    The key adjetive here is FUN! it doesn't matter if you're new to the series or a newcomer (such as myself), the gameplay has a bit of a retro feel that brings a little nostalgia to us older players, but it's still fresh and entertaining all the way. If you want a quick funny and entertaing time with your PS4, this is your game.

    This is a really good game ! I spent around 14-15 hours to complete the campaign and I found a lot of variety in this game (it is not at all repetitive like other games). Here are a few pros:

    +: There are a lot of different weapons you can use and it's interesting to use them with strategy +: There are plenty of interesting puzzles in this game +: The controls, the pacing and the    This is a really good game !     - The final boss is quite frustrating and way harder than anything before him (in my opinion). I'm a average skill player and I had to try at least 15 times to finally beat him

    A classic game from the Playstation 2 era, Ratchet and Clank clashes into our PS4 hard drive in a moment of need. To be fair, not many games had caught my interest on PS4 until this game released. After a few amazing days hours, I found myself preferring this title to the PS2 counterparts. It's not a easy feat, but Insomniac Games pulled it off.

    Phenomenal all around game! Upgrade system of weapons it s great ,grapfics are beatifull, must play for every Ratchet & Clank fan!
    Negatives :- TOO MUCH CUT CONTENT just so this game could fit with the useless movie
    -the game is running at 30 FPS.

    que juego tan maravilloso, despues de la muerte de crash a sony ya le hacia falta un juego de aventuras de este estilo me encanto, es el primer juego que juego de esta saga aunque no se si a parte de este hay otros juegos pero en pocas palabras, exelentes graficas, soundtrack bueno, gameblay maravilloso

    Ratchet & Clank PS4 is certainly not a replacement for Ratchet & Clank PS2, despite a few quality of life updates that do improve it over the original. While this is indeed a great game, as remake/re-telling of Ratchet & Clank PS2 game, it stumbles enough to not reach its full potential.

    Insomniac did a great job with this remake. Great level design, perfect technical performance and nice gameplay. Seems a contemporary comics made by Pixar but playable.

    The Ratchet and Clank reboot is entirely entertaining and worth playing. While the story isn't quite as engaging, it still manages to bring back the spark of the originals as well as innovate enough that it holds up as its own game.

    There is literally no doubt that this game is fantastic!
    Just like every other ratchet and clank game, this is just amazing.

    There are just way too many positives to put out so I'm not going to bother.

    But it does have some flaws.

    I have never played another game in the series but decided to pick this up and I have to say I was not disappointed. The visuals are amazing, the gameplay far exceeded my expectations, the story and narration both top notch. I would really have to dig deep to find anything negative to say about this game.

    This Ratchet and Clank is a reboot in the purest sense of the word, rather than a remastered version. And it is a very good reboot, indeed.

    As almost all the Ratchet and Clank games, it is story-wise and full of little jokes and comical moments. I have found the narrative framework a bit confusing at times, perhaps because it combines elements from the film and from the original game,    This Ratchet and Clank is a reboot in the purest sense of the word, rather than a remastered version. And it is a very good reboot, indeed.

    As almost all the Ratchet and Clank games, it is story-wise and full of little jokes and comical moments. I have found the narrative framework a bit confusing at times, perhaps because it combines elements from the film and from the original game, but this does not diminish the quality of the game at all in any case.

    Regarding gameplay, there is not much to say: it is addictive and easy to play, as all the games from the franchise. I played the original games on PS2 more than a decade ago, and I now feel that I used to enjoy them more than I do now. Still, I have enjoyed playing this one too, and I hope Insomniac keeps on developing new adventures for these two characters, probably the two most representative of the company.

