition and give more depth to the gameplay, but I think they need some balancing.

    What is a good game without good maps and modes right? And I can just say I'm in love with all maps, with Monte Grappa being my favorite (because it reminds me of my village, minus the fortress :D ). They are trully amazing and have great atmoshpere, with all the different parts and areas that favors one gameplay over the other, dynamic weather that can change a flow of the game, great job Dice. Also we get the new game mode, Operations, that became instant classic for players, thou it needs some balancing in terms of number of attack and behemoths, because it's easier to defend and win the operation, due to fact that it takes across 2 maps.

    Damn, there is so much to talk about and I'm over 4000 characters...

    I think I covered basic thinks that I liked about games, now some thinks that I don't like, or have mixed feelings, and hope they would get fixed/rebalanced/added...

    More guns please! Yea, we have a lot of guns on the list, but in fact it's 4-5 weapons in each class with different variant (different, scope, better hipfire etc.). I can't said I'm bored of current guns, but having a more options to choose from is a plus for me. Give us a little more customization options (I'm not talking about cosmetics), I know it's not that accurate in terms of history, but If we can have Terminators in game, why can't we have a few extra iron sights options? Where are Russia, France... and Yugoslavia, where all of this started? Singleplayer is good at moments but it's short and don't have time to develop, It's a shame, because it had potentials.
    Give us option to change and customize loadouts in menu, not just in browser or in game.
    Battlepacks are good addition especially when you don't have to pay real money for them but more skins and craftable weapons would be nice.

    The campaign in total will take about 5 an a half hours long to complete give or take, all depending on how often you die..
    And you will... a lot, as this game is brutal even on its normal difficulty…
    If you’re an aggressive players, you’re not going to do too well in all but 1 chapter as you can only take about 3 hits and you’re dead… and the checkpoints can be complete garbage at time...
    Especially considering how large locations are…
    For the most part, this isn’t just a run and gun linear shooter… when you touch ground you’re on a massive battlefield crawling with enemies…
    You have the choice to mark them all from a vantage point... sneak around them all with distractions or just avoiding them, sneak behind them for a quiet melee… get involved in a gun fight, the option for the most part is up to you, but there are many sections that force you to clear the area of enemies..
    Gunplay in this game can be pretty frustrating as again... 3 shots and you’re dead…
    all cover can be destroyed including houses, you do regenerate health, but it feels like an eternity before it will start, and hit detection in this game is far from perfect…
    Keep in mind I’m talking single player here.. Meaning internet connection isn’t at fault...
    Many times my bullets would go right through enemies doing no damage at all…
    But I only found this to be the case in single player, no noticeable problems in multiplayer...
    There are also annoying enemy variants like flamethrower guys and heavy armor guys who are invulnerable to bullets…
    You can kill the heavy with a grenade, but the flamethrower guy is invulnerable against bullets and grenades... he can only be killed by shooting his tank…
    Which you’d think a grenade would be fine for this, but no.. it’s not… really breaking immersion throwing in video gamey enemies like this when everything else feels so real…
    The camera would also get a little awkward when I would try to run and find cover, which is a real frustration when you’re taking part in a section of the chapter with tanks or the armored train…
    Especially since again, the checkpoints are so unforgiving and they can all instakill your character…
    These sections take time.. A lot of time… and patience... as well as a handful of other stealthy sections that can sometimes feel like they’re plucked out of a hitman game with their punishment for detection…
    These levels are absolutely gorgeous though, and I cared about all 6 characters during my brief time with them…
    The single player gameplay just unfortunately lacks a hint of polish which stops the campaign from ever wowing me…
    What did wow me however was the multiplayer…
    The maps are well designed.. The mayhem of zeppelins, tanks, horses, and airplanes is almost magic…
    You never really think of perspective in multiplayer games... people are usually for the most part doing the same thing as you, but better or worse…
    A bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off…
    Here however, it’s such a great feeling to sit back and realize that everything you see going on, is another person having an entirely different perspective than you are…
    Controlling airships.. Planes…taking them out... riding horseback into a battle zone…
    It really breathes life into the competitive gaming realm…
    Battlefield essentially has 6 different game types…
    domination with is your typical capture and hold, rush witch is an attack and defend game, team death match where most kills wins… , war pigeons which is essentially a capture the flag match.. Get the pigeon, release the pigeon, and stop enemies from doing the game.
    conquest, which is capture and hold but with complete mayhem going on… a true feeling of war…
    and finally operations, which gives a back story to each of the fighting locations.. Here you either try to gradually capture all sections by capturing and holding 1 to 3 separate spots of a map or defend these sections by filling a kill counter...
    Battlefield offers something here for everyone… a solid single player experience good enough to stand on its own... and a brilliant multiplayer that brings the multiplayer genre to new heights...

