Rise of Iron is the answer to the fans' calling for more content. It inspires gamers to play Destiny again, and all the downloadable content together make Destiny a game that is very much worth your time.

Even with its few faults, Rise of Iron is an impressive expansion. Just when everyone thought Destiny was finally dying and we were moving to the sequel, Bungie went and spiced it up again with something fun and challenging.

The story remains on the surface, which is unfortunate, since the rest of the game - new quests, missions and artefacts included - is more than interesting enough to sustain your interest.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is a weird cookie. Bungie clearly put its live team in charge on this one, as there's nowhere near the amount of completely new-feeling stuff packed in as there was in Taken King -- and with so many people getting winded, a step that big was really needed. Yet, if I assess Destiny right now as a total package, with four expansions under its belt and hundreds of [good] tweaks and patches, it's easier to recommend.

Rise of Iron breathes new life into a game that was starting to get old. This expansion pack is filled with enough new contents and modes to keep players engaged again.

There's few bigger additions in Rise of Iron and the latest expansion certainly won't make you feel like you're playing a brand new game, but gathering fresh loot and discovering secrets can still be engaging.

In the end, Rise of Iron is literally just more Destiny. It doesn’t address any of the issues that you might have had with the original, and it doesn’t really flush out the existing world either. It is simply a new set of story missions, a strike, some quests, and another raid.

DestinyOriginal destiny reflected problems, but also pointed out what people could expect of the series and how easily was fall in love. Destiny features spot-on first person controls – the best a console has ever seen. Rise of Iron, as TTK before, brings more of the expected Y1 promises - a living changing world, with great storytelling in a great fantasy world. All with improved looks. amazing arsenal of weapons and a gorgeous world to explore – all wrapped in the particularly RPG trappings that fans have learned to loved for years. Gameplay? The best, as always was! Expand

The story of Iron Banner is deep with lore and nostalgia even though I have only played since The Taken King. No spoilers, but some of the quests are quite fun. I must say that the score for this expansion is AMAZING. Expand

Seeing as this is the last intended expansion for Destiny 1 the introduction of a new race could of been the perfect bridge to Destiny 2. A squandered opportunity on Bungie's part to add an added level of anticipation to the coming of the next Destiny.

While the story is rather ho-hum high fantasy nonsense, it does at least peak your interest...But and it's a big but. The voice acting is dry, poorly timed and badly written, with some of the same corny script work that plagued the original act of Destiny Year One.

It's worth buying if your a Destiny fan, if you're Destiny fan, you've already bought it anyways.

Even it's raid, the Wrath of the Machine, which is supposed to be the one true gauntlet of content was allegedly smashed in under two hours. Either it was designed far too shallow or we, as a community, have grown far too accustomed to Destiny and it's time to move on to the sequel. For the completionist it would a tough pill to swallow at £25, everyone else should not consider it until the price falls to the £10-15 or price cut bundle. Expand

Completed main quest line in under two hours. I don't get how they can charge $30 for this with such a lack of content. Unless you REALLY want to see the Raid, do not buy. Rise of Iron is arguably shallower of content, depth and meaning than The Dark Below was. Which, by the way, TDB had more of a story than RoI. Save your money. Expand

Copy and pasted guns, content, game play, old locations, and even more reskined enemies. Literally the same stuff different day. Still a mediocre story (about 2 hours long). The "expansion" Pack which is more of a patch should have been free. barely any new content and the content we got is copy and pasted literally. Feels more of a cash grab sadly which is why im giving it a fat O/10 Expand
