Worth the wait, Final Fantasy XV turns out to be the anti-Duke Nukem Forever, in that it actually delivers on most - if not all - of its promises.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is Sandfall Interactive's debut game, and what a debut! The engaging emotional story grabs you right away, the combat is delightful and the unique play styles for each character make it continuously interesting. Add to that a wonderful soundtrack and brilliant experience and it could hardly get any better. That there are some minor flaws we'll take for granted, because this game is definitely worth it.

Challenging, intriguing and extremely dark... Bloodborne is an experience that nobody should miss out on. A masterpiece.

The battles in co-op are fun and the soundtrack is cool. That is the only thing we can say in a positive sense about Babylon's Fall. Otherwise, the game falls short on all fronts. The story is not very interesting, the graphics are horrible and the combat system is very standard so you get little pleasure from it. A game that in concept certainly sounded interesting, but is in practice very disappointing.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 continues on the foundation of the previous two games, augmented by new environments, features and combat. This provides more variety and the web slinging is even more refined thanks to new features. Still, the game is more of the same at some parts, and at a technical level there are some issues. That being said, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a delightful game that every PlayStation gamer should definitely play.

After the hilarious and hectic insanity that was part 1, its sequel is even grander, more complete and provides even more entertainment. Gameplay remains as chaotic as ever but the additional amount of content makes sure it stays fresh for quite a while. Playing with some friends online is definitely the preferred way of playing Overcooked 2 but even when you're playing solo this game is still a blast.

The most enjoyable near-death experience you're likely to get, though you'll suffer almost as much from the loading times than you'll do from dying over and over again.

Hell is Us isn't a one-size-fits-all game, and that's precisely what makes it so powerful. Rogue Factor clearly poured a lot of love into its production. The game relies on you to take the time to explore, solve puzzles, and find your way, sometimes leading you to get lost in the beautiful environments, each with its own unique story. The combination of mystery and unknowing, the unique environments, an interesting combat system, and the immersive audiovisual experience give the game its unique character. While a bit more variety in weapons and enemies wouldn't have hurt, these elements more than compensate. Combined with a relatively reasonable price tag, Hell is Us delivers an unforgettable experience that's both challenging and memorable, provided the game's premise appeals to you. A clear recommendation.

A fantastic little gem from a little Dutch developing studio... It's only got one level, true, but it's replay value is uncanny, and gameplay and level design form a superb tag team.

Tekken 7 doesn't quite deliver the storyline punch fans of the franchise were promised, but purely as a 3D fighting game, you really can't do any better than this.

If you're a fan of the previous editions, you should definitely get this. The stories and atmosphere are still great and the graphical updates really add to the experience. However, the camera's still lacking in places, which is a shame.

An intuitive camera turns Wayward Sky, much to our surprise, into one of the most enjoyable games for PlayStation VR yet.

Matterfall is brief, but intense; a highly memorable experience that offers outstanding visuals and great replay value.

Simple, but funny; clumsy, but captivating - especially in the story department. Sometimes it doesn't have to be more than this.

A great finale to a series that wasn't always as convincing as it should be, this sixth episode combines everything that made the Hitman games great and puts Agent 47 back on the map.

The co-op mode is great, giving the game a lot of replay value. The rest of Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide is fine as well, except for the lackluster framerate.

Gran Turismo 7 is an interactive museum and encyclopedia where you can discover and learn a lot about cars. At the same time, it also provides you with an excellent racing experience thanks to the variety of cars, races, depth and more. The single player is worthwhile, online racing is cool and it is visually really enjoyable. Downside is that the AI sometimes doesn't take you into account and rallying is also very limited. And where is the damage model? These are some points to consider, but know that the gameplay itself in terms of racing is almost sublime and that makes this game compulsory for car enthusiasts.

A wonderful VR adventure with truly impressive graphics and an interesting world to explore, dragged down somewhat by a minor lack of excitement.

House of Ashes is the best Dark Picture yet, with an interesting setting, well-developed characters, some truly harrowing scenarios and the usual creativity in the deaths department. If you liked the other ones, you'll definitely love this.

The story isn't quite as interesting as it used to be and the game's multiplayer mode feels a bit tacked on, but don't let that stop you. Yakuza Kiwami is still very much worth your time and sincerely recommended to both fans of and newcomers to the franchise.

