    An astoundingly good debut on the PS4: because Insomniac knows what makes these games work, and they realized that they didn't need to overhaul them from the ground up to make them work on a new system, too.

    Insomniac Games did not just remake this classic platformer. They boldly bombarded it with ideas and then rebuilt it pixel by pixel using methods unknown 13 years ago. The result is magnificent. [06/2016, p.50]

    A fun, imaginative game. Ratchet & Clank is the proof that platform games are not an outdated genre thanks to its fun gameplay, crazy weapons, great animations and some awesome new ideas.

    This remake makes us relive the old days in an excellent new look. There are a lot of new gadgets, guns and gameplay elements to keep the adventure fresh. It is a bit odd how the main characters do not really seem to have a lot of chemistry though.

    Got it with the psn plus and love it so far! This game is really fun, fun story and characters, really easy gameplay and    What a surprise!

    Graphics are good, each planet offers you a different landscape.
    Music is very good also.

    One of my favorite game for this 2018 year :)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is a good reboot of the first game. It has lived up to the original with making it's own unique game. It has a story that works but unfortunately it could be more adult like which is what long term fans would really miss. And the twist where Nefarious is the villain could've been built up foreshadowing the events. It has humour within it's levels however with the weapons for example it uses and Quark's narration is amazing. Speaking of the voice cast they all deliver their lines either ranging from good to amazing except for Bella Thorne who will grate on you after a while. And the weapons are not the best we have seen in the franchise but is definitely worthy to be a good standard and the pixeliser is a weapon I hope to stay seeing. The games difficulty is very easy for any fan but it makes sense why since this is very orientated to a kid audience. The soundtrack is good but not as good as the PS2 era. The game I wish could've been longer and maybe instead of merging planets it could've made them separate with their own unique twists. Not only this, although the graphics are drop dead amazing still to this day one of the best looking PS4 games it could've made more of it with huge space fights. Overall this game is a blast from start to finish but could've used a bit more maturity within it, although it isn't good as the PS3 trilogy it is still a fun adventure to play through… Expand

    Having only played the original Ratchet & Clank and then recently watching all the cutscenes for the rest of the franchise on Youtube, I feltHaving only played the original Ratchet & Clank and then recently watching all the cutscenes for the rest of the franchise on Youtube, I felt a special connection to this game. As I played through each planet I felt a sense of familiarity, yet at the same time my reasons for traveling to them all and the story I experienced were completely changed for the better. Not only did the story feel more organic, it better set up for the overall lore for their universe they would expand upon in later games with references to the Zoni, showing Quark was more dumb than bad, and even directly including Dr. Nefarious into the plot. Even the final level and villain were changed up which makes the game truly stand out as a new experience. This game also benefits from Insomniac's years of trial and error to find a place for this franchise beyond being a simple platformer, so the game is super fun to play with the weapons feeling very good to use and the mechanics being refined. Overall whether you're a returning fan, a new player, or somewhere in the middle like me, this game really does hit all the right buttons and I very much recommend it.… Expand
