Homefront: The Revolution has everything a modern shooter needs : open-world game, loot system, crafting system… All these things will allow you to spend a good time but there are too many technical issues. Just wait for some patches.

This reboot of Shadow of the Beast is an honest game which sticks to the recipe that made its original success, but it could have been better with an improved level design, better enigmas and more intrictate patterns fro the bosses.

Violent, fast and visceral, Doom finally returns to its origins. The atmosphere and gameplay undoubtedly remind us of how powerful the saga was in the 90's.

Yo-Kai Watch wants to make it simple, but it's far too simple for anyone, even for the kids Level-5 want to attract. The game hence becomes boring and hardly justify the gap of difficulty between bosses and random fights. A shame, with its great graphics and interesting concept, it could have been really addictive.

Battleborn got us quite divided. Some praised its humor and the 25 colorful characters that make for a lot of farming, while others criticized the lack of maps, gameplay modes and overall content that's quite thin for a game sold at full price.

Uncharted 4 : A Thief's End is arguably the game of the year 2016, and probably the best game the PS4 will spawn. With amazing graphics and a strong narrative, which sees a more grown up and mature Nathan Drake, Naughty Dog has crafted another masterpiece.

Severed is exactly what you would expect to see on PS Vita more often. What we expected to see, to be fair. Something different, something new, that uses the console in a very smart way, just like Tearaway did a few years ago.

StarFox Zero is torn apart between traditions and modernity, here embodied by PlatinumGames. Both were probably compatible but Nintendo's will to make the GamePad something essential to the gameplay mechanics definitely kills all the other good ideas around.

MXGP 2 is a typical Milestone game: a very solid base with lots of official content that's ruined by a lack of overall polish and quite a handful of bugs.

A bit better than ADR1FT but less than Firewatch, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a very good observation game that boasts impressive graphics, a great soundtrack and a nice story. The only drawback is the sluggish pace at which the player can move.

Perfect for VR, ADR1FT offers a very nice narrative along with good graphics and a nice feeling of floating into space. but the repetitiveness and the lack of a true engaging gameplay limits the tittle to a "why not experience". [VR Tested]

If you're coming here for the gameplay, forget Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 as nothing has evolved on that topic for the last decade. If you want to peep at sexy girls, you're in the right place as everything was made with this goal in mind. A game to store on the ecchi shelf.

Ratchet & Clank on PS4 is a very nice tribute to the first entry in the Insomniac series. By no means surprising in what it has to offer, this remake is something gorgeous though, a beautiful game you'll spend some great hours with.

Dark Souls 3 is a rough diamond, the final touch to a masterpiece trilogy which will leave its mark on us. This final entry can be seen as easier, but it's maybe the best one to date. Well done, Miyazaki-san.

Dirt Rally is without a doubt the best rally game available at the moment if you're looking for an uncompromising sim. Immaculate physics and great graphics are only tarnished by the limited content.

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games carries the same problems than Sotchi in 2014 : this 3DS version suffers from its too many experimental gameplays. All of them are not of the same quality. Some are barely correct as others are real nightmares. Really not enough to get a true replay value.

Forced Showdown is a clever little game that skillfully mixes action elements to a card game core, providing a lot of fun. Only the lack of any multiplayer mod is a real drawback. If you're a solo player you won't regret spending your money.

In spite of a very good and immersive story, Quantum Break fails to hook the player with its old gameplay mechanics, the repetitive nature of the environments you go through and a very linear level design.

Day of the Tentacle stays one of the all time best point & click games ever made, and this remastered version is quite well-rounded with awesome graphics and an option to get the genuine 1993 visuals for nostalgia's sake.

If you didn't have the chance to play Hyrule Warriors and if you love musou games, then go for this 3DS version. It gathers everything that worked on Wii U and even adds new features and new content. You will need a New 3DS to enjoy it fully though.

TrackMania Turbo regroups all the previous modes of the game with an impressive array of tracks, and countless options for the editor which allows for unlimited content. Our only doubts are about the multiplayer modes which won't get the players hooked.