    Some Ratchet and Clank have been shorter or even worse than others, but in general it is always a worth playing video game.    … Expand

    I would give it an 8.6 so I rounded up. This game looks good in HDR and has quite the comic charm. It is not impressive but everything is just very good. Te levels, the humor, the characters, the extremely funny weapons, the graphics, the sound. I can recommend this action platfromer without regret for everyone

    This game is what a good game should be, fun as hell. Maybe it's not the best story, but everything is so fun, and the graphics look so great that playing it feel good. I honestly was expecting a little less, this was such a great surprise.

    Iconic return of platform greatness. Amazing graphic and the gameplay is smooth with excellent storyline. Hope more people can enjoy this game..
    FANTASTIC game - it is so refreshing to see an "E" rated game that is so well polished and fun to play! This is on par with Nintendo and Pixar - well done, we need more of this on Sony

    Being a ratchet and clank fan since the very first game i was hype a new ratchet and clank game was coming on the ps4 wished it was a sequel and not a reboot but it was still enjoyable same ratchet and clank i enjoyed as a kid.

This game feels like the movie, which was in it self not great.     Very rarely do I play a game all day long... but that's what happened with this one. This game has a ton of personality, weapons, upgrades, tactics, and level variation. The attention to detail is astounding, from game play to level design to the graphics/assets. Incredible for exploration as well, with lots of secrets you have to hunt around for.

    Great game and wonderful rework to one of the best ps2 games of all time. Graphics was pixar like which was good. Hope they expand series on ps4 and pick up where they left off from crack in time.

    After a long time without a proper Ratchet & Clank game i was waiting so long for this, and boy does it deliver.

    It feels just like the old PS2 R&C games which is more than i could've asked for. The humor is still there and at its best, gameplay is fun, smooth and feels great. Love the weapons and gadgets plus the upgrade system is great.     Every planet is just the right amount of open and just the right amount of linear...
    Some just straight up platforming... while others will have you diving, grinding rails... flying with a jet pack collecting brains from giant squid aliens... or completing races for a new gadget…
    each location also has a fair amount of variety in its enemies…
    and surprisingly enemies are addictive to kill thanks to the added rpg elements..
    As you progress through the game you’ll be able to buy new guns from the bolts that enemies drop…
    and to level these guns up you have to actually use them...
    Making each gun its own character..
    giving you incentive to try weapons out..
    This is by far the best way to level up weapons I’ve ever seen in a game period..
    As you level them up you’ll also unlock slots to spend raretaniium un to boost that weapons ammo capacity... damage range... collectible drop rates... among many other things..
    No 2 weapons have the same perks…
    and in 3d platformer fashion there are collectibles in this game...
    but these collectibles aren’t filler bull crap that many open world games like to throw in for padding…
    these collectibles like the golden bolts can unlock appearance changes and cheats that don’t effect trophies…
    and hollocards that if you collect all in a set will provide a boost in bolts, cards, or rareitanium drops…
    This leads to enemy encounters never feeling like a grind..
    This leveling up and item drops leaves you wanting more encounters with even more enemies…
    And after you complete the story you can play again in challenge mode, which is essentially a new game plus…
    The only downside to the game is really the story..
    The game is hilarious in moments... but for the most part this store of unsuspected heroes trying to save all of the planets from being destroyed never kept my attention…
    it felt like background noise of the awesomely addictive gameplay...
    While the story won’t keep you glued to the chair…
    the addictive gameplay and leveling up systems will...
    I give Ratchet and Clank

    This game is the definition of play it safe and give me money game.
    If you want to play Ratchet and Clank. Play the ps2 version as it has a better and serious story, Better character development, good sense of adventure, ALOT more content and it's probably cheaper too.    … Expand

The gameplay is fun and also challenging, there are a variety of weapons that you can use and some of them are so hilarious and so fun to use because the way they interact with the enemies which made the combat so interesting, the boss fights are also the strong point of this game and it's could be challenging when you play on a high difficulty.     Great re-imagining to the first game. Great weapons, plenty of upgrades and collectibles. Few planets have been removed however others have been improved and made longer. Jet pack is a great editions and amazing to use in game. Highly recommended for R&C fans.