The Doom Slayer is back in yet another violent and fast-paced adventure that stands out in the medieval setting. With new elements such as the shield and dragon, the game brings innovation that makes for a lot of fun. Also because the game is packed with content and technically excellent performance. The story on the other hand is not really special and in essence it is mostly more of the same, but don't let that stop you from playing the game.

Like the original, The Escapists 2 delivers both a creative and challenging videogame that will keep fans of the first game busy for a long time to come.

Ghost of Tsushima isn’t perfect, due to a clumsy lock-on system and repetitive mission design, though at times it comes damn close. It’s a truly beautiful adventure with a strong lead character, deep combat and an engaging world. Definitely worth picking up.

It's a bit simple on the gameplay side of things, but Get Even still delivers an engaging story in an expert way, with often brilliant voice-acting and beautiful graphics. Don't let this one fly under your radar!

Despite simple puzzles and less than convincing stealth segments, The Pathless delivers a sensational adrenaline rush with its core gameplay. It runs like a dream and looks the part too. Definitely worth checking out.

About as addicting as Bomberman, Towerfall Ascension completely caught us by surprise with its retro look, it's well-implemented co-op mode and downright fantastic platforming. Get this.

The Ratchet & Clank games still hold up today. The platform series is a great Vita experience, with beautiful graphics and the characteristic gameplay we've come to know and love. It's a shame the cut-scenes look a little outdated and we don't understand why the developer chose to leave out the multiplayer mode from Ratchet & Clank 3, but otherwise we're very pleased with this handheld collection.

Being Batman, the world's greatest detective, never gets old, even if the actual experience won't last all that long.

The price tag is a bit steep, yet if you want a great virtual reality experience, you should look no further.

The game presents you with a fascinating murder mystery that is very interesting to experience. The hilarious dialogues bring a fresh undertone to it and the same can be said about the puzzles and other gameplay elements. This is a rather unique experience and the graphical mediocrity has to be taken for granted, as well as the fact that you sometimes have to guess a little too much. However, these are small blemishes on an otherwise excellent whole.

It’s been a while, but Tales of Arise is finally here. And you know what? It was worth the wait. This is one hell of an RPG, with an epic story drenched in adventure and atmosphere. The combat is accessible, yet deep and challenging, and the journey takes you to some truly remarkable places. Shame the sidecontent isn’t always quite as interesting.

Don't let the slow start of the episode fool you; this is quite a ride, ending on a spectacular cliffhanger that will leave any fan desperate for more.

It's been eighteen years since the last one, but we're finally able to play Shenmue III. Guess what? It was worth the wait! Granted, the frequent framerate drops and numerous pop-ins are annoying shortcomings, but the authentic style, superb combat and worthy graphics more than make up for this.

A lot of people have complained about the look of the new Devil May Cry and frankly, they should just play the game instead. Ninja Theory has changed things up quite a bit, but they haven't touched the core of the franchise. DmC is an excellent hack & slash game which has a few problems, but then again: nobody's perfect.

Developers worldwide, pay attention: this is how you do DLC. As innovative as it is addictive, XCOM 2: War of the Chosen not only manages to meet expectations... It thoroughly exceeds them.

DOOM is an awesome return to form, not just for the franchise but also for the old school shooter genre. A triumph, held back only by lengthy loading times and a slight lack of depth in the single-player campaign. Not that these nitpicks matter when you're shooting demons left and right with a big grin on your face.

A joy to play, as ever - though we could've done without the clear-as-day influence of the PS3.

Ten times the colours, ten times the content... if you don't mind a bit of repetitiveness every now and then, you'll love this sequel.

Strangely enough, it's become easier to score goals and more difficult to avoid them... Which, at times, turns FIFA 18 into an absurd festival of goals. However, if you don't mind an occasional dose of ridiculousness, you'll definitely enjoy this newest iteration in EA's long-running franchise.

Not exactly the dream sequel fans of NieR were expecting, but still a highly enjoyable experience, thanks in part to the intriguing stories, the fluent gameplay and a wonderful soundtrack.

Finally, Tropico makes its debut on a PlayStation console and it's a great first appearance. Tropico 5 is a wonderful city builder, the mechanics of which are well-adapted to the PlayStation 4. Get this if you're a genre fan.

