AI LIMIT shines in its world design, dark setting, and strategic combat, offering a worthy challenge for fans of the soulslike genre. However, its high difficulty (and consequently recurring deaths) can be frustrating for some players. Issues such as translation errors and bugs also prevent a more refined experience. Still, for those looking for a challenging and engaging RPG, AI LIMIT delivers a rewarding experience.

AI Limit can appear like a by-the-books souls-like. Still, more than enough gameplay design decisions grant it inherent distinction, favoring those who prefer swifter movement in their action games. Coupled with an impressive array of character customization that individualizes one’s playthrough, alongside engaging exploration, you have a reasonably satisfying package here with a welcoming playtime of 20 hours or so. Yet, the meager challenge and mishandled balancing may turn off those seeking a more fulfilling venture.

AI LIMIT delivers great combat, map design, and story, but suffers from repetitive enemies, forgettable bosses, and reused environments — still worth it for genre fans.

It's rough around the edges, but there's plenty to like about AI Limit. While its combat may be lacking impact, unique features such as the Frame system and the sync meter keep things interesting. And though it is challenging, some players will undoubtedly like the fact that it's not as hard as most other Soulslikes out there, making it more welcoming to newcomers to the genre.

Despite its limitations, AI Limit excels at what matters, which is why it's been a pleasant surprise. Obviously, it's not the best soulslike game in the world, nor the most innovative, but it doesn't need to to be as enjoyable as any other.

While AI Limit offers an accessible soulslike experience with a unique synchronization system and decent early exploration, it ultimately suffers from clunky combat, uninspired world-building, forgettable bosses, and a lack of originality that keeps it from standing out.

If you are a mud enthusiast, then you’ll find a lot to love about AI Limit and will likely see it through to completion. If, like the rest of us, you’re ambivalent about mud, then AI Limit doesn’t do nearly enough with its combat, nor with its world-building, to keep you playing for long.