    A lost art brought back to life, the third person platformer. This game combines gameplay and story very well, and has an addicting upgrade system that has to do with skill, card decks, and choice. Interesting level design and incredible pacing create a great experience and a work of art.

    Insomniac is back in form with R&C. I'm glad to see they stopped with the experimental coop and TD gameplay and went back to what made R&C great. This pseudo-reboot is a fantastic looking and sounding game with all the familiar elements you might expect: fantastical alien planets to explore, a story that doesn't take itself too serious, platforming, grindrail and hover sequences and ofInsomniac is back in form with R&C. I'm glad to see they stopped with the experimental coop and TD gameplay and went back to what made R&C great. This pseudo-reboot is a fantastic looking and sounding game with all the familiar elements you might expect: fantastical alien planets to explore, a story that doesn't take itself too serious, platforming, grindrail and hover sequences and of course an arsenal of ridiculous weapons and gadgets. And all of that at a discount release price, I can only say it's well worth it. Here's hoping though the next R&C is going to be a proper sequel, hate to see them trying to remake all of them.… Expand

    The gameplay is fun being simple to understand, although the controls are not always the best. but make no mistake this is not an easy game managing to bring a fair dose of challenge,    A classic experience that is no longer found today, Ratchet & Clank is not a simple remaster but the transportation of a 3d platform game to today, with beautiful graphics and lots of particles everywhere.

    The gameplay is fun being simple to understand, although the controls are not always the best. but make no mistake this is not an easy game managing to bring a fair dose of challenge, this added to the great number of weapons and interactions between them brings a good variety of how to deal with enemies (for example, turning everyone into sheep and putting them to dance) makes it even satisfactory for more experienced players.

    The carton style of the game that refers to a children's animation helps the graphics to age well and is still a very beautiful with different and striking planets, the lowest point of the game is undoubtedly its story that despite having the duo of very charismatic and diverse main characters, he never seems to reach his true potential, always making jokes and criticisms of the modern life model and working relationships more often in a superficial way.

    Ratched and Clank is undoubtedly a good game made with care and attention at all stages much more than a remake is a new and different experience that manages to bring in a modern way what it was like to play video games 20 years ago despite losing a little bit of your more daring personality to perhaps please everyone more broadly, is still a game that can be summed up in guaranteed fun for everyone.    … Expand

    Хотя игра и делалась для детей,но на высокой сложности заставит попотеть и взрослых.
    Проходится примерно за 11 часов,и не успевает приесться. Постоянная прокачка оружия и сами новые оружия разбавляют игровой процесс в полной мере. Местные левел дизайнеры постарались сделать так,что бы ты не хотел уходить с локации не изучив ее    Игра во всех аспектах простая,но поэтому она и хорошая.
    Хотя игра и делалась для детей,но на высокой сложности заставит попотеть и взрослых.
    Проходится примерно за 11 часов,и не успевает приесться.
    Постоянная прокачка оружия и сами новые оружия разбавляют игровой процесс в полной мере.
    Местные левел дизайнеры постарались сделать так,что бы ты не хотел уходить с локации не изучив ее полностью.

    A los juegos de Ratchet & Clank no se le piden que sean obras maestras. Se le piden que sean súper divertidos. Y este lo consigue, como el resto de la saga. Siendo una reimaginación del primer juego de la saga debido al lanzamiento de la película está un nivel muy alto. Volver a visitar los planetas del juego original es un lujazo y más a ese nivel gráfico. En cuanto a la cantidad de armasA los juegos de Ratchet & Clank no se le piden que sean obras maestras. Se le piden que sean súper divertidos. Y este lo consigue, como el resto de la saga. Siendo una reimaginación del primer juego de la saga debido al lanzamiento de la película está un nivel muy alto. Volver a visitar los planetas del juego original es un lujazo y más a ese nivel gráfico. En cuanto a la cantidad de armas y sus mejoras son bastantes llegando a tener que empezar una nueva partida para sacarte el platino. En cuanto a los escenarios y enemigos, los diseños son imaginativos y bonitos, como en el resto de entregas. La historia, plantea algunos cambios respecto al juego original pero que le quedan muy bien sin ser una historia de 10. Es disfrutable de principio a fin, además de tener coleccionables y como no, los guitones de oro para desbloquear atuendos secretos, munición infinita, etc.. Muy recomendable.… Expand