    Best BF experience since BFBC2. This game is one of the few online FPS experiences that actually has feeling/emotion in it. From the flames burning up a screaming shotgunner to the bomber pilots jeering to each other after a successful bombing run. Well worth the money and if you are a fan of FPS or multiplayer you should pick it up.

    Most conquest maps are great except for 2 maps - they are for puxxy snipers only. In conquest everybody will be busy doing something and there is no meat grinder locations where everyone just stuck there spamming explosives. There are enough covers so that sniping puxxxies will not dominate the map.

    Rush mode is fun again, although I kinda miss the 32/48 ppl server.

    TDM is now **** not enough ppl in the server to kill, and there are ppl leaving all the time.. We serious need 48 ppl TDM back again.

    Operation is kinda okay to play. Expect meat grinders here and there.

    Graphics are epic as always. Single player mode is awesome and story rich. No game breaking bugs so far. There are Hackers though, without private servers, it is bad - nobody can kick them out. Fxxk the hackers.

    I was a bit on the fence when I played the BETA, I'm not sure why they picked the worst map for that. After seeing the reviews and picking up the game, I can say it's by far the best BF game yet! The 4 distinct campaigns are fantastic, and the new multiplayer gamemode "Operations" is the best thing to ever happen to the BF series.

The guns, for the most part, are pretty darn realistic to their real counterparts. The game is new and some need to be nerfed or buffed, but Dice is pretty good at doing that. The game feels full at purchase, at least it did for me.

    Now before we get to multiplayer lets talk Campaign. BF1 tells the story of WWI from a number of different characters. The campaign's stories are great, though sadly there are no levels from the other side's point of view. I am hoping that the German guy aiming his rifle at the first character will turn out to be the narrator of some expansion campaign or something in the future, but that is not set in stone. The campaign for sure is Multiplayer training, each story teaches you different styles and tactics for playing online. There is a tank heavy campaign and a plane heavy campaign, that are both quite fun, engaging, and teach you how to use the war devices.

    Multiplayer is great, I really have not had many issues with the launch of the game. A few guns are too OP at the moment and could a good nerfing, but the game plays very well. The maps are pretty fun. And the new objective mode is fantastic! If you have ever played Red Orchestra it is pretty much that game mode! Imagine a conquest where you really have to work together to push forward into enemy territory or push back the assaulting armies.

    Easily the best Battlefield to date. I'm only 25 hours in but I can see myself spending more time with 1 than any previous Battlefield game.

    Two of my friends started BF4 couple months back and had a really hard time. With BF1 they are doing much better so to a degree it's easier for new players.

    Magnificent!! even the campaign alone is worth the purchase just for the experience of it, besides the endless hours of multiplayer. Its really polished from the menus to on screen action. Works perfect with a controller, runs brilliant this is no console port either. Its just is everything you want from a WW1 game, fits the fantasy of being in a warzone its that good.

    Just finished the campaign intro and the first 2 chapters and came here to confirm that this game has very high standards in terms of realisation, and directing. The episodes I played through actually engaged me emotionally through the war stories, good acting, dialogue writing and music. Just Wow!! Jumping right back into action!

The gameplay is exactly how we would expect from a BF game, and although the nature of the weapons make them less precise than their modern counterparts, it seems they are finely tuned and are very rewarding to master.

I honestly have no idea how they pulled it off. It's miraculous. I would contend that the game is possibly the most well optimized game, pound for pound, that has been released in the last 9 years.    … Expand

DICE and EA have pumped a gem of a game. my only complaint is the lack of singleplayer which I hope includes more stories in the upcoming dlc packs, and some maps are geared way to much for Scouts.     The game is absolutely everything COD isnt & that's great. It's chaotic, beautiful, so many choices, and team work is crucial. There have been so many times where you just die from nowhere & at first it's annoying, but then you realize that's how war is and the feel that they bring.

