For those who have not played Madden NFL for a few years, the new episode may be the right opportunity to start over. The Franchise mode has been rearranged and the direction taken seems to be the right one, while the gameplay, waiting for the adjustments in the secondary, is appreciated for a renewed physics in the inertia of the players' movements and for an AI that in more than one opportunity surprised us positively. The magic of the new generation has been little seen for now: Madden NFL 22 is still a good game to watch even if it was legitimate to expect something more. In general, our advice is to wait for EA Tiburon to fix bugs and glitches: time is up and the season has just started.

Labyrinth Legend's conversion to Nintendo Switch does nothing but show the limits of a product designed for the mobile market. In fact, we are faced with an action RPG hybridized with roguelike elements with little playful and narrative depth, whose progression becomes monotonous and repetitive already after the first stages of the game.

Hindsight offers an experience lasting only a few hours, but with a strong emotional value. Despite an essential gameplay to say the least, Joel McDonald's creation flows smoothly and without uncertainty, without generating boredom or giving in to monotony. Only at the center of the scene, the fluctuating relationship between Mary and her mother turns into the stage chosen by the team to tell the importance of empathy and the continuous search for mutual understanding. An inner journey that lives on the border between the USA and Japan, Hindsight looks to an audience of curious gamers, willing to sacrifice articulated interactivity for a few hours in favor of a markedly intimate story.

Warcraft Rumble turned out to be a surprisingly deep and engaging strategic experience. Despite some technical drawbacks, the game has managed, in our opinion, to fit into the crowded market of "tower offense" titles for mobile devices thanks to an unexpected depth of gameplay mechanics and its very refined graphic style . Those who are willing to overcome the obstacles of monetization and a difficulty curve that is not perfectly balanced will find themselves faced with an excellent product, capable of entertaining for hours and hours.

If you are absolutely terrified of visions of flesh and gore, you should even more consider giving Ebb Software's video game a chance: you may be amazed by your own reactions. Wrath of the Druids is ultimately good add-on content for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla Season Pass. The Irish expansion packs a challenging and stimulating experience, and in terms of quantity, the content offered in the DLC proved to be more than satisfactory. However, it is in substance that Eivor's new adventure would have needed a greater refinement: the narrative component, more linear and less disorganized than the English countryside, lends itself to several drops in pace while offering some interesting characters.

If you loved the first Code Vein, Code Vein 2 is a safe bet. The formula remains true to itself, but is placed in a broader and more refined context, with evident improvements in narrative, combat, and level design, without ever betraying the identity of the original work. However, some known issues remain, most notably a progression system that tends to become unbalanced too quickly, making the experience more forgiving than expected and dampening some of the tension of the battles. Code Vein 2 is therefore a strongly distinctive action RPG that prefers to refine its formula rather than reinvent itself. A solid evolution, stylistically successful and full of possibilities, recommended especially for those looking for an experience with an anime aesthetic and not a revolution of the genre.

Atomic Heart tries to do everything it can and wants: in fact, it offers a combat system that mixes firearms and powers, and then lowers everything into an open world that is a bit of an end in itself. The possibility of building custom builds is not lacking, just as there is a very detailed crafting system. Yet the gameplay ends up stumbling when the extreme dynamism of the droids is contrasted by the heavy movements of P-3 (and the use of Polymers is not enough to change the cards on the table). In terms of artistic direction, on the other hand, the title of Mundfish finds its maximum expression, also thanks to the good lighting system. Just like its predecessor, High on Life 2 is an imperfect game that, despite its rough edges, manages to entertain and amuse from start to finish. The bounty hunter's escapades in this new guise as a fugitive are even crazier than those seen in the fight against the G3 cartel, the new Gatlians are hilarious, and there's no shortage of plot twists that, on more than one occasion, shake up the narrative. Thanks to a very pleasant visual and sound component (with some hesitations during the more challenging mini games, especially those in the company of Yor), Operation Memories knows well which audience to address and hits the target overall, but it should be played in small doses. In this sense, the Nintendo Switch version is the one most suitable for hit-and-run games: on the other hand, repetitiveness arises quickly if you don't experience the daily life of the Forgers little by little. The idea of immersing ourselves in the lightness of the slice of life aspect of Spy x Family is a winning one, and in this respect Bandai-Namco's work is a constant hymn to good humor, where fan service reigns supreme. However, the somewhat invasive internal currency system and a gameplay loop that quickly tends towards redundancy do not allow Operation Memories to express its maximum potential.