    Un remake/reboot di un gioco che non ho mai giocato prima, ma che mi ha saputo intrattenere senza alcun problema dall'inizio alla fine. Il gioco é molto ben fatto a livello tecnico, sia visivo sia audio. Il gameplay é solido, molto frenetico soprattutto nella parte finale. Una caratteristica tanto rara quanto divertente é non solo il fatto di avere a disposizione una marea di armi tutte inUn remake/reboot di un gioco che non ho mai giocato prima, ma che mi ha saputo intrattenere senza alcun problema dall'inizio alla fine. Il gioco é molto ben fatto a livello tecnico, sia visivo sia audio. Il gameplay é solido, molto frenetico soprattutto nella parte finale. Una caratteristica tanto rara quanto divertente é non solo il fatto di avere a disposizione una marea di armi tutte in contemporanea, ma anche armi particolari e strane come il percorizzatore o la stupenda Pixelator HD : forse una delle armi migliori di sempre per quanto mi riguarda. Tutto quanto di bello c'é a livello artistico e di gameplay, va peró a scontrarsi con una componente narrativo estremamente blanda. La storia é raccontata in maniera troppo breve e in generale sembra quasi "una cosa in piú". Le battute dei personaggi a volte fanno sbellicare, ma spesso e volentieri avrei preferito scene un po' piú lunghe e dialoghi scritti meglio. Nel complesso titolo colorato, divertente, vivace e ben fatto. Ricchissimo anche di collezionabili di ogni tipo e di "lore" sulla saga.     It really is amazing, as a fan of the series I am glad to have its return on the ps4. The graphics are great, and really show the difference of the ps3 and ps4. The gameplay is not innovative, but highly refined from the previous ratchets, controls are alot better. And for a 40$ AAA game, its definitely worth it!

    Fantástico, increíble y espectacular. Esto es mucho más que un remake. Es un juego hecho con mucho mimo y que sobrepasa las expectativas puestas en él. El control es una maravilla y los gráficos están en otro nivel, realmente parece que son imágenes de una película de Pixar.

    I am on my third play through and am STILL having a blast! Awesome maps, sweet enemies, fair and amazing gameplay, the list goes on and on . AND it looks stunning! This is a must buy for PS4 for only $40

    Esse é o meu primeiro R & C , e ja virei um fã ..um jogo muito divertido..com uma jogabilidade bem fluida , fases do jogo muito bem ambientadas , enfim sao jogos como esse que vale a pena ter um vg..estao ficando em extinçao, espero que venda bem e que nos tragam mais jogos plataformas como esse..recomendo a compra..é um jogaço !!!

    Okay so before this games release I went out and got the Ratchet and Clank HD Collection and replayed the first game (I actually replayed them all but you get the idea XD) just so my memory of the game would be fresh when it comes to comparisons. I am huge fan of this series and have been pumped for this since it was announced. How did it turn out?

    Story/Characters -
    In my opinion this was the most improved upon aspect. While the original games story wasn't bad it was super bare bones. The characters (at least the ones that get screen time) are way more likable and relateable now, hell I even liked Qwark and I hated him in the original, yeah he got more likable in later games but in the first one he was just annoying. The story also feels more grand and epic than in the original. Seriously I cannot stress how well this was handled, they kept just enough the same to make it feel familiar but added just enough to make it feel new. Honestly I would like to see this re-imagined story continued with more games but we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

    Visuals/Sound -
    I know others have pointed this out a lot already but my god, the visuals in this game are STUNNING, it seriously feels like I am playing a CG film from Pixar. That is how good this game looks, yeah its not hyper realistic but its not meant to be and as far as cartoony looking games go this is easily the best looking I have EVER seen. The sound effects are all really well done and the music is super fun and catchy as well.