Let's be clear: Pokkén Tournament is not a compelling VS fighting game. There's too few characters, not enough content and the campaign mode is far too boring. But, it can be seen as a good surprise as it offers solid bases of fighting game, likely to attract veterans and newcomers.

EA Sports UFC 2 is quite simply the best MMA game there is. Loaded with improvements over the past iteration, the game still suffers from a poor netcode and a very repetitive career mode.

It's hard to get a definitive idea about HITMAN. On one side we see an episodic game plagued by server problems and a sketchy optimisation on PC, on the other it may well be the best opus from the IP since Blood Money.

The Division is quite a pleasant surprise as long as you play it with some good friends. New York is well-duplicated and the content overshadows Destiny's, yet with some DLCs it will be perfect. The only drawback is the need for a permanent Internet connection.

Unlike The Wind Waker, Zelda: Twilight Princess suffers from the damages of time. This HD version makes its empty, edgy places, its out-of-age animations and its character design even worse. The game's still captivating though.

Heavy Rain is the game which makes the most of this new Quantic Dream Collection, with better lights, the end of the blur effect and some clearly defined textures. Beyond Two Souls is more like a classic port of the PS3 version. Anyway, it should be recommended, as long as you don't already own both games.

Bravely Second's subtitle is End Layer. Hard to tell Silicon Studio they're wrong ont this point. Even with its new storyline, the game is far too close to the previous one to attract players who already played Default. Aware of the shortcomings of the original Garden Warfare, PopCap Games now offers quite some content with Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 including a real campaign mode albeit a repetitive one.

Ubisoft carries on with the traditional Far Cry recipe that's used this time in a prehistoric setting. The game has its ups and downs and mainly relies on proven features which could prove boring to the players, a bit like an Assassin's Creed game.

Earth Defense Force 4.1 is a light remaster of Earth Defence Force 2025, if you've played the original one, it has no interest, if you've willing to discover the series it's a nice game albeit the dated technical side can be harsh to cope with.

Project X Zone 2 is based on a huge amount of fan-service, and this part of the game is particularly successful. However, the conversations are far too long and too boring to maintain a certain tempo in our journey. Furthermore, this second episode is not tactical enough to be a really good T-RPG.

Final Fantasy Explorers could have been a nice mix between MMORPG and JRPG. But first of all, it's not worthy the 3DS from a technical point of view. The game is also too easy, too repetitive and lacks some strategical ingredients to be really playable on a long-term basis.

As with many remasters, the only reason to buy Gravity Rush Remastered is if you didn't have the chance to play the original one when it came out in 2012. Everything is exactly the same albeit with HD graphics.

LEGO Marvel's Avengers has nothing really new to offer, apart from the 200 characters you can play with. It's still confused, it's still repetitive and it's very similar to the other LEGO games you've tried till now.

Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC is no disappointment. The many visual options make this version more beautiful than ever, although the game can run on low configs. We would have loved to enjoy some downloadable content though.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones is as good as when it first launched on PCs back in 2014, but with the addition of the "write my story" mode which lets player customize their game, along with the kids now thrown into battle - a must play tittle now on consoles.

Blade & Soul is finally available in the west, but four years after its initial release in Asia. The game suffers from a dull PvE that needs a lot of grinding and a great interest in Wuxia from the players. But the very good fighting system and its great arena PvP mode make it worthy of a look.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles India should have improved China's ideas and China's gameplay. But there's nothing really new in this second installment. The game is nothing better, nothing prettier and it still carries some very irritating problems.

Resident Evil HD Remaster is a nice revisit to the original game even if the content is left untouched. A good way for new players to experience this series even if the 20€ price is a bit steep for such an oldie.

The main reason to buy The Sims : Living Together is the group feature that allows multiple sims to do an activity together. Beyond that there isn't much to see and as usual the value isn't great.