Although the launch of Helldivers 2 did not go smoothly on pc, the game is worth it. The game excels in co-op, is addictive, offers fine gunplay and tremendous depth. In everything, the perfect sequel. If you liked the original, you're in the right place. Newcomer and looking for a good and fun co-op game? Then Helldivers 2 is a must have.

Three great games, but that was already the case when these games came out in the PlayStation 2 era. If you haven't played them, buy this. If you have… well, I guess that depends on how much of a fan you are.

LittleBigPlanet Karting is the first racer in the LBP universe and it's immediately a success. The game is varied, filled with fun races and other gameplay aspects. The level editor works great, increasing the score even more. The only negative point we could find was the lack of challenge in the single-player, which is fortunately the only negative point.

The graphics aren't state-of-the-art and the story isn't that well-told. That said, spectacular combat and a wonderful environment to wander around in save Dragon's Dogma from the purgatory of mediocrity.

Everbody's Golf does its title justice and delivers a near perfect virtual golf experience accessible to everyone looking to shoot some holes.

Well, this is The Walking Dead alright and as a game it's a lot better than Telltales' Jurassic Park. It's not perfect, though, as the lip-synch is often a bit off and the overall length of the game leaves you wanting more. A lot more.

Persona 4 Arena was a fine spin-off and this new iteration continues the trend with more depth and a longer story mode, that, however, lacks a bit of gameplay action. Newcomers are strongly advised to start with the previous one, by the way.

This game once started as extra content and it shows, the story is on the short side at just over 10 hours. Fortunately, the game has enough to offer through its minigames and extra content to keep you entertained for a long time, although you have to reckon with somewhat mediocre pacing and remarkably, lumbering animations. With that said, by the way, we can recommend this title to any fan of the franchise.

Tense, engaging and at times truly shocking... if you love the franchise, you'll definitely enjoy this pilot episode. What's even better than the episode in itself, is the potential for some genuinely brilliant storytelling in the future of the series. Get this.

The first games from this beloved franchise are finally available on PlayStation 4 and we couldn't be happier. These games suit the PlayStation 4 well and altogether this package will guarantee hours upon hours of entertainment. All of the cases you'll deal with are very diverse and the charismatic characters will ensure you'll have a blast for a long, long time to come. Definitely recommended.

A great party racegame! You'll be crashing and burning for a very long time after buying DiRT Showdown and we assure you that you won't regret spending your hard-earned money on it.

The remake of System Shock has been a long time coming, but the result is definitely worth it. A technically solid achievement, the story is intriguing and the setting is brought out fantastically. In fact, almost everything is fine with this title, were it not for the fact that it has a very high entry threshold. It is oldschool game design and that is not something we see much of today. Also, the Cyberspace fragments are not that engaging, but these are two blemishes on an otherwise refined game.

Triangle Strategy can feel a bit overwhelming and the resolution in handheld mode is not really fine, but with these points mentioned the praise begins. Because the game provides you with a very exciting and captivating story, has a high replay value through the choices you make, has many scenarios and the tough but tactical combat is the icing on the cake. An excellent game for the Nintendo Switch.

This remake of the original Star Ocean: The Second Story picks up well. The updated visual style is pleasant to look at, and the new additions to the combat provide more variety and fun to play. Add engaging characters and an interesting story and you have an entertaining title on your hands. Content-wise, there is little to criticize, although the core gameplay is mostly button mashing and the story is also somewhat cliched, but these are only minor points of criticism.

A great online multiplayer experience and a rather uninteresting singleplayer campaign. No surprises here.

Traditional gameplay, intense and varied levels, nice visuals and an engaging soundtrack... What more could you wish for?

Whether you choose to help the citizens of Seattle or fry their brains, you'll probably be having a good time. The first time around, at least. Oh, and did we mention the graphics are absolutely stunning? Well, there you go.

The camera's a bit awkward and playing in co-op severely reduces the challenge, but other than that this is one fine action/platform game with a couple of unique bossfights and truly imaginative puzzles as the unmistakable highlights.

Blasters of the Universe is an Virtual Reality homage to the almost forgotten shmup genre. It reinvigorates the genre with panache however and the game provides an insane amount of replayability if you're willing to put time and effort into it. And get ready to break a sweat since playing this game on Hell mode will seriously wear you out. A great first title from developer The Secret Location and we want more.

