    FANTASTIC game - it is so refreshing to see an "E" rated game that is so well polished and fun to play! This is on par with Nintendo and Pixar - well done, we need more of this on Sony and Xbox platforms! 10/10

    oh my goodness. Insomniac went and did it! They managed to take a flawless game and make it even better. I absolutely love what they did. It's brilliant!!!

    I love this series, so I was thrilled to have it back.

    Now this is a remake/reboot, so it does follow the broad strokes of the initial game way back in 2002. But it does so having incorporated 14 years of progress in gameplay, graphics, and storytelling to punch up the narrative. Plus, it's only $40! When was the last time a Triple A studio dropped a trademark game for less than $60 (or    I love this series, so I was thrilled to have it back.

When was the last time a Triple A studio dropped a trademark game for less than $60 (or more with DLC)? It is absolutely worth your money, especially if you love any of the previous games in the series, clever platformers, or quirky Pixar-esque humor.

    Here's hoping the sales are good and Insomniac is already working on the next R&C game for more from this wonderful franchise!    … Expand

    If you love ratchet and clank then this is a must buy. Don't see this as a HD remake, the game is completely new re-imagine of the first Ratchet game. The game is absolutely stunning to look at, looks like a pixar movie.
    The are familiar planets and characters but they all have been tweaked for the better in my opinion. Honestly the only problem I have with this game is that I want more of it, its a 40dollar game and should take you around 7-10h to finish depending on how you play. Could take you even more if you backtrack to collect all the stuff, if not then there is new game+ called challenge mode where your weapons and bolts carry over.

    this Ratchet and clank game is one of the best in the franchise, i love the new gamplay, the graphic are really good, and i am so excited to play more :)

    Okay, so initially I wasn't really excited for this game. But I have to say that this is one of the BEST games that I have played this gen. The story is an amazing, fun-filled, witty little tale which keeps you entertained from start to finish. The characters are well written with bits of nostalgic nerd humour present in almost all of them. The gameplay is smooth, fun and has a good amountOkay, so initially I wasn't really excited for this game. But I have to say that this is one of the BEST games that I have played this gen. The story is an amazing, fun-filled, witty little tale which keeps you entertained from start to finish. The characters are well written with bits of nostalgic nerd humour present in almost all of them. The gameplay is smooth, fun and has a good amount of variety to keep it fresh. The graphics are some of tge best I've seen this gen, looking like a playable Pixar movie. The standout of the game though, has to be the weapons. The gadgets that R&C have at their disposal is some of the most creative and "fun to use" weapons i have ever played around with.     The game feels absolutely amazing! Anyone who played these games as a kid can't miss out here! Feels wonderfully polished in every way! Can't wait to see what's next for Ratchet and Clank on PS4 and hope this leads to an epic multiplayer the next time around! Bravo Insomniac!

Effortlessly, R&C brings all the delightful magic of that game snugly into the performance jet stream of next gen gaming. It's worthy of the PS4's power and really showcases it nicely.     The characters, as always, are as heartwarming as ever and the humor still reigns supreme. The pacing through the challenge sequences is perfect and just keeps the sense of satisfaction blooming with every kill and every level completed. There's just something so wonderfully addictive about pulling in the gush of bits and bolts after enemies and crates are dismembered....it's fun running about, after a stage has been cleared, just to smash every hidden crate and vacuum up every stray cog. The weapons with their progression trees are easy to use yet both diverse and creative..just a riot! The gunplay itself is superb, though perhaps a bit cup-cakey if one is a hardcore shooter fan, I'm guessing. I love shooters as well, but by no means consider myself a pro. I'll never turn up my nose at a casual shooter if its done well with artfulness and skillful execution. R&C is excellent in this regard...a class act.

    Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spot of refreshing color after grinding through the darkness of DS3 for hours upon hours. You know who you are ;) Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this little gem    … Expand

Gorgeous visuals, solid performance, tight and polished gameplay, Insomniac's trademark creative weapons, and humor in spades. It does feel a bit disjointed, though, with both story and gameplay segments lacking the smooth transitions and flow ofA lovingly crafted blast from the past. Its familiarity can be a double edged sword but there is something to be said for classic game design. Gorgeous visuals, solid performance, tight and polished gameplay, Insomniac's trademark creative weapons, and humor in spades. It does feel a bit disjointed, though, with both story and gameplay segments lacking the smooth transitions and flow of something like a Naughty Dog game. A combo of the movie tie in and what could be a small budget may have contributed to this (offset by its cheaper price tag).     Ratchet & Clank is amazing game ever i playing.. beautiful graphic, great gameplay and story is great.. Ratchet is cute and Clank is also cute too. i don't understand why people rate this game very lower like 3 to less but they probably are troller on this game. i hope Insomniac Devs will make sequel game for Ratchet & Clank on ps4 soon as possible ..     I'm playing right now and I'm enjoying it. The visuals looks great and the gameplay is flawless. The weapons(gadgets!) and their upgrading system are prefect like always. Love you Insomniac

    best exclusive game for now because after uncharted beign realised my attention will be to uncharted 4 thief end ,anyway i am gona have both so my collection is going to be complete so i give this game 9/10 excellent reeboot for ps4

    This is my first Ratchet and Clank game ever and I have to say I'm very impressed and looking forward to see where this series goes from now on. The graphical fidelity is top notch quality no doubt, it's one of the best looking games this generation, matching close to a Pixar film. What also caught my attention is how bizarre the weapons are, and that's a good thing, I LOVED the weapons throughout the game and my GOD there r a lot of upgrades guys you can get these upgrades by getting collectibles, nuts and bolts, or just killing enemies. I wasn't able to get everything my first run through with the game, although on my second run through I did. You just need to search carefully to find everything. The sound in this game puts the player in the mood that this is going to be a great game, and gives the players who already played this series a lot of nostalgia. Granted that there r some flaws here and there but they are MINIMAL that nobody will even recognize them because they r not a burden in the game. There is EXCELLENT value here guys, being a $40 price tag this is an instant buy no doubt!… Expand

    This is a nice addition to the Ratchet and Clank series with tons of great weapons from the sheepinator to the predator launcher. This game has a fun lighthearted atmosphere with great voice acting.

    Ratchet and Clank has always been a game that looks like the sort of game i'd enjoy, however I've never really got around to playing it. So when I saw this game was out I decided to finally pick it up, the current gen of consoles has been crying out for a great platformer and I was hoping this was it.

    Needless to say, it is exactly that, a great 3D platformer. Gorgeous graphics,    Ratchet and Clank has always been a game that looks like the sort of game i'd enjoy, however I've never really got around to playing it. So when I saw this game was out I decided to finally pick it up, the current gen of consoles has been crying out for a great platformer and I was hoping this was it.

    Needless to say, it is exactly that, a great 3D platformer. Gorgeous graphics, intuitive and easy to pick up controls, fast fluid (for the most part) gameplay, plenty of weapons with unique abilities, all full upgradeable. And each level has some level of replayability to.

    Having said that it does have a few minor downfalls for me. First and foremost is the flight controls. They are pretty clunky. The flight controls are on the left analogue rather than the right, and that's not something that can be changed in the options. On top of that they just feel more rigid than the rest. Everything else in the game feels so fluid and easy though, but because of that flight controls stick out as being weak.

    Replay-ability/hidden areas. This game does have replay-ability, there's the weapons to upgrade, the golden screws to collect and challenge mode. However my issue here is even the 'hidden areas' are marked on your map. The golden screws are the only real element of discovery within a level, and even then they're pretty easy to find on the most part.

