A lot more tense than the previous episode, with a nice balance between dialogue, action and looting. It's a bit shorter than we're used to, though the decrease in framerate issues more than makes up for it.

It's a shame the controls aren't very responsive and we grew tired of the framedrops by the end of the episode, though if you're willing to overlook that, you'll get a great premiere to what promises to be another brilliant season of the Walking Dead videogame. The franchise is back, and this time with a slightly different approach. No single player, and the focus is on large scale battles and creating your own experiences in Battlefield Portal. This works out well, as the unprecedented scale and dynamic gameplay is very good. It is also more accessible than ever before, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Hazard Zone mode is also a valuable addition, and the possibilities with Portal are endless. All good news, but keep in mind that there will be bugs, unstable frame rates and lag. In other words, the basis is very good, but it can still use some polishing.

Dripping with atmosphere, Mafia offers a strong story with engaging characters, great voice-acting and an intriguing setting. The game does fine in the gameplay department as well, but strafing feels a bit clunky and there's quite a bit of screen-tearing to spoil your fun. You'll still have a good time, though.

A good strategy game that plays really well and offers plenty of challenge. You end up feeling like an actual spy while playing this game and that is a big compliment to the developers. Sadly though, there are a couple of difficulty spikes throughout which causes some frustration.

The latest iteration in the franchise offers more of the same and improvements. For example, you can now create your own team, you get an even better look behind the scenes and the voiced communication is a nice touch. The game is mostly everything you already know, but just a little better and more comprehensive. At the same time, the game still has some audiovisual bugs and the negotiation system could have been better.

The combination of noir with a futuristic setting picks up well in Nobody Wants to Die, which presents you with an interesting story with fun investigations. The voice acting is also strong, making for a solid adventure that does some new things. There is little to criticize about the game per se, although the lack of chapter select is a shame and the textures are sometimes of somewhat low quality.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a delightful platformer that pays homage to the series with fantastic gameplay and, at times, eye-poppingly beautiful graphics. It is an excellent and worthwhile game, but it still suffers from bugs and crashes. In addition, the visual quality is a bit inconsistent per planet, which makes the game a bit lacking. This is a pity, but it does not change the fact that this is a title worth playing. Put it in the “very good, but not perfect” category.

An excellent compilation of the first three Super Monkey Ball games, with lots of content. A truly enjoyable trip down memory lane, with fun gameplay that will keep you busy for a long time to come. Fallen Order lives and breathes Star Wars like no current-gen game has before, with a wonderful atmosphere, challenging combat and phenomenal soundtrack. Trine 5 continues on the foundation of the previous games and offers just a bit more variety thanks to the expansion in character abilities. The puzzles are also more varied and the build-up in difficulty is enjoyable. All this together makes Trine 5 a fine platformer that we can recommend although we should note that the combat segments do not reach the level of the rest of the game.

Moving Out 2 is bigger, crazier and more fun than the previous installment. The game dishes out a lot of variety in levels and associated elements, which makes for an enjoyable experience. The surprise (free) release of We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip is a nice gesture. The somewhat shorter game offers fun puzzles and is again great to play together in co-op. Fans of the series get exactly what they expect and considering it's a free release (and later cheap paid game), it's a no brainer to try and play this title. Total War: Warhammer III's extensive campaign and additional multiplayer features will keep you as a player busy for a long time. The strategic gameplay is also in this new part very strong, which is partly due to the good balance between the factions, supplemented with new gameplay elements. That said, for now you must take into account a poor performance and a somewhat unstable online service, which will surely be fixed. Graphically it is not impressive, but fortunately the gameplay makes up for that.

Darksiders turns into a top-down hack-and-slash title... and turns out to be all the better for it. Some minor annoyances don't weigh up to the sheer amount of fun this game holds in store for you, solo or in co-op. The deep and varied combat system forms the proverbial cherry on the cake.

Sky Force Reloaded is a pleasant surprise. It's a slightly repetitive, but always challenging experience that impresses with an unconventional progression system. Fans of Resogun need not doubt.

The framerate isn't great and apparently the camera wants to kill you, but otherwise this is a great send-off for the Assassin's Creed franchise on the last-gen consoles. The environments are varied and your role as a templar is interesting. Definitely recommended.

There's a lot of depth and strategy to be found in Rainbow Six: Siege, especially when you're playing with a headset. However, the lack of content is something to be considered when pondering the game's retail price.

After two action-heavy episodes, this third part focuses more on the story. Because of this, the interaction is severely limited when compared to previous entries in the franchise, though the story and characters are more than enough to keep you entertained.

A new year, a new F1 game. This one boosts an elaborate story mode, that's somehow both clichéd and very much worth experiencing. On top of that, F1 2021 also has a number of significant improvements over its predecessor. There's still some clumsy animations, though, so take that into account.

There are some problems - an empty-looking city and an annoying fixed camera chief amongst them - but none of them really amount to much if you look at the full package that's offered here. Neo: The World Ends With You has a number of different gameplay features, each very much worth experiencing. Add to that an intriguing story and addictive soundtrack and you really can't go wrong with this game.

This is one of the best Pokémon games ever made, if not THE best. This is due to its excellent gameplay, well-crafted audio, sense of freedom and engaging adventure. What gets in the way of the experience considerably, however, is the game's lousy performance. In particular, the frame rate is a drama at times, which can be a bit annoying.

Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy brings you a fun entertaining adventure, where the emphasis is on the development of the various characters. This can be called successful and the gameplay plays both with exploration, which is very nice, and with combat. This is somewhat limited however, because the game lacks depth in terms of combat. Graphically it is also not perfect, but it must be said that visually it looks very neat thanks to the artistic style. This makes Guardians of the Galaxy a successful game that is definitely worth it for Marvel fans.