    Gameplay -
    Honestly this is the most fun I have ever had with a Ratchet and Clank game. It brought back some classic elements and blended them together with more modern ones (like raritanium upgrades) to make what I honestly feel like is the best playing Ratchet and Clank game so far. Not to mention new fun systems like Holocard collecting. The weapons, both returning and brand new, are all really fun. One of my favorites is the Pixelizer which turned enemies into highly detailed 2-D sprites and when they die they fall apart into a pile of Pixels, the amount of work that must have went into that one weapon is impressive. The Groovitron is also really fun as always ;) Movement (running, jumping, and thrusting) all feels really smooth and natural. The controls just in general are super responsive.

    Verdict -
    This game is AMAZING. Seriously it is pretty much perfect and I would honestly love to see them give this same treatment to Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal. The Story is vastly improved over the original, the Visuals are absolutely jaw dropping, and the Gameplay is (in my opinion) the best in the series yet. They weren't kidding when they said this isn't a remake, its a re-imagining, because this blows the original out of the water in every aspect. If you are a Ratchet and Clank fan or even just someone who wants a Nintendo quality E rated game on your PS4 then you NEED to pick this up.    … Expand

    We need more games like this... this genre almost died with the 128 bits and it has to be revived, so please, please , please, make less FPS and more PLATFORM games!!!!!! Having said this, the main thing i can say is: the best platform game in years!!!!! although that is not very difficult... u.u

    I didn't think they'd be able to do it but Insomniac has exceeded all my expectations. They've managed to turn a classical game into a legendary one. The gameplay flows like butter, the writing is exceptional and the platforming wow!

    Do yourself a favour and just get this game. It's like being wrapped around a warm nostalgia blanket.

    This was the game that PS4 needed for the console lunch instead of Knack (aka i want to be Ratchet and clank so badly........). That said, its a fantastic game on every single aspect. Beautiful, Funny, lenghty and gameplay is great, very polished product and what is shocking is........ price is just 39.99 !!!!

Audio is fine and the voice acting is really well done. Controls are very fluid, jumping sections don't require pixel precision from you    I've never played any previous games so I can't compare them.

    However, as my first game in the series I really enjoyed it.

    One of the best exclusive ang just a game which came out in April 2016 and which I consider to be one of the most decent game released for PS4. First of all, I liked the style, the gameplay, the music, etc. Really, it feels fresh if you are not familiar with Ratchet and Clanck franchise. There's no doubt that you will dislike it.

    Super-enjoyable - Great to see the beginning of Ratchet & Clank again, stunning visuals, fun weapons, great humor and as always great voice acting. It's just an all-round feel-good game. Definitely recommended, I got it for a great price on PS Store. It's a definite 10/10 from me!

    It doesn't do anything special but it doesn't really need to. The gameplay is fun, and the graphics are respectable. This game could be fun for a 6-year-old or a 40-year-old, and there aren't many games like that. At $20 or less it's worth the money.

    First thing's first, the game looks GORGEOUS on the PS4. The amount of detail this game has, especially in areas like Metropolis, is astounding. The controls are fluid and really easy to get used to as well. While Ratchet felt a little slow in the first game, he's a little more speedy here. If I ever fell off a ledge, I was the one to blame for bonehead moves, it was never the controls or Ratchet's traction or anything like that. Clank feels good to control in his segments too; again, he was a little slow in the original game, but it feels good to control him here.