    On the whole this game really is a great 3D platformer, and the best one i've played in a very long time on a non-nintendo console. It's just the points mentioned above for me that stop this from getting a 9/10 but it's a very solid 8.    … Expand

    This is a great game that plays like any action adventure platformer. The game is fun, the characters are lovely and story is well integrated with the gameplay. One of the things i enjoy was the funny dialogue and the music that is top notch; fantastic game.

    - Difucultad nula, incluso en la dificultad dificil el juego me parece de risa en ese sentido. Puedes evitar hacer los puzzles para abrir puertas del juego y cuando te quedas estancado en un sitio el juego te dice que hacer para seguir adelante
    - Las cinematicas estan bien hechas, pero es algo que yo no pedia en absoluto al comprar este juego, en mi opinion pienso que hay demasiadas
    - Es demasiado corto y si no eres de volver a rejugar un juego lo vas a fulminar en poco tiempo y lo vas a dejar en la estanteria cogiendo polvo

    Conclusion: Me parece un juego muy divertido y algo diferente a lo que venimos viendo hoy en dia, titulo que puedes comprar sin miedo ya que es bueno aunque dejandome ese sabor agridulce en ciertos aspectos como fan de la saga ratchet and clank que soy.

    Being someone who grew up with the Ratchet and Clank franchise since the very beginning, hopes were high from this game to be a master piece and to stay true to the original. Upon playing it, I can say this is a great re imagining of the original which above all else, is fun to play. As fun as it is there were a couple minor points which irritated me when comparing it to the original.

    Presentation wise, this game is insane. It's like playing a pixar film. Everything is stunning to look at and everything looks more vibrant compared to the original. One planet, Batalia, has a snowy makeover which looks stunning and the water planet looks brighter than ever. Ratchet's fur looks plush and soft, contrasting to his original looks which made him rather rough looking for a furry animal. The amount of particle effects on one screen is insane, sometimes other whelming during heavy action sequences and making it hard to tell what you're shooting at and what is shooting at you.

    Voice acting for the most part is great. The original cast from Ratchet and Clank 2 onwards is back and as charmful and as witty as ever. My biggest gripe is Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek and how Drek's character was dealt overall. In the original, Drek was this calculated, methodical authority who didn't answer to anyone but himself. A self made man who has earnt his power. This interpretation, however portrays him as this incompetent buffoon who only got to where is his now because daddy gave him everything. The threat is gone and, as a villain, I can't stand him or his reasoning behind his plan whereas in the original you could understand why he was doing what he was doing and was a bigger threat because of it.

    The story itself is the same for the most part. It's a retelling of the original from how loving idiot captain quark recalls it. It's fairly simple and give a simple motivation for our protagonists to start from wishful dreamer to fully fledged heros. For the most part nothing deviates from the original but the development of ratchet and clank's friendship is rather rushed. The two are instant friends, which is great and all but the strength of their friendship at the end isn't justified unlike the original. The two don't argue which isn't what best friend do: best friends squabble but become even closer afterwards which the original implements. This version also has recurring villain doctor nefarious who honestly isn't needed for the story. He doesn't add anything and he forced in, having his own agenda from Drek's despite being on the same side. This game is really short as well. It might be because of the release of the film but this game has 9 less planets than the original making play time now more than 9-12 hours, which is a real shame because as the end credits rolled I wanted more out of it. Another planet or another boss just to fully satisfy me.

    The gameplay mostly takes from the new, including weapons. Every weapon is fun to use and are all unique from each other but still full some archetypes (pistol, shotgun rocket, launcher). New gameplay elements in these planets does make the game seems easier at first but the amount of enemies does even out these additions. Everything is polished and every death is entirely the player's fault. It's some of the tightest gameplay if played in awhile.

    Should you buy this game? Absolutely. It's really fun and is a breath of fresh air by bringing back the platformer in an incredible way and for less than most triple A titles in the market. Is it better than the original? No, it's on par. For everything it does right to engage new players, it leaves a veteran of the series like myself just a little more faith to the original and for more planets to return from the original game.    … Expand

    My first ratchet & clank game and all i could say is that i love it. I regret not playing the PS2 and PS3 ones back in the day.