    The multiple game modes are pretty fun as well.

    This is by far the best Battlefield campaign (except for the Bad Company games). There are several amazing short stories that aren't as historically accurate as I had hoped, but they are still amazing stories and gameplay is fantastic!

    10/10 Best singleplayer in years!

    After a total 24 hours of mixed single player and multiplayer game i can finally say that this game has been one of the best Battlefield games since Bad Company 2.     I've played every Battlefield game from BF2 onwards for the PC. This is by far my favourite. The guns require more skill to use than the other games IMO and the map designs are the best yet, apart from the 1 open desert map that was in the beta you don't have to worry about tanks dominating, or attack helicopters from other battlefield games. The graphics are amazing and immersive, yetI've played every Battlefield game from BF2 onwards for the PC. This is by far my favourite. The guns require more skill to use than the other games IMO and the map designs are the best yet, apart from the 1 open desert map that was in the beta you don't have to worry about tanks dominating, or attack helicopters from other battlefield games.     Wonderfully smooth and the graphics are brilliant. It's so refreshing to be able to use guns that have flaws and recoil, you can no longer snipe with assault rifles or LMGs, and the scout class has moved away from a camping class (although I acknowledge people still use it for that) but has    Next generation shooter, with the details that have made Battlefield so popular to many players.

    everything i wanted and more This is the Battlefield I have always been waiting for.

    Finally, I don't feel that "fat character lag" that I always experience in the past BF.
    Now it's as fluid as a Counter-Strike or COD can be.

    All that with amazing graphic, building destruction, and all the tank etc...

    Finally a game that is polished at launch !

    The best release from BF BC 2, the game is just awesome...., playing with a old gtx 680 and i have good performance playing this, no problems with drop fps or something all run ok and nice.

BF2 was the pinnacle and with EA's changes to 2142 and their move to focus on the consoles, Bad Company 2 was the last "true" BattleField title. The BF3 & BF4 releases were graphically accomplished, but highly unpolished products (browser plugin for matchmaking) with less of, well pretty much every part of the battlefield mechanic.I had lost faith in the BattleField franchise on the PC.     So what has BF1 done to turn it around? Well, the matchmaking and game selection is all part of the game, not a bolt on, so it feels like a finished product. The game contains the whole interface.
    The single-player campaign is very enjoyable and is an excellent preparation for the on-line game.
    The maps are wide and varied with a good selection of weather, vehicles and mobile spawns. The game encourages teamwork and while not intuitive, the interface enables plenty of customisation for your player classes. I am lucky enough to have a top-end PC, so the game runs smoothly on maximum settings and looks amazing, but my sons both have older Core i5's with much cheaper graphics cards - however they are able to run the game at acceptable frame-rates.
    Overall the game is a strong move in the right direction, reclaiming the earlier glory days of the BattleField name.
    On the downside, there are currently few servers. Some nights you cannot get on a game. Why? From past experience it's most likely EA dictating who can host servers (and therefore pumping up the prices).

    Also don't expect any historical accuracy - it's "in the style of world war one" more than based on anything real. But to be fair, who was expecting it would be anything else?

    The game is mostly set in 1917/1918 and doesn't include (as yet) most of the major battles. So no Gallipoli (1915), no Marnes (1914), no Serbian Campaign (1914), no Verdun (1916), no Somme (1916), no Spring Offensive (1918) and no Hundred days (1918).

    The maps in the game are Fao Fortress (1914), Suez (1915), Monte Grappa (1917), Argonne Forest (1918), St. Quentin Scar (1918), Sinai Desert (1915-1918) and Amiens (1918).