Codemasters expanded last year on the 2016 base game and they're doing the same thing for the 2018 iteration. F1 2018 is the best Formula 1 game to date since there is more depth than ever, more classic cars to use and many more features. If you're a fan of the sport, you're in for a good time yet at the same time the penalty system still is as inconsistent as it ever was and the AI can pull some weird stunts from time to time.

A great collection, though the lack of any real gameplay in Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded is a weak point.

A remake of a pretty dated game which turns out very well. The story remains fantastic, especially with the addition of some new scenes. The mini games never fail to be funny either. This remake is a prime example of how to do a remake and Yakuza fans and newcomers alike can blindly purchase this game.

This expansion puts destiny 2 back on the map. Great story, beautiful destinations, awesome Supers, plenty of content, an excellent new multiplayer mode called Gambit and to top it all off a stellar new raid for you to sink your teeth in. Long story short; the Destiny 2: Forsaken DLC is exactly what you'd expect and what the base game needs. If they could only fix that framerate though.

More of the same, but since "the same" is still a lot of fun, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel remains warmly recommended.

The final episode of Life is Strange 2 brings closure, though the shape this takes depends on the choices you've made throughout the rest of the season. The different endings are more than worth it and enough to forget about the regularly hiccuping framerate.

Splatoon is back with a third installment that comes off excellently. The various new weapons, decent single player and excellent multiplayer, make this a title that will keep you entertained for a long time. Graphically it is a bit shaky, but we have to take that for granted. After all, Nintendo delivers with Splatoon 3 an excellent game that is especially great when it comes to gameplay.

Solving Simulacra's central mystery is a lot of fun, especially thanks to its authentic atmosphere, terrific jumpscares and challenging puzzles. The controls are often a bit too complex, though - probably due to its origins as a mobile game.

The sequel to Octopath Traveler goes down the same route, so it plays somewhat safe. The strong stories keep you engaged and visually it is appealing, but be aware that the performance is not optimal on the Switch. That said, there is little else to fault with the game and fans of the original can buy this title blindly.

Alan Wake Remastered is the definitive way to play Remedy's psychological horror. Its stellar action and mysterious story still hold up to this day, and a fresh coat of paint makes Bright Falls shine. With a fair price, this remaster is an absolute must for newcomers of the franchise.

Don't be deceived by first impressions, The Long Reach is a very mature and impressive adventure thanks to some powerful storytelling and some great story twists. The atmosphere makes this game a real joy to play. Even though some of the puzzles are a little bit far-fetched, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Absolutely worth it.

A worthy sequel to the original that excels for its believable and interesting characters. Add impressive set pieces and music, and you have an adventure you will enjoy to the fullest. In addition, the voice-acting is also excellent and the gameplay varied enough that you won't get bored for a second. What is noticeable is that some somewhat classic gameplay elements are used in the game, when they are not necessary, making it feel somewhat out of place. There are also some graphical issues that need to be addressed, but none of this will hinder your enjoyment of the game.

Forget about Dead Space 3, Resident Evil 6 or even Outlast... Alien: Isolation is the real deal and will definitely scare the living daylights out of you.

It's a bit cliché and at times rather buggy, but those are only minor problems in an otherwise very enjoyable game. London makes for a great setting and genuine improvements in gameplay make Syndicate another step forward in the franchise.

It's been a long time coming but Owlboy has finally landed on PlayStation 4 and we are more than glad it did. The music is phenomenal. Gameplay is varied and entertaining and the boss fights especially never cease to amaze and surprise. Towards the end of the game the challenge does become a bit too steep occasionally but don't let that stop you from playing this game because Owlboy is worth every minute of your precious time.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 builds on the foundation of the original, delivering an excellent adventure. The world is gorgeous and inviting to explore, the characters are engaging, interesting and fun, with humor not shunned. In addition, the gameplay is incredibly deep, if a bit inconsistent at times. The performance is also not always stable, but these are blemishes on a whole that is otherwise well worth playing.

Super Rude Bear Resurrection knows exactly what a good platformer needs: great level design, a dynamically spiking difficulty curve and a lovable, visual style. We could've done with a little less trial & error, though.

Although the story is sometimes a bit vague and predictable, the puzzles are anything but. This game is a looker with a fantastic atmosphere and there is plenty content for you to experience. If you played and loved titles such as Portal or The Talos Principle this title is absolutely recommended.