    The game is just fun. The equivalent of Hack & Slash but with guns.

    It is funny also, entertainment for all ages.

    Just buy it on sale, totally worth it

    Unexpectedly amazing remake. Platforming is fluid and controls well, the different guns are fun to use, the different planets are beautiful, and graphics/sounds/voice acting are all great.

Every weapon is so much fun that I end up using nearly all of them in every battle, and there are a lot of weapons to choose from. The guns can then be upgraded and it's a really cool system. Upgrade them enough and they will receive upgrades like being able to shoot more than one bullet type at once etc. Apart from weapons there are a lot of other gameplay mechanics that make it just fun to move around, You can jetpack around, use a hoverboard or even grind a rail. When shooting it's also important to make sure you're dodging every bullet you can, and Ratchet looks great while doing so. Double tap cross and Ratchet will be doing somersaults over the bullets while you keep your eye on the enemy. The enemies are all really cool and unique in their own way. Some guns are better for specific enemies so the game is always making you swap out your gun for another, which purposely makes it fluid and fun.

    The story was very interesting with it tying in with the movie. To tie with the film the game feels like you're inside an animated film controlling the characters. Honestly, I didn't think I'd enjoy this but it's actually really interesting. The characters are really interesting and the great animation makes them feel so real. Ratchet and Clank are probably now my favourite duo, with me relating to Clank so much. They're both really enjoyable to be with and I can't wait to go on another adventure with them. The next game isn't going to have an animated film so I'm interested how they approach it, hopefully they keep the really good animated cutscenes.

    The graphics were so beautiful and stunning, that everywhere you look it makes you take a breath. Every world you visit has something going on everywhere and makes it feel so lively. Even playing on a base PS4 everything looked really good, and I can't wait to see it all on PS5 with the next game including ray tracing. You wouldn't think a game like this could look so beautiful but it really is. Every world you visit is different to the other and all of them are so fun to explore because of the beauty.

    To conclude, this is a must play game that you can't miss. Right now it's going really cheap so you have no excuse to not play it. I can't wait to play the new game, just need to get a PS5 from the depths of the universe.    … Expand

    I confess that I didn't know the franchise until the release of this remake, I was always curious to play it and, when I played it, I fell in love with the game, which made me look for the first games and learn more about the franchise.

    Over all an amazing game really takes me back to parts of my childhood when the ps1 and ps2 were out. I enjoyed it over all, great game, easy to play and beat and great for casual gamers like myself. I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 because some parts of the game felt a little dragged out but over all amazing.

    A great remake for one of the best games for PlayStation, the game and the mechanics are still there, the graphics are amazing, so crisp and bright. The story is a little bit short and it feels like some parts should have been more detailed.
    All in all a great game, but the original version of the first Ratchet & Clank series is far more enjoyable.

    I really like adventure games in which you collect stuff, find hidden collectibles and buy upgrades. Combine this with some decent combat mechanics and some platforming and I am hooked up for hours. Ratchet and Clank is a game that does just that.

    I was always fan of the Ratchet and Clank series, so when this remaster for the PS4 came out, I immediately bought it.

    The story of the game is a little blend and cliché but not terrible. It gives clear directions on where to go next and you can backtrack and go on sideway paths whenever you like. The open world levels, that you can visit in every order you want, makes the game fun to play. You are not bound to a specific path and if you are like me, you complete all the side quests first and then continue with the main story.

    The graphics are fairly decent and a good upgrade from the original game. The framerate is good and keeps stable throughout the game, even with a lot of action on the screen.

    The sounds and music are quite nice and when playing in the background gives a calming feeling while you are exploring.

    The ton of collectible items like bolts, gold nuts and trading cards made me search every inch of the game. Combine this with some PlayStation trophies you can earn for collecting everything and there is nothing in the game that I haven’t seen or experienced.