    The structure of this game is very similar to the original, but there are new elements that weren't in the original game that will keep veterans on their toes and newcomers entertained. The characters are all likable, even the ones that are going to be in the upcoming film. They're introduced here so that we get to know them; that way, when we see the movie, we'll know who they are, which is a really good move in my opinion.

    The self-referential humor is actually really great; most of the characters are aware they're in a game (and a reboot, at that), and the jokes that come from that are pretty funny. There are even some other jokes that serve as subtle references/cheeky nods to the first game, like the mechanic from the planet Novalis covering up his -ahem- "plumber's crack," which is something Ratchet made fun of in the first game. Little references like that are great.

    All in all, I am so glad Insomniac decided to return to this franchise and reboot it for today's generation of gamers. It, like many well-done reboots, serves to bring in newcomers to check out the series while satisfying long-time veterans, and as a veteran of only the first game in the series, I for one have to say Insomniac did a phenomenal job with this game. Seeing as the big platforming icons like Crash, Spyro, Sly Cooper, and others haven't been around for quite some time, this game serves as the ultimate example of "You can in fact return to an old platforming franchise and revitalize it for the current generation of gamers and it WILL sell." Of course, if you return to an old franchise like the ones I mentioned, you'd have to handle a new game in their series right, or else, well...let "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" be an example of what happens when you DON'T handle a new game in an old franchise with care. It's obviously not a platformer, but it's a poor excuse of a skating game in general, let alone a THPS game. But returning to my original point, this "Ratchet and Clank" reboot is amazing, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who's a 3D plaformer junky, whether you know the franchise or not. Hmmm, with this game in mind, maybe later down the road we can possibly get a new Spyro platforming game in 2018 for the purple dragon's 20th anniversary? Wink wink, nudge nudge?    … Expand

    Could it be better? Yes, but in minor ways. I'd have liked a bit more content personally - a few more items from the original perhaps, and perhaps a bit more padding in the middle. But these are really minor niggles.

    I don't know how "fashionable" these types of character platformers are in the age of Call of Duty nonsense, but I hope as many people as possible pick up this title, as it would be a real shame to see such creative endeavour go unrewarded.

    It scores a nine for me because it's one of the finest titles available in the modern era in its' genre. If you're a fan of platformers, this game is for you.    … Expand

The plot has been updated to be more complex than the original, and switches up during the last act in a way that, while probably predictable for someone fresh, would throw off anyone who thinks they know how it will end just because they played the OG R&C. One drawback I can think of is the bloated cast, inflated by the presence of the, for the most part, somewhat unnecessary Galactic Rangers. They never really do anything besides keep the player company during stages, and this alone takes away from the "Ratchet & Clank vs. the Galaxy" feeling that was captured so well in the original and subsequent titles like Going Commando and Tools of Destruction. However, that is just a personal complaint, though it, along with the restructuring of the plot, can be attributed to why the game doesn't have as many locations as the original, and therefore is not as long. While this game does not reach the same peak of the series that A Crack in Time did, it is a more than welcome return to form for the franchise, and makes me eagerly await more in the future. The question is not whether or not this is a good game, but rather, "if you own a PS4, and you have not played this yet, why the hell not?"… Expand

    Game is very fun and you spend hours and hours playing it. It's good that kind of game consoles on Sony because today - nowadays - it's hard to find anything like that and good. Certainly they managed to get the whole essence of the previous games and put that game. I recommend for fans of this little hero and for those who like platform games.

    I have to say I was disappointed with this game. The visuals were amazing, as was the selection of guns and the gunplay, however the sense of adventure was lost, as was the humour and the story.     A lot of the little touches have been lost this time around, with animation looking either weirdly too good as it's been cut straight from the film (this also makes the narrative so thin) or looking downright awful, with motionless sprites that stand there barely moving their mouths delivering dialogue. It's embarrassing. Honestly, go look at the cutscenes from the Ps2 game, the animation is SO much better and with worse technology, it's really bewildering. The little quirks that helped to build the world in the last game aren't there, replaced by lifeless areas that certainly don't give the impression they are real, inhabited places.