Xenoblade Chronicles X could have been a huge success if Monolith had put forth the same effort for the writing and the pace of their game that they did for the creation of the planet Mira.

This first try is an interesting one, but it's far from being a perfect shot. Mordheim : City of the Damned doesn't lack any depth, that's for sure. But the very hard first missions and the disastrous interface make it a game we can recommend only to the fans.

Mario & Luigi Paper Jam Bros is a nice game that should delight any Nintendo fan. The combat is well balanced but some activities are very boring and you feel that devs had to fill in the gaps.

Just Cause 3 is maybe the best game of the series thanks to the uber efficient combo of the grapple, the chute and the wingsuit that makes traveling a breeze. It only lacks a real multiplayer mode.

Rainbow Six has enough assets to claim a spot in the tactical FPS Hierarchy with nice gameplay and the addition of a destroyable environment. It's not yet ready to shake off the leaders like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

If Chibi-Robot!: Zip Lash were very hyped, the disappointment is even greater. Nintendo has just given us one of the worst titles ever on the 3DS, and one of the worst Nintendo games of 2015.

Sadly this remaster of Beyond Two Souls doesn't bring much to the game. The graphics improvement is minimal, and the lack of 60 fps framerate is quite unfortunate. Beyond Two Souls stays one of the best narrative games of the last few years.

Football Manager 2016 lacks of ambition to be one of the main episodes of the Sports Interactive series. It's the most complete FM we have though, and it's consequently the best till next year.

Legacy of The Void is as good as Starcraft 2's previous expansions. If fans are going to buy it asap, we recommend that new players should wait for an edition that regroups the whole content in one box.

Despite a good technical side, Star Wars Battlefront suffers from quite a number of balancing issues, where for instance AtAt's are quite too tough on Hoth. Let's hope a patch comes out to correct those issues.

Unsurprisingly, Fallout 4 is closer to Fallout 3 than it is to the former episodes. And it comes with all the qualities and problems we already know. But Fallout 4 belongs to this hypnotizing kind of games that you should not miss if you love Western RPGs.

Despite almost no genuinely new stuff in the game, and a easy-to-guess scenario, Rise of The Tomb Raider is one of the best games of the year thanks to an impeccable technical aspect and very good gameplay which alternates between action, exploration, climbing and a lot of loot.

The first season of Life is Strange is an experience between Quantic Dream productions and Telltale games. Something like a third lane, that becomes only darker and deeper with time. We're looking forward to see what Dontnod can make with the rewind in a second season.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 marks the comeback of Treyarch into the CIA's dirty programs with an amazingly large solo game. With so much content, we can only regret that the devs haven't spent more time on rejuvenating the multiplayer.

Need for Speed is a one-night stand but it's definitely not the love of your life. A depressing open-world, some uninterested cops, an empty scenario : this reboot is not what you've been waiting for, except for the very impressive visuals.

Tales of Zestiria is a good J-RPG, based on a deep and clever fighting system, and offering a nice and classic journey. But maybe Bandai Namco should now let some features and some techs behind to begin a really new era with its IP.

Anno is still a great IP which ventures into lunar lands. While the concept is good and the changes are welcome, we would have gladly traded Uplay and DLC's for a multiplayer mode and more maps.

If you're a nostalgic of the NES era, Shovel Knight should have everything you're looking for with 2D graphics and an 8 bit soundtrack. Moreover the boxed version has increased appeal thanks to its impressive content.

By staying steady on the steed 343 industries insures a nice game with Halo 5 Guardians. The solo offers a smooth ride and the new Warzone multiplayer mode is a great addition to the game as it offers a good option for more casual players.

After a bad Just Dance 2015, Ubisoft Paris has learned from its mistake and now gives us Just Dance 2016, one of the very best games of the IP with its high quality playlist and its overall generous content. A must-have for fans of musical games.

Very poor on the technical side of things, Assassin's Creed Syndicate still impresses with its generous content and a few new features. We can't help but think that the IP has seen too much though.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force is quite a good game even if some puzzles seem well-known for veteran players. A very nice game indeed.

