A component that was left in the background in previous games here takes an excellent progression, keeping a focused player interested from start to finish. the gameplay has basically 2 modes: on foot (which is the same of previous games) and on vehicles (this part can get players off guard. In shorts, these segments take quite a big part in the game and there are some section not polished enough but the game partially fixes this problem by making every vehicle segment unique and with a chapther sistem, actually giving the ability to replay the best part of a level as much as they want).
   the endgame content isn't familiar to the series, being composed by various modes for racing instead of arenas introduced in the previous games.
   As a toys to life game, it is relatively generous to the player's wallet, giving acces to the entirity of the levels with just 3 vehicles, one for each terrain type (land, sea, sky), and only one driver since, except to open one door for level, you don't need the supercharger drivers and you can use any of your old favourite figures without feeling to fight unfair fights or loosing content.
   
   the game is a rough diamond, there are "god send" features but there are certain negative aspects (like a relatively short game or no arena modes) that will overshadow the good aspects for player ìs that don't like car games in general.

   Back in 2015, when "Skylanders" games were released on an annual basis, we wondered where the franchise could go after "Trap Team" introducedBack in 2015, when "Skylanders" games were released on an annual basis, we wondered where the franchise could go after "Trap Team" introduced the concept of trapping villains and playing as them. So what new, groundbreaking concept would they come up with for the next game? Vehicles. Yes. That's the best concept they could come up with at the time. Fortunately, however, the game featuring said vehicles actually turned out quite fun!
   "Skylanders: Superchargers" once again includes a number of the same aspects we've come to expect out of the series: colorful visuals, fun platforming, and a fun, childlike charm. There's also a number of things going on here that make it feel like more than just another "Skylanders" adventure: for starters, the vehicle sections, while not the most groundbreaking thing that could've been added to a new "Skylanders" game, are quite fun and unique, and they do added a nice extra layer to the gameplay to keep it from feeling too cut-and-dry compared to the previous installments of the series. On top of that, while the story in the "Skylanders" series has never been award-worthy, I can appreciate that the stakes have been raised this time around, making things feel a bit more exciting overall.
   There are a few problems that, while not game-breaking, do dock a few points. Notably, while the vehicle segments are pretty fun overall, it doesn't feel like the concept was really fleshed out all that well; by that I mean, the game introduces a number of different types of vehicles that you can use, such as land, air and sea, but you only need the land (car) vehicle to beat the game. I imagine this was probably done so as to not drain wallets as much on air and sea vehicles, and so that players that only bought the starter pack wouldn't be locked out of the story, but it's still disappointing that the land vehicle is the one that gets a lot of the attention. On top of that, the controls for the vehicles aren't always the greatest. Not terrible, but they definitely take some getting used to.
   Still, there's plenty of fun to be had with "Skylanders Superchargers," and with this new entry, Activision proves that there's still some life left in this franchise. It's a charming title that's plenty of fun for the kids and entertaining enough for the older crowd.

However, the gameplay in this game was very good and the idea with the vehicles was well implemented. Also, Skylanders Superchargers is not a rip-off like other Skylanders games, because you don't need all the vehicle elements and you don't even need all the vehicle types, and the necessary ones are already in the starter pack.… Expand

   And I regret it.
   
   The gimmick is vehicles, and it's a pretty stupid gimmick. You need a land, sea, and air vehicle to experience everything the game has to offer, but the game only comes with a land vehicle. I didn't buy any additional toys (because I have far too many kicking around as is) so I didn't get to experience two thirds of the vehicle segments. that angered me at first, but the ones I could play were fairly generic and bland, so maybe it's not such a bad thing that I got to avoid most of them.
   
   Battle mode is absent yet again, as is it's former replacement, the Kaos Challenge thing from Trap Team. The little rhythm minigame is gone too, but I don't think it was ever the most popular addition. I barely even remember the plot, even though I finished the game just last week, so it couldn't have been great. Your collection of traps from Trap Team is usable, but they only serve as weapons for your vehicle. I stopped using them halfway through because they barely made a difference.
   
   The traditional Skylanders gameplay is pretty much unchanged, so there's that. There's also an online mode, but I couldn't get it to work. The game is still backwards compatible with old figures, so your existing collection should carry over just fine.
   
   Overall, very disappointing. I'd avoid it if at all possible.… Expand

   My least favorite Skylanders game so far. No arena modes which had become my favorite part of the series after the previous two games. ControlMy least favorite Skylanders game so far. Control scheme changed to not use shoulder buttons anymore when several old characters have button combos that require their use. Traps from the last game do next to nothing (while Traps were a much better gimmick than vehicles). Magic items do next to nothing as well. Gimmick land vehicle zones make up large parts of every story level and are un-skippable (unlike Swap Zones which were nearly as boring / bad, but were skippable). The vehicle zones and racing are silly and too different from the solid, core gameplay of the series. Several of my favorite characters from the last game play different and feel wrong (this has become the norm between games in Skylanders - inconsistency in older characters' gameplay). Online is cool but minimal. Online PvP and co-op arenas would have been great, but as I said, not even single player or local co-op arenas in this game. Kaos Doom Challenge is gone. But hey, the graphics, UI, voice-acting are all top notch. First Skylanders game I regret buying. I'm going to pretend I didn't buy it and wait to see what the next one is like. I hope the next one is better.… Expand

It's crappy old Skylanders, none of the characters are recogniseable any more. If you are thinking of buying a game for your child then go with Disney Infinity 3.0 or Lego Dimensions, and if you are thinking of getting a game for yourself then you should totally go for Lego Dimensions it's just insanely fun! Honestly it's so painful to play because Holy **** Kaos. He's back. Again. What a surprise. At least Call of Duty puts a different story into each of it's games, because in the Skylander's franchise, I think everyone just gave up after Giants. Also they have removed Arena mode! One of the best modes in the game is just gone. And don't eve get me started on ****ty old racing mode. Even that Garfield Kart game for the 3ds is better than that junk!… Expand

   This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is terrible Trap team may be bogus but this is nothing new its a Banjo and Kazzoie nuts and bolts clone I seriously hate this game. Sadly brought in Donkey Kong and stinking Bowser! This is my least favorite skylander game ever. Activison never learned from last years abombination Sylanders trap team… Expand
