One of the first real reasons to buy PS5. This intergalactic adventure of famous series is full of great gameplay, inventive game design, gripping story, and great characters. It's a game for everyone who owns PS5. Actually, it’s a game for everyone.

Rift Apart is a technical showcase, but it's also one of the finest 3D action platformers since Jak and Daxter. Insomniac consistently proves that the Ratchet and Clank series is a wellspring of potential, and they've delivered a complete experience that's as full of heart as it is surprises.

Ratchet And Clank Rift Apart is an excellent game, very fun and sets the bar very high. With a nervous and devilishly effective gameplay and its sublime and bluffing universe of life, it is undoubtedly the one we were waiting for. The breathtaking rhythm between each stunning cinematic. A video game that offers the perfect blend between a Pixar and pure Ratchet. Too bad that Rivet does not come out more in its gameplay because it is a superb character.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an exceptional entry in the storied franchise. It doesn’t reinvent the series, but instead uses Insomniac's decades of experience to create a familiar and refined take on the universe. Newcomer Rivet is immediately relatable and a great addition to the wonderful cast. Modern technology like the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and SSD enrich the experience of exploration and combat. Whether you’ve been following the series since 2002, or you’re just hopping in for the first time, Rift Apart is a must-play summer blockbuster.

There was a kind of magic in the early Ratchet & Clank games, and then a competence in the later lesser games. The frenetic onscreen chaos of wacky cartoon monsters, smashed crates, imaginative gunplay, and a swarm of bouncing coins was a true joy as we all discovered it twenty years ago. These days, it’s all on offer in a hundred different games. But without the magic or at least the competence, it’s just a flurry of sloppy colors and shapes, a whirlwind of ineffectual nostalgia, absent any innovation, creativity, confidence, or finesse. It took many years, but now that it’s being used to prop up a piece of hardware, Ratchet & Clank finally feels like the soulless corporate property it’s become.

I went into this game not fully knowing what to expect. I'm not really big on jump n' run games. But something about Rift Apart just intriguedI went into this game not fully knowing what to expect. I'm not really big on jump n' run games. But something about Rift Apart just intrigued me.

I mean I was desperate for a new fresh single-player experience. But that usually doesn't mean that I would go out of my way and spend 80€ on a genre I'm not really fond of, just to experience something new.

The things that caught my interest right of the bat when I saw the Reveal and the State of Play, was the interesting usage of the Playstation 5's SSD capabilities and the gorgeous graphics.

I still wasn*t sure if it was worth taking the risk to spend 80€ on a game that I usually would avoid.

But in the end, I did... And what can I say except... wow.

This game is an absolute masterpiece from a technical standpoint.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart does not only look absolutely gorgeous but it also has that incredible polish to it that you would expect from a first-party sony and insomniac game.

The overall gameplay and the combat is pretty much flawless. The combat is fluid. It offers a lot of variety in movement and action. The movement rewards quick response time and decision-making which is definitely needed at times when you play on the highest difficulty.

I didn't expect the game to be this much of a challenge. It isn't comparable to other games that are known for their harder difficulties but that isn't what this game is about and I personally really enjoyed the difficulty balancing.

I haven't even come around to test all of the weapons. So there is enough variety to keep it fresh throughout the playthrough.

The graphics are definitely one of the key selling points. The game not only looks and sounds stunning but it also feels like it. The world-building in most of the planets was simply breathtaking.

Insomniac once again brought their A-Game and managed to bring out a 60FPS mode that also includes Ray-Tracing without sacrificing much of the visual quality except resolution.

I never played a Ratchet and Clank game before so I wasn't at all familiar with any of the characters. But man.. You just immediately love all of them. Each of the characters is just filled with charm and love.

Creating a game where you play as 2 characters can often be very divisive. But in Rift Apart's case, it worked beautifully. Rivet is such a fun and likable character. I might have enjoyed playing her more than Ratchet. But both are just awesome. Dr.Nefarious and Pierre are some stand-out side characters to me.

Story-wise the game achieved what it tried to achieve. It's not a deep immersive character study with bolt and realistic themes. Those kinds of themes are what I usually look for when I pick out singleplayer games. I still very much enjoyed the story even though it is the polar opposite of what I usually play.

The game is pretty much a flawless experience. The only thing I might have wished for is a tiny bit more enemy variety since they did kind of became a little repetitive throughout the story (especially the bosses).

I'm all for quality over quantity obviously. I would rather play this than another Assasin's Creed that goes on for 100 hours with bland repetitive gameplay. That being said I still would have wished for at least a few more story hours. The games quality 100% deserves it's full 80€ price tag. But a 10-hour story campaign is definitely a bit short for that price.

To celeberate and give you a chance to meet more lombaxes, clank gets you a dimensionator, that of course nefarious gets a hold of, you and clank get separated and youre on a journey o find eachother and stop nefarious…
This gme is pure amazingness from start to finish… youll be going back and for the playing as ratchet and rivet, but everything the other collects is shared… youll be going through these beautiful levels, getting awesome new traversal skills, beating up bad guys, taking their nuts and bolts, using thm to buy weapons and like 2016’s each weapon here feels like its own character for you to master, as while youre using them, theyre leveling up, giving you new abilities to unlock and make that weapon better… I wasn’t in love with the weapon selection here, but they did their job and by the end of the game youll feel untouchable… ratchet and rivet play and feel exactly the same.. but what doesn’t feel the same is how it feels to actual play this interactive pixar movie.. th dualsense really brings this world to life, and the seemless transitions through rifts and levels.. this game never loads… never.. the action never stops… keeping you immersed waiting to see hats around the next corner… my only real issue with rift apart though is its level variety… the levels here aren’t memorable at all, theyre all actually pretty generic.. you would thing a game all about alternate dimensions, they would really have some fun here mixing things up and letting you see something you’ve never seen before… but especially compared to 2016’s ratchet and clank.. the levels while all fun to complete at get through, and find their secrets.. e…are pretty bland.. and also not much in general is done with the rift jumping.. like I said no cool areas, and even in game I feel he rift jumping kind of ats as a grappling hook that sometimes is in battles, where you can instantly pull yourself to a platform.. and most times theyre nowhere to be seen.. other than that ratchet and clank rift apart is pure joy, this is again a pixar movie come to life… the dualsense and processing power of the ps5 will blow your mind here and the gameplay and story will have you smiling the whole way through…Rift Apart is a must own.
I give Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
    a 9/10