Guitar Hero Live has finally comeback to it's former glory thanks to the amazing work put in by FreeStyleGames. The new improved buttons on the guitar rejuvenates the gameplay, and the only flaw we can think of is that you can only rent online songs, even if you paid for it with your own money.

Prison Architect is simply one of the very best management games on sale at the moment.

This new Fatal Frame gets the atmosphere right, makes the player uneasy. That's a pretty good point to start with for a horror game. But once you're in control, it becomes awful to play and offers no perspective of new challenge to force the player to go forward.

If Dragon Ball Z : Extreme Butoden had a great starting point with the 2D old-school fighting pedigree, Arc System Works blew it by making the game incredibly repetitive in its gameplay and because of the lousy Z-assist System. Still recommended to hardcore fans.

Making a crossover between The Escapists and The Walking Dead was a great idea and the result is tremendous fun, whether you're a fan of the comic or not. Beware though, as the genuine flaws from the Escapists are carried over in this game like the repetitiveness of the gameplay.

Disgaea 5 : Alliance of Vengeance is still a very good tactical-RPG. But maybe one day, Nippon Ichi Software will realize they need to bring something really new to each of their entries to make the IP moving forward. To be honest, this fifth installment is not that far from the very first, and it's not something to be proud of.

Tranformers Devastation is best Transformers game to date. PlatinumGames did a great job with the fighting portion of the game and that's all we want to remember, as the rest is not on the same level.

While Kylotonn has made a dramatic improvement over Milestone's game with much more refined physics and a tremendous increase in graphics quality and sound, the game still has some inherent flaws. The Special stages are too few and a lot of bugs ruin the overall experience.

While the overhaul of the diplomatic system is a very welcome feature delivered by Rising Tide, the uselessness of the hybrid affinities, the tediousness of moving aquatic cities and the quite impressive price tag of the extension only restricts it to the most hardcore fans.

As EA Vancouver had found quite a sane recipes for last year's game, we hoped that NBA LIVE 16 would have been worthy even if aimed at the arcade lover. In fact it's a disappointment chain with all the flaws we found last year are still present. Far from the awful opus of 2013, we still wish NBA Live 17 will give NBA 2K a run for its money.

Rock Band 4 is not exactly Rock Band 2 for PS4 and Xbox One, but it's not that far off either. Harmonix sacrifices new ideas on the altar of compatibility; you can use former instruments, you can play all the tracks you already had, and all this is pretty good. But Rock Band 4 could have done with some graphics improvements and a few more new features.

Square Enix made a beat'em all with this Dragon Quest Heroes, but it's no betrayal. Beautiful to watch and to listen to, nervous and well-paced, this new entry is a big success and a very good first try on PS4.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is bad. Not bad like Michael Jackson, more bad like a Super Mario Bros. movie, like an Xbox One announcement at E3, like a game made without enough time, money and consideration. A new low.

For only sixty euros, you can own three action/adventure masterpieces. Even after all those years, we're still amazed by the perfect balance between exploration, gunfights and reflection. If you can afford it, don't hesitate one bit.

A Heroes of Might & Magic game can hardly be a bad game. But this seventh entry struggles to prove it can be more than something average, because of an obvious lack of money and time for development.

LEGO Dimensions could have been a really good challenger for Skylanders. Plenty of IP's at disposal, some good and new ideas about using NFC figures differently... But the game is far too hard to read from time to time, its difficulty level is too random and, last but not least, the LEGO Dimensions Packs are way too expensive.

Each new entry in the NBA 2K series makes it more impressive, more realistic, more believable. NBA 2K16 succeeds in making itself more easy for the newcomers and it's still very demanding for the experienced players.

Skylanders SuperChargers seems to have fully understood the problems of Skylanders Trap Team. Everything is not fine yet, but the changes in terms of rhythm, difficulty, graphics make this game better than the previous one. And the vehicles offer players something new to taste.