    You felt as if you were always improving in the first game. Sure, here you arbitrarily level up your gun to get better damage/ammo whatever, but in the old game it was so much more. You'd attain the jet pack, allowing you to go back and access more areas, as with the gas mask, allowing ratchet to go outside in space and gas-filled areas like he couldn't before. This was the same when you got the grav-boots, rail-boots etc., the progression felt so good and gave meaningful reason to go back to older planets.

    The characters of Clank and Ratchet are simply boring now, they pander to a REALLY young audience and their relationship has no arc. They meet and, oh, instant best friends.

    This game lacks magic. It's obviously still very impressive gameplay wise given that it takes the Ratchet formula, and the Clank sections are certainly better than before, however it doesn't have anything truly memorable about it. Very disappointing, but maybe because it was only 25 quid off the bat they didn't have the budget for better cutscenes etc so they had to take from them from the movie? Who knows. It's an alright game, but in no way does it touch the brilliance of the original trilogy.

    One last thing Insomniac: Why tack on jokes about social media? No one will ever laugh when you talk about 'the kids' loving 'the social medias'. No one. EVER.    … Expand

    Spoilers Start here skip ahead to avoid them.

    This game is marketed as a remake of the original and while that is true, it is more a reboot of the original mixed slightly with Up Your Arsenal. The main villain is still Drek, but this time Dr Nefarious is thrown into this game, his original appearance is in Up Your Arsenal. There were also some slight changes to how they handled the characters and their relationships. Making them a bit more kid friendly and almost certainly did so because they want the movie to appeal to kids heavily, but it works. Captain Qwark is no longer the villian he initially was in the original and is instead a good person in this one who suffers from a bit of jealousy that is directed at Ratchet, and even after his betrayal in this game he still remains good hearted and in the end redeems himself. Making his character very likeable unlike in the original series where he didn't have his turn to good until later in the series where he became a much more prominent character. This is good for the character as Qwark, at least to me, is a better character and much more enjoyable once he reaches this point in the original series and it's good to see it happen in what will hopefully be the first in a new series. The one drawback from a story standpoint in this game is there is no tension or conflict between Ratchet or Clank, and are instead buddy-buddy from the get go and never look back. I felt the conflict that these two had in the original lead to some great character growth for Ratchet and we don't get this here.

    The best part about this game though is the gameplay. They have fined tuned the R&C series over the years and it shows. Aiming is the smoothest it has been, same goes for movement. The collection of weapons, while certainly not the most diverse it has ever been is very solid and has a lot of great choices to choose from for destroying your foes in front of you. Every weapon serves its purpose and can support many different play styles. Of course some series favorites return in the Groovinator, Bomb Glove, and above all else the R.Y.N.O.. Along with some new weapons like the Predator Launcher. Upgrading weapons is a bit more time consuming in this game than the original but there are far more upgrades for each gun.

    The planets proceed close to what the original game does with some slight changes here and there. Each world though looks gorgeous and there were plenty of times where I just had to stop to look around.

    There are some very R&C esque glitches that can happen, and you would think that with the extra time that was given on this game they would have ironed them out, but no. There can instances of not being able to progress in certain levels because something didn't spawn properly, I fell through the map quite a few times, and during the race mini game there would be times where the boost rings wouldn't spawn. A quick closing of the app fixes these problems but still, they shouldn't be happening.

    Ultimately, this entry in the R&C series is a worthy one and is certain to entertain you for at least a few play throughs even with the bugs that can occur.    … Expand

    Story: A story in Ratchet and Clank is enjoyable, but it still has some missing development between Ratchet and Clank. I just wish they can develop more about those 2 guys to feel they need each others, they born to be together. Because I feel the connection between them is not good enough. But still, the story is enjoyable. They just could have remade it better.

    Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.