    The upgrade mechanics are really cool and although Ratchet and Clank is not an RPG, it feels this way when you upgrade your weapons with specific upgrades that let you earn more bolts, cards or Raritanium.

    The combat mechanics and weapon selection are well done and switching to one of your other ridiculous weapons is made easy to understand. Combat feels fluent and fair, except for some homing attacks some enemies have, but this adds to the challenge. The weapons are all over the place like the “Groovitron” and the “Pixelator”. Ever want to see an enemy in 8 bits in a fully 3D environment or see a tank dance? In this game you can.

    The New Game + feature let’s you collect and upgrade everything you didn’t get around to the first time so you can complete the game anytime.

    There are some minor complaints from my end about the game like the unskippable cutscenes when interacting with some NPC’s and the Clank levels which I found really boring, but this is my personal experience.

    Overall, I really liked this game and would complete it again anytime. Definitely worthy for giving it a try.    … Expand

The graphics are great, I love those open landscapes, that depth sensation... You have to follow a certain path in each world like in any other platform game, but you always have the feeling that beyond there is a huge world. The sound effects are very Ratchet & Clank, I think I can't describe it better, when I started paying it suddenly returned me to the first Ratchet & Clank I played years ago on my brother's PSP.

    The progression system is simple, you have a nice variety of weapons with their clear improvement system, you will have a blast when you get for yourself the Sheepinator... My god! How can anything be so ridiculous and funny at the same time??? xDD

    It's a game for the whole family, from the youngest to the most experienced players, but if you share the first walkthrough with someone you will enjoy it much more. In my case I played it with my girlfriend (my grilfriend played and I looked if I have to be honest here xD) and we both had a great time. She was always in love with Jak and Daxter, and this game is as similar as we have in PS4, so she enjoyed like no other.

    It certainly is a cheap game worth having in your collection, if you have in mind buying it don't think it twice, you won't be disappointed... AT ALL! :)

Meanwhile a    Ratchet & Clank for the PS4 is in my opinion a must have for any PS4 owner that likes platforming and shooting games. This is actually my first R&C game and...oh boy did i missed out on something.

    STORY: You are this Lombax (a cat-fox-dog like creature) called Ratchet, who wants o be a Guardian of the Galaxy, but he because the leader is a **** so he doesn't let him. Meanwhile a defective robot warrior called (insert extremely long and confusing robot name here), scapes from a planet because he's...well...defective and by the power of convenience both Ratchet and the robot (which Ratchet names Clank out of nowhere) meet and without any questioning the 2 of them become buddies and from there on out they have some great adventures!. In a platforming game the story is the last thing i care about so i'm not gonna bash the game for it, however i will say my main complain and that is that Ratchet and Clank become buddies way to quickly and they never have any character development.

    PRESENTATION: This game looks like a freaking pixar movie, specially in the very well done cinematics, that from what i can tell, are straight out of the movie. The game runs at 1080p 30fps and it make the character models, the animations and the gorgeous environments pop-up even more!, however in a game so fast paced like this i kinda feel like 60fps is needed and even tho the graphics are pretty sweet, i'm sure that the PS4 can run this type of graphics with 60fps, i mean, the Wii U already does it with Super Mario 3D World so...what's the deal?.The soundtrack is very forgettable in my opinion, but it does help to create the mood for the environments and i like that techno-space theme that it has.

    GAMEPLAY: The controls of the game are great, they are smooth and the platforming feels great and you have the different moves like the double jump, wall jump and grappling hook to thank for that.

    You have a variety of crazy weapons at your disposal. You have your default weapon which is your wrench and you can spam it to do a basic combo attack and in case it misses, you just keep swinging, this very helpful with little enemies. But then we get to the other weapons. Some of them are the usual stuff like a grenade, laser gun, flame thrower, etc, but we also get one that can make enemies (and bosses) dance, one that turns enemies into sheep, one that literally transform enemies into pixels and much more!. This weapons are super fun to use and you can also level them up by simply using them. And you can buy more with bolts that are literally EVERYWHERE!. And you upgrade them with some crystals that you find in missions. However you can only do that by finding a special box, which forces you to find one when you want to buy or upgrade something. Personally i feel like them should've go with the Batman Arkham system, where you can upgrade whenever you want.