    If you're a fan of the BF franchise, you'll enjoy this title.    … Expand

The gameplay is more than I expected - not just aim and shoot on rails, there, vehicles, various approaches to an objective and my favourite part so far - the tanks.Being a crew member of a tank in WWi must have been a horrible experience and BF1 gives you a very accurate depiction of that.
    Another thing that the game highlights very well is the cruelty of the war - you play a little and you get shot and die, like so many did on the battlefields of WWI.
    I give it 9/10 as there are a few nitpicks for the PC version - there's 0 advanced settings in game such as AA modes or SSAO etc - you can tweak that through Geforce Experience but it would have been better if there was a setting in game. THe game doesn't lose a point for that as the engine is very well optimised and I get >100fps on GTX1080 at 2560x1440 Ultra settings all the time.
    At the moment, according to the game, I am 'offline' (even as I am writing and posting this review). I have still ways to go before I finish SP campaign, but it seems that the servers have died under load, at least in my region, so minus 1 point for that, let's hope they resolve it soon enough.
    Another thing I don't like is the need to have Origin client running - the pre-load crashed 1/3rd through and I had to start from scratch. I have hundreds of games on Steam and it's a shame that EA insist on Origin.
    Overall a very good game and worth the admission price and a few hiccups.    … Expand

    BF1 is a refreshing change of pace from the scores of modern military and future warfare FPS games that have been released as of late. there are many good things about this game but also some bad.

    LETS START WITH THE GOOD - Beautiful graphics and sound - the new time period and all the maps, vehicles, weapons and gadgets that it brings with it - new game mode that is on par with    BF1 is a refreshing change of pace from the scores of modern military and future warfare FPS games that have been released as of late. there are many good things about this game but also some bad.

    LETS START WITH THE GOOD
    - Beautiful graphics and sound
    - the new time period and all the maps, vehicles, weapons and gadgets that it brings with it
    - new game mode that is on par with conquest/rush
    - War air ship/ Armored train and Battleship behemoths
    - A good but short single player

    NOW THE BAD
    - The random bullet deviation on SMGs and LMGs, there is also RBD on semi auto rifles if you fast fire, I understand that they do this since its a WW1 game and they don't want everyone running around with a LMG but i could think of other ways they could have done this, such as increasing the recoil of SMGs and LMGs by alot, as it is i think the random bullet deviation takes some skill out of fire fights.

    - there is some work to be done with weapon balancing and i have noticed some weird lag with the planes but that should be fixed in time.

    well that's what i think about BF1, its overall a very good game but the random bullet deviation is consistently annoying and is pretty much my only big gripe with the game so far.    … Expand

    WW2 game in WW1 skin. It has issues, but less than BF4 at launch. And DICE fixed BF4 eventually, I'm confident that most issues get fixed here too. Single player is short, not worth it unless you play multiplayer.

It is this 'richness' that is why I can recall all of the fun moments I had playing BF1942 when I was younger. This game is the perfect balance between fun and play-ability, yet it is gritty and emotive.

    - Combat is varied and no one person has the best load out.
    - Guns are a joy to use and their weaknesses become charms or quirks to master.
    - Vehicles are polished to look at and to operate.
    - Weather effects make for a dynamic situational combat. (big maps can become close quarters)
    - Arsenal variety: Gas grenades, Limpet mines, Hatchets, Trip-wires, Air-motors, the list goes on...
    - ...Pigeons.

    Negatives:
    - Multiple variations on the same weapon seem a little misplaced.
    - Class rank unlocks are strange - lots of reward up to 5 and then nothing until 10.
    - Holding to skip revive time is a little frustrating but I see how it benefits the medic class.
    - Price - It's high but for all you get, the phrase 'just take my money' comes to mind.
    P.S. Hold off on Season Pass - Deluxe is enough.

    I wanted to give the review a 9.5 because it is much closer to perfect than a 9 would have you believe. The critic score of 88 is spot on.

    Good single player campaign. I enjoy it very much. I don't play the multiplayer aspect of it so no comment there. It is on sale on Playstation so for about $22 definitely worth it.

    All I can say is just.....WOW! Best looking shooter in the last few years and by far the best battlefield game yet. (or at least since BF Bad Company 2) For the first time it looks like Dice nailed a perfect single player campaign too.

Only 9 maps is just like a **** And it has only 6 playable maps because the other maps is just terrible. For example Fao Fortress. The graphics is just awesome.     Battlefield 1 is an amazing game. The multiplayer is amazing. Some teamwork elements like dropping ammo and healing teammates. Buy this game now or you are missing out.
