There’s a synergy and balance between the story, controls, and gameplay that make this a genuinely standout space adventure perfect for any fans of the genre.

Chorus is a surprisingly traditional space combat game with great combat and an engaging, if dry, story. No multiplayer nonsense, no ship skins, no in-game purchases just a solid single player space shooter and we're here for that all day, every day.

A bit of a surprise, this one, a full-blooded space shooter that could sometimes throw a bit less at you but in the end stays fun and engaging. What a debut for the inexperienced team!

Chorus is a frantic and rather challenging space shooter, with many different enemies and nice boss fights but also complex controls that will literally make you intertwine your fingers during the more challenging and blasphemous clashes.

Despite a few flaws, in particular with regard to the structure of the scenario, the excessive presence of dialogues, an insignificant soundtrack and framerate drops, Chorus is the nice surprise of the end of 2021.

Chorus is a mostly good game, with excellent dogfighting and gameplay that always feels fun to pull off. It also looks gorgeous and can make for an entertaining narrative, even if it's not really breaking the mold too much with its plot. Still, it's almost tragic how poorly the game's ending lets down the rest of the solid work that made everything else about it so brilliant.

Chorus' stellar space combat is brought down by a myriad of design choices that range from frustrating to outright annoying.

Great visuals with marvelous 60 fps! It was so long since I had such a joy piloting a space ship! Most gamers abandoned the game before obtaining what make the game even greater ! We can see this via the trophies !

This game looks amazing.. but play amazingly too !! Learn the use of L1 and you'll discover an incredibly pleasing gameplay ! You'll quickly become a piloting master and you'll want more and more !! I'm 46 and this game enter in my top 10 all time best space games !!

When so many gamers praise the game.. you know that the problem of the people who gave it 0 or very bad rate is.. themselves.. (most of the time, even the review text reveal where the problem actually is.. )

This game deserve a 8.5 or even 9 out of 10. Sadly I have to give it a 10 to counter these ridiculous and pathetical 0..

Perhaps best described as a AA version of No Man's Sky meets Control, Chorus sets its players in vast asteroid belts in search of collectiblesPerhaps best described as a AA version of No Man's Sky meets Control, Chorus sets its players in vast asteroid belts in search of collectibles and side missions, all while the protagonist Nara attempts to repent for past sins and tragedies. While the writing and story direction don't ensnare the player with the incessant itch to progress, elements of the narrative are reminiscent of Control, complete with audible voices in Nara's head directing many of her actions. The graphics and performance are nothing short of a spectacle — the draw distance and equally appropriate photo mode are absolutely unparalleled. Anyone in search of a fun, customizable, and downright difficult space-action gameplay will not go wrong here. In a sea of buggy releases and unfinished products, Chorus shines as a polished, stunning visual and immersive experience set in various open-space environments. Expand

The story was a bit of a push to get through. But the feel of the game was strong, the controls were tight once you got the hang of them, and you were very quickly feeling like a space badass. I'm usually far more of a sim guy in terms of space stuff, but this was an arcadey world I could get lots in and enjoy. Expand

I think this game does certain things very well, but is definitely held back by some lacking design choices.

    Pros
-Smooth combat and very few glitches
    - Gaining abilities over time, which makes Nara/Forsa more powerful, and well designed.
    - Overall atmosphere is very good and serious tone
    - Did like the enemy variety for the most part

    Cons
-Voice acting for the most part is forgettable, other than when Nara and Forsa complete eachother's sentences
    - Characters are bland
    - Lack of music, and where there is music it's not memorable
-Very hard to determine enemies and objects on screen at times
    - Some of the big fights are way too difficult at times as there's too much going on the screen and annoying to dodge
    - Open environment needed more icons/markers as it would ALWAYS be annoying to find the upgrade shop
    - Story is hard to understand at times. I had difficulties keeping up with the storyline and references that Nara would make, and didn't get what was happening in cutscenes. Due to lack of a good storyline, kind of hard to feel connected to the story and can become a bore to get through the story
    - Hearing Nara's "thoughts/whisperering" got annoying after awhile and still don't understand why it was so heavily used.
    -somewhat disappointing ending

Overall, the game is worth a playthough, but definitely recommend to get it on sale. The game does need improvements to make it have replayability.

Whilst most of it works, and the fighting is decent, there are some seriously badly designed part to the game, and i found it funny that when i was half way through, when i completed one of the missions it i was in the top 5%, which meant that 95% of ppl who played this, didn't even bothered to get that far, and i completly understand them.

Badly designed part, you never know where the objective is, you'll think they'll mark out where you need to go and how to get there to do your mission right? No, or you in combat, and you need to shoot somethign specific, that'll be highlighted right? No, You'll think because they forced you to do a mission on how to dodge, that when you press the dodge button, it dodges right? No. You'll think if they force you to do a mission inside a really small cave, they'll brigten it, so that you can see where the walls are, so you don't crash? No.

I think i made it maybe 80% through, but it was one of the hardest slog I've ever did getting that far, and none of it was because the game was hard, all of it was because it so badly designed, that every 10 sec, i'll mumble tomyself, who the f, designed this, why is this fking game so stupid.