    There's different ways to switch from weapon to weapon, but the best one is to hold the triangle button, which pauses the game, and then selecting the weapon. Tho i feel like it's very imprecise, since there were a number of occasions where i picked the wrong weapon by accident because of the menu.

    Aside from the main weapons we also get a few gadgets that can help Ratchet in his adventure, but i felt like they were not used to the maximum potential, since the puzzles and things that they do seem...unimportant. Except for the oxygen mask, breathing underwater is great.

    Clank also gets a few upgrades, but they are pretty much the same with one being a helicopter and another being a jetpack. Both of these are very useful for platforming around and using the jetpack to fly feels great. Nevertheless i did feel like Clank could've been used a bit more in this category.

    To trow variety to the mix we also have puzzle sections with Clank, a tedious and pace breaking hacking minigame that can go **** itself, incredibly fun racing competitions and flying sections that are basically a clone of Star Fox complete with BARREL ROLLS! and everything.

    Instead of worlds divided by levels, we have massive hub worlds with main and secondary missions and it depends on you which one you want to do. And scattered around all of these worlds are some cards that i don't really know what they are used for and a GIANT-GOLDEN-BOLT that...i also don't know for what is used for.

    We also have some fairly challenging and fun boss battles, however i feel like they were all just the same. The formula is that you are placed in a platform, shoot the boss until he dies, that's it. Don't get me wrong, he bosses are fun, but i feel like they lack variety.

    Overall Ratchet & Clank is a very fun game, it has a decent story, graphics ripped out of a pixar movie, music that fit the environments, amazing weapons, fun bosses and an addictive component that makes the whole adventure very replayable. Even tho it has little flaws, i still recommend it a lot.

    There is some replayability in the form of a challenge mode wich is essentially new game + with a bolt multiplier. A good and more fun way to get any trophies you might have missed the first playthrough.
    So all in all a very good game and with a price tag at 40$ I can honestly give this game a 9 out of 10.    … Expand

This is basically a reboot of the series and they realize that with them frequently making jokes saying “see you in the next reboot”. My only issue is there was really no need for a reboot because the series didn’t have a convoluted story or wasn’t getting tiresome like Resident Evil. I see these games sort of like Final Fantasy; except the series is based on two characters. The stories don’t really interject at all they could’ve just done a new adventure.

    ​The story is another origin story. Ratchet wants to be a Galactic Ranger, and Clank is a run-away faulty war bot. These two team up for a reason I’m not a 100% why, but they do and end up joining the Galactic Rangers. They must stop Dr. Nefarious from destroying planets with his planet harvesting weapon. It has no surprise twist this is a very fun light hearted story that just leaves you feeling like a kid afterwards. The story has an interesting twist with the whole thing being narrated by Captain Quark who is in prison for reasons that are obvious, but I’ll refrain from saying. He is such a great character and occasionally if you are dicking around he will mention how Ratchet hated boxes with a fiery passion. If you want to see the movie I’d suggest seeing it before you play the game because this game to my knowledge follows the exact plot of the movie. Just with less talking and more ass kicking.

    The game looks beautiful and the characters all looks as they do except one. Dr. Nefarious isn’t half as cool as he looked in the original games. Instead of being some robot brain alien thing he is just an alien. This is a minor complaint it just didn’t make sense to keep everyone the same except him. Yet I don’t remember what he looked like in the original Ratchet and Clank so this may be spot on.

