This remake operation by Interceptor and Apogee contains many flaws that undermine its overall success; autosaves are too infrequent, frustrating platform sections, as well as a game formula that is so naive and "harmless" (splatter included) that will hardly find proselytes out of the retrogamers circle.

Taken as a single package Prinny 1-2 exploded and reloaded is not so bad. However, it is impossible to turn a blind eye to the mere porting operation performed by the developers. The two games have been modernized by a bland filter for 2D elements, without any possibility to intervene on the graphics. The result is a slightly blurred image, even in portable mode, which together with the rigid and frustrating gameplay, outline a very lazy and unattractive package.

The beginning with the naval engagements is compelling, some missions are well thought out and taking the role of this new Connor is like to control a superhero. Labyrinth Legend turned out to be a good but not great dungeon crawler. The game has an underlying simplicity that makes it really suitable for anyone but lacks the substance to best complete the work. The sound and the graphic style are above average but they fails to raise the fate of the game, condemned by its repetitiveness especially if not faced in co-op. Instead, the developers decided not to take any risks and to stick to tried and tested formulas: a sufficient product that doesn't innovate but is entertaining; all the typical elements of CyberConnect2 games are there, capable of teasing lovers of the genre, but without ever taking risks or aspiring to anything new.