We didn't like going out of the animus, the mission structure gets repetitive real fast and the framerate isn't always as solid as it should be. Nevertheless, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag offers a great and varied experience, mostly thanks to the expertly designed world you get to explore.

A few graphical glitches can't spoil the fun in this great downloadable action game. It isn't cheap, but you won't regret any money you spend on it.

The game offers a unique and interesting setting which as a whole offers a very satisfying experience. The story is a puzzle in its own right which elevates the game to a level it would not have attained otherwise. The game simply takes hold of you and doesn't let go. The puzzles are a bit on the easy side though and the length of the game leaves something to be desired as well. In the end, these points of concern don't really matter because you'll like this game regardless.

The absence of a single player mode is forgiven because there is plenty here to keep you occupied online. Treyarch nails it and delivers a fantastic package with great multiplayer modes including the Zombies and Blackout modes. It still feels as the Call of Duty you know and love but somehow it also manages to innovate here and there. The game plays like a dream too.

Solid gameplay that has a lot of depth due to the new additions. Whether you're playing on- or offline, you won't get bored because of the insane amount of content. SoulCalibur VI is a fine continuation of the franchise and fight fans will love it. The arenas in which the fighting takes place sometimes feel a bit void of action apart from the one on one matches going on but don't let that detract you from what is a great game.

As good as the previous ones, especially story-wise. I can't help feeling disappointed by the amount of glitches and badly executed lip syncs though.

A great race game, which definitely puts EA's Need For Speed franchise back on the map.

The progression system is a bit off, but if you're willing to overlook that, you'll find the same blend of fun content and trial & error gameplay that the Trackmania series is known for.

The best Tekken game ever made? Hard to say, really. But it might be even harder to come up with complaints that actually matter. Visually and gameplay-wise, this is a complete package fans and other interested parties should by all means get their hands on.

Doom 3 is an old game and it definitely shows its age. If you, however, are willing to look past that obvious defect, this game will prove that it is still just as nerve-wracking as it ever was.

This is the way we like our HD remakes - a fun, nostalgic dive into the past. We're willing to overlook the lack of online options, although we don't understand why the second game wasn't included in the collection.

Stray's gameplay is unique in a way because you now play with a cat, which makes for new perspectives and a fun experience. Along with an interesting story and gorgeous environments, it's optimal enjoyment. The fact that the game is barely challenging and a bit on the short side is a blemish. However, this does not mean that you should ignore the game, because Stray is definitely worth it.

Still as much of a tactical joy as you remember. Very much worth picking up (again).

Its puzzles aren't all that challenging and the controls are clumsy, but Spirit of the North still manages to convince with an intriguing story, beautiful environments and stunning music. Simply put, a great platform experience.

A great soccer game, even though keepers still insist on doing strange things and your fellow players obviously don't know what offside means. On top of that, the graphics are mediocre at best and PES still hasn't gotten all the proper licensing. These complaints don't do much in comparison with the fun you'll have playing this game, though.

XCOM: Enemy within significantly expands on XCOM: Enemy Unknown and because of that, die hard fans or newcomers are advised to get it. It's a shame the developers didn't do anything about the bugs though, since they're still very present.

Persona 5 fans will enjoy every second of this, though they'll probably miss the life-sim aspects that made the original game stand out. It's still very much worth your while, though.

The latest iteration of Pro Evo mostly has subtle improvements and enhancements overall. Pacing is better. Players react more realistically. General gameplay is slightly improved. The way crowds react in realistically recreated stadiums immensely adds to the atmosphere. Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is an excellent footie sim which doesn't stray from previous games and offers exactly what you'd expect. The commentary is still horrible unfortunately.

This story needs to be experienced and by adding new puzzles and a character we haven't seen before, Catherine even becomes attractive to people who have already played a previous iteration of the game. In other words: this girl is still very much worth your time.

The in-depth gameplay of Aliens: Dark Descent surprises and also has good effects, making it a pleasure to play through the game. Add beautiful graphics and a fun story, and the game has everything to make it highly recommended. You do have to take into account that the controls don't always feel convenient and that building your squad could have been a bit more extensive. In the context of the bigger picture, however, these are issues that should not stop you from giving the game a chance.