    The gameplay is something I missed and never thought I missed. 3D platformers are such a thing of the past and that is a damn shame. This game brought back the nostalgia of Ratchet and Clank while keeping it updated for this generation. What I mean is in the original you had to have so many bolts to continue. This means you have to go back to each map and be the bolt master. (Poor Pokémon joke) In this version you don’t need to do that at all and the maps are so linear you can easily 100% the game. The game is way easier than the original as well. The enemies are easier, and you can take more hits if you die. They introduce different mechanics as well. We get a stealth mission, some poor squirrelly flying sections and new funny deadly weapons. The weapons are amazing mixing old fan favorites with new bizarre ones. My fan favorite was Mr. Zurkon who is helpful against small enemies and talks **** the whole time. A new awesome one is this big ball that has an area attack that if leveled up is **** powerful. The gameplay has a very light RPG element and not violent at all so it is great for kids. The game is only 7-8 hours long with one mechanic I never understood with that being the trading cards they’ve added. They are supposed to give you a boost, but I never noticed nor did I care if I collected a whole set.

    Overall the game is fun to play with a funny light hearted story. With this coming out at the same time as Dark Souls 3 it is nice to have a relaxing game to just wipe away all frustrations. If you have kids I say buy this game for them and watch them melt away hours. If you are a fan of the series this game holds up super well and will give you nostalgia kick like no other so buy. Last if you never played a Ratchet and Clank game I recommend that you rent this. If you end up liking it this is a short enough game to blow through a weekend and have a wonderful weekend doing it. I give this game a 4.5 out of 5. I take off of the flying, dumb ass card collecting and the fact they changed one character into a less cool version of the original.    … Expand

    Ratchet and Clank is a culmination of everything Insomniac has done with the series over the past 14 years. It takes the characters that we fell in love with long ago, and sets them off on their most gorgeous quest yet. The deep and rewarding weapon system, beautiful and varied worlds, and charming-as-heck story make it an adventure that anyone with a PlayStation 4 should strap in for.

    The game is wonderful. Good storyline, design, controls, variety of weapons, and most importantly, passing the game you get a lot of fun. Playing this game is very hard to come off, the gameplay is so addictive.

    Ratchet & Clank is a flawless game, it has amazing level design an engaging fun story a perfect weapon and combat system and more! The planets/levels all feel different to the last with new elements thrown in, and the amazing visuals audio and the soundtrack truly support all these planets especially the soundtrack it’s perfect. The story for the most part is great it’s fun engaging andRatchet & Clank is a flawless game, it has amazing level design an engaging fun story a perfect weapon and combat system and more!     Visually, the game looks like you’re playing a Pixar movie—fantastic. The music is good superhero stuff, it doesn’t get in the way, and that’s all it needs to do. The story is pretty simple and really predictable, but that’s also how the originals were, so there’s no surprise there. I appreciated the funny bits, and there were lots of interesting personalities that I enjoyed, like Mr.Visually, the game looks like you’re playing a Pixar movie—fantastic. Since you’re on my team, you get a pass.

    Where the game really shines is the guns. The guns are really, really fun to use, and they upgrade quickly, without any tedious level grinding. It’s a great, cartoon-ish third-person action game where you can make entire screens of enemies explode all at the same time, and it just feels wonderful.

    But I did deduct a point because the story was a little too predictable. If it had kept the funny writing and had something that was more surprising or interesting in the plot, it would have been a 10, but once I reached the end of the game and found that Challenge Mode was basically just a New Game + with the same story, I decided to move on.

    Always love a good Ratchet and Clank game! One thing I always hated about these games though is when you play as Clank. His sections of the game (exxceot for a Crack in Time) always bore me. But still a great game and a great reboot!

    A lot of fun really enjoyed it. First of the series I played fun for kids 8 and up and for the older gamer a decent challenge on higher difficulties. Points deducted for that under water sewer level that took me 9 attempts

    This game is perfect!!! fast paced, perfect difficulty, thousands of upgrades (all fun or useful), decent music and the best of all, it keeps you stuck and addicted to the ps4 for hours

    Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.
